    These Memory Corridors are great way to show off Edward's Character Development throughout the game.

      Either that or have all of mankind free to ravage the Earth, unrestrained and intoxicated, yet dangerously irrational with spirits willing to cause as much pain and destruction as it is able until it eventually destroys itself because of its desire to be "free". Like some bratty teenager dying of an overdose of drugs after trying to express their right to do so. Just like Charles Vane.

      +EmptyMan000 I understand your perspective. I don't agree with the amount of faith that Assassins put in humans to make right decisions. At the same time, I don't agree with the Templar's standpoint whereby they would completely imprison society. That said, there is a need for order and stability. You can employ that without utilizing the control that Templars want.

      @@TheBombayMasterTony wouldn't it be cool if a new secret society with a balanced worldview is introduced in the series?

    • @TheBombayMasterTony
      @TheBombayMasterTony 3 года назад +4

      @@speedking7224 I don't believe that would work. It would actually go against the narrative that's been pushed up to this point. Different games have presented different perspectives. As time goes on, the idea that a balanced approach is necessary for mankind is seen as the ideal solution for an end to the conflict. The way that goes about happening is if these two secret societies reach that agreement themselves, not with a third party.

    The thing that most people seem to miss about these is that, except for the last couple, these are not Assassin vs Templar ideals. They're pirate vs Templar ideals. ESPECIALLY the Hornigold one. Just like Arno and Jacob after him, Edward here hears the Creed and sees it as a freedom from responsibility and accountability. When in reality it's the opposite. The acknowledgement that while, you should be free, if you fuck things up, it's on you.

    Edward's speech to Torres really gives me chills.

  • @JabamiLain

    As always, I find Templars that deserved to be spared, and most of these actually are pretty easy to spare :
    -Hornigold;
    -Torres (I know he found the location of the Observatory, but he can't do anything with it, because without the Skull, the place fills itself with deadly traps that are near to impossible to avoid, and with it, the place can be locked up again and it won't open again unless a new Sage appears);
    -I can't make up my mind regarding Marquéz because I see both her side and of the Taíno, so I would thank for some piece of advice regarding her destiny.

    • @kamuiwarp1784
      @kamuiwarp1784 3 года назад +2

      I agree, when it came to Marquéz honestly I'd think if it wasn't for her father's influence and if she looked at the world for herself instead of living someone else vision by making her own with her own ideals instead of what was bread into her she might have changed. But then again that kind of influence is hard to change.
      Hornigold seems to me to just want to see something actually be done without seeing wasted potential around him. Though I think he just lost hope simalir in a sense to how Shay did though I could be wrong on this.
      Torres I'm not sure because even if the Observatory is out of his grasp couldn't he just bring in new members and carry the knowledge of the Observatory until the next stage is found in the later generations of Tenplars?

      @@kamuiwarp1784, regarding Torres, I'm willing to take that chance. He's a better Templar than most. He represents the best parts of the Order, and it's rare for a Templar to actually show in a peaceful way why their Order might be right. I identify myself with the Templars and I wanna see my Order be both respected and loved.
      Regarding Marques, her past was not the reason I couldn't make my mind up, but it sure gives me the answer I searched. I actually found out that she was adopted and that explains her burning desire to own the land, it's because she feels like she owes her father after the fact he took her in. Besides, spending some time with the natives could show her new, peaceful ways to modernize the tribe, because even though they've got the right to be free, it's not good to keep yourself shackled to the past.

    • @kamuiwarp1784

      @@JabamiLain I'm still uncertain with Torres, I agree he was better than most but I wonder if he was too ambitious. There are lines that should be set but I'm not sure if he respected this. Remember that being human means having limitations, if you don't accept that and you have something like the Observatory it makes you dangerous. Though I would have liked to have find another way other than kill him.
      Didn't know that about Marquéz but it does make sense. When someone takes in you will feel indebted to them especially in how she was. If she did spend time with the natives I'm sure she wouldn't have needed to die or even be hostile towards maybe but I agree.

    • @JabamiLain

      @@kamuiwarp1784 all they needed to do was to take her as a prisioner, but enable her to do "communitary work" should she behave well. That, plus the fact that they are part of the Assassins, which means, they are stealthy, they could keep both her and themselves hidden from any rescue teams the Templars could send.
      And about Torres, he was old, so he was going to die incredibly soon, which means, his ambition would not be a problem for longer. Soon, he would be replaced for some Templar disciple who had more, "practical goals" in mind (you know, like Haytham when he stoped searching for the Great Temple).
