I'm not an American. However, when I would see police officers on RUclips demonstrate flagrant disregard for the Constitutional rights of US citizens time and time again, I would ask, "Weren't they taught this in school, or, at least, at the police academy?" I see thuggery, arrogance, brutality, and sometimes, murderous intent. What's worse, there is little desire to correct this loathsome behaviour by their bosses and elected officials.

It happens every day country wide, our cops are out of control. But MSM doesn't cover it. They cover 1 story a year like George Floyd, and they only do it to enflame racial tensions, not because they suddenly want police accountability. It's so people like you can watch that and think it's the only thing happening, and that it's just a couple cases a year no big deal, but it's misdirection, we are in a full blown police state. And I don't expect you to agree, but I would implore you to look for it yourself and don't take MSM's word. There are all kinds of channels, if you're on the Left/middle/nonpolitical there is The Real News Network, if you're on the Right you've got channels like GoodLuck America. I assume most people watching this don't like auditors, and that's fine, but this is exactly what they are fighting against. Maybe you think they are just baiting cops, or harassing people, but I would hope seeing something like this would open your eyes. It happens to people every single day, it's only a story now because it happened to a mainstream channel, but when you need to record for your protection you will be glad so many donated their efforts to protect your right to record and document for news purposes. They've stripped every one of your rights, if you still think the constitution will protect you, you have another thing coming. Those are just words, with endless legal loopholes and the system just aching to punish all dissidents. Sorry for ranting, and for any assumptions about you I might have made, but it's important to me. And if not relevant to you, maybe someone else who sees it.

It doesn't matter if you think it was unjust, you put your hands behind your back. Let me say that again, if an officer says to put your hands behind your back, you put your hands behind your back. It's literally in the law, if you struggle or refuse to do so (by intentionally planting your hands to prevent it) you get any manhandling they do to get you put your hands behind your back.
It's clear that they were trying to get him to leave peacefully and he refused. I don't care that he is a reporter, if you are asked to leave for a reason then anything after that is trespassing (and it's clear that he was refusing to leave).
Guess what as well, the trooper tried gently guiding him out of the gym and the guys response was get your hands off me. The "journalist" is the one who escalated everything and then they post only the clips that make them look like they are the good guys. They conveniently left out the bit where he tried walking around the officer, and the bits where he was instructed to put his hands behind his back and he refused (which if you go trolling around you can find the video that does show it)

The likelihood is that this reporter inadvertently caught some covert police dirt on camera and the cops recognized it. The reporter probably didn't even know that he'd captured something nefarious on the periphery, but the cops fabricated disorderly conduct and trespassing allegations as a pretext to seize his equipment. They needed his six hours of detention to delete the evidence before the reporter saw it.
Dewine needs to have all of the reporter's equipment analyzed by media experts to see if they can recover the footage and determine what was deleted. Since it was being broadcast live, they need to look at the footage received in Washington by his agency in addition to records made by any other journalists at the event. Since he was there, Dewine needs to play the events back in his mind to see if he remembers anything unusual.
