My CC01 is one of my favorites because it has so much character. I put the tamiya aluminium dampers on as well as all aluminium suspension parts. That makes the suspension a lot better. Check out the LED wheel on RUclips, he has several videos on modifying the CC01.
For a smoother start up you can also try a 5 slot motor instead of the standard 3 slot. A 5 slot motor will have less turns to a equivalent 3 slot motor eg a 16 turn 5 slot is similar to a 27 3 slot motor but has a smoother start up.
This is the only car I own were I felt like that the TBLE02S didn't cut ut. Except for my 4.5T TT02 that is :P But a drag brake is essential for running this kind of car. A set of good tires and it's an awesome trail truck. I have the Pajero - with a heavy ABS body on it - but I just love the suspension and how realistic it is. The Land Rover is poly, but it's quite big so I think you'll get some of that soft bouncy action as well :P
I added a 3:1 reduction unit to my cc01 to help with making it more controlled on the throttle. Also did you pack out the rear differential to stop it moving around in the housing? This is really worth doing. Another well made video 👍 love watching this channel
@@RCKickschannel the CC-02S could do with inner wheel arches tho, so I don't get any crud flinging up into the shell. Carisma SCA-1E made some for the Range Rover maybe I'll see if I can adapt them.
Tamiya have released the CC01 with 3x different wheelbases (242mm, 252mm, 267mm), the Land Rover CC01 uses the short 242mm wheelbase. Fortunately, Tamiya include the M parts sprue with this kit so you also have another w/b option of 257mm requiring only an expanding propshaft to allow whatever wheelbase you desire.
What are the differences between all the chassis, googling hasent helped much and the sites that do pop up have the unhelpful default product blurb where they focus on how the product is great and not how different it is from other chassis

Awesome vid, great soundtrack on your montages 👌
Thanks 🙏🏻
inexpensive 55T motor will work wonders.... great video
Looks great
I signed up for the channel!

You want to look at the Yeah racing metal upgrades for it .
I like the hot racing rear links better than the yeah racing ones.
@@SnarkyRC not seen them will have a look cheers.
Wouldn't worry about the steering, the real thing has the turning circle of an oil tanker anyway.

Yep 100% 👍🏻

Great RC it’s unique. I have three and want more. The steering is crap but they are so great
Building cc-02 version got a pre painted one
Enjoy it’s a good trail truck chassis and looks fantastic.
Maybe you have mentioned it in a video already - but what about doing a video about RC dampers and setting rebound and all that jazz?

No I didn’t pack the diff in the housing, I’ll add it to the upgrade list
@@RCKickschannel it is worth doing and its free as you have the parts as they came with the kit
Wow the CC-02S is massively different and more complicated to make, with good steering too.
No inner wheel arches on the ladder chassis CC-02S either.
Yep it’s a big change between the two CC chassis

So what do you do with the mountain of bushings you must have collected by now? 😄
do u like the top force? :D

will you build the sand scorcher at 10k subs ;))

@@BlitzWorks I think TT01 is a road car chassis (Touring Car). CC01 is a Cross Country (CC) Chassis. But I'm not an expert on all the different ones.

35t motor upgrade and lock both diffs
35t motor on order :)
Please try to be less loud and flamboyant. A sober soundtrack well prepared will work wonders.
The stock tyres are rubbish. RC4WD makes some that work brilliantly.
yep 100% junk. Fine for a shelf queen but not for any real trail driving.
