Hello! Can I just use an everyday clothes iron? If so, what iron settings? I'm new to Cricut and just to practice I have been buying from Michael's...is their HTV heat resistant?

I don't have a great video myself on what iron settings to use, but this video from "Makers Gonna Learn" should be what you need: ruclips.net/video/DWAG5v1T24Q/видео.html You can buy both adhesive vinyl and iron on vinyl from Michaels so you will want to check the packaging to see what it says. If it says permanent adhesive vinyl then you will not want to apply heat to it. That is a sticky material that does not require heat. If the packaging says that it's iron-on vinyl or heat transfer vinyl (HTV) then that is the type of vinyl you would want to use with an iron. I hope this helps!

For it to be even, add in a foam piece underneath the canvas
I like canvas panels sense they don't have a board underneath.
Regular canvas you buy for an artist is not cotton?
I think cotton is usually the material they are made out of. 🙂
