Thank you soooo much for your recipe. We had a Lift Jesus Conference in our church and I was asked to make soup for all the pastors. I tried this but double the amount. Oh my goodness it was a hit! Some of them even had 3 servings. Now I’m being called the “soup lady”😅 I’ll be making it again for my next family gathering.

I was shocked to see only 3k subs! The production of this video is great! I made this and in all honesty the results were restaurant quality flavor. Really, really good! I added a little cayenne for kick and put 1/3 of it minus the shrimp in the vitamix for a smooth texture. I also use President butter, cultured, imported from France but available everywhere. It has the most butter flavor of anything i’ve found. I know why they’re used but I didn’t have red potatoes and used gold. This is a nono of course because they disintegrate. Make sure you used red potatoes. Use fresh corn please Note theres a fair amount of prep time and process but it really was worth it! Thanks, this was amazing!
Wow! What a great comment. I appreciate that. Great idea using the Vitamix. That's a nice touch. My husband loves cayenne and is always telling me CAYENNE. Lol! I mainly use Falfurrias Butter only because I know it very well. It has a low water content which is a plus when making Toffee, which a do a lot especially this time of year. So I have always used it. But I've heard of Presidents butter and really I just recommend using high quality butter such as that period. Sometimes a world of difference as far as butter quality. Anyway, I loved your comment and feedback on the recipe. I'm going to use the Vitamix the next time I make this recipe. Thanks Again!
It’s the first cool weekend in North Texas so I made this today. Didn’t have shrimp so I used a pollock fillet I had in the freezer and it was amazing.
Made this over the weekend. HUGE success, thanks so much for sharing. Will be making this a lot, I think. Added 8 ounces of crab meat just to see what happens, good stuff.
Well Welcome! It really is an easy dish and really good. Thank you for subscribing. Here is the link to the recipe. darlenestable.com/?s=Shrimp+corn+chowder+
Our traditional Christmas is a seafood gumbo. But, I made this in November and it was the number one request for this Christmas. It's easy to scale up as well. PS, I know how to make gumbo.
It’s one of my favorites. Love a good gumbo but love this as well. I’m doing a prime rib for Christmas but now I wish I had decided on this Thanks for your comments
I will add that video to the queue to do. Emerald Lagasse has a really good recipe. Here is the link: www.emerils.com/120068/emerils-essence-creole-seasoning At this time we are in the process of selling our home and moving to Dallas. Hopefully we can restart in August or September. Thanks for the idea.
Thanks for sharing your recipe. question; when using frozen corn, is it better to let the corn thaw out before adding it, or OK to add it frozen? I realize it’d bring the temp down.
We've been busy selling our home so I haven't been active. Sorry for the late reply. But yes I have a lot of people who tried this recipe and loves it. Thanks!
@@DarlenesTable you just need to boil the cobs for a bit to gain the flavor out into the soup…..lots of older people do it as waste prevention.. sorry if it is not to your taste, only trying to help..
@@johannebeerbaum1546 No No I appreciate and value your suggestion. Your suggestion does have merit. I’m not sure there is much more added value. The chowder is plenty rich enough as is. I hope I’m not coming off as being rude as comments written can come off as cold and uncaring. I really do thank you for taking the time to watch my video and hope you have a blessed day.

That's a coincidence! We always end our satanic worship with the same soup, but with plenty of chillis 🌶

Can I use heavy cream instead ?
@@cedriumallison9589 Yes you can, but I would use 2 cups of heavy cream and 2 cups of milk
By the way I made this today.
Looks yummi but can't eat verggies, unfortunatelly :(
Awe that is unfortunate.
It would be better to cook the cobs in the broth as it thickens band remove before adding potatoes and the rest….
That would be very messy and I don’t see any real advantage to it. But thank you for your comments
