Fellow Slidellian here- Happy Thanksgiving-my family has cooked this every Thanksgiving, I am doing it for the first time this year, watching your video just to get some pointers since my family didn’t have a written recipe😂
Thank you for this recipe & video 🥰 I just finished making it & I am so happy it is delicious. I forgot the white wine but it's ok. I hope it freezes well because I live alone and this is a huge pot of soup.
Well done Sir. I have a seafood order coming in for Memorial Day and I bought enough to get 4lbs Jonah Crab claws added on and I know what I am gonna do with them :) What I also love about LA cooking is you can add/subtrract whatever you like with respect to vegetables, I always use leek in the soups/bisque/chowder. Thanks for an easy to follow video.
This looks delicious!!! I was transferred to LaPlace from Kansas City for several years!! I learned to cook gumbo etc but not this!! I can’t wait to cook it!
Lord that looks delicious can’t wait to try that recipe and yep I’m from Houma and we always make our own shrimp stock. I’m retired military residing in Dallas can’t even find shrimp stock here. Thanks for the recipe.
What a great recipe and love you're presentation, and how you cook it! I can't wait to do this in my kitchen! WOW! And I'm really interested in what kind of counter- top burner you are using there? I want to get me one. Please let me know.
The burner is made by Gas One. I bought it on Amazon. It uses both Butane or Propane. It has a pretty high output for a small tabletop burner. I do use a small propane tank with a hose rather than a green bottle. Thank you for your support.
This soup looks fantastic. Thank you for such for making it. You have such a warm presence. Subscribed! Also, if I may ask: What size is that pot? It's AMAZING! I have a 7-quart dutch oven, but I'm looking for one bigger, and your pot looks HUGE. I love it!
We bought a LeCreuset set a long time ago. We added pots at a lower price because we were at an outlet mall. That 15 quart pot today costs around $450.00 However, they are covered by a lifetime warranty. We recently sent back our 15 quart because the inside bottom porcelain was so stained it looked awful. We paid shipping one way. But the exchange was at no cost to me.
Looks delicious. Before I go out to buy ingredients, your video calls for 2 lbs of shrimp, but the list calls for 1. Maybe I missed something? Can you confirm, please? Thank you.
Thank you for sharing your recipe and showing us how to!
Lunchtime for us today 😁 thanks for the invite and recipe!!
Hope you enjoy!

Excellent! We are two and retirees. I am going to cook this one day. Will replace parsley with cilantro (the Indian in me).
Cilantro would not work for me. But if it works for you that’s what’s important. I hope you enjoy it
This looks so good…can’t wait to make it! ThanksMike and Pam! Great job!
You’re so welcome. Pro tip. 1. Use more shrimp. 2. Buy more crab meat to use as a topping over each bowl.
Okay that's on the to do list , I think it would be a hit for Christmas this year , good stuff indeed .
This recipe is approved by my 94 year old mother. 😂 She loved it.
This looks amazing! I cannot wait to make this soup. It is one of my favorites!
It’s so good. I know you’ll love it.
I am going to use your recipe for one of the football games or for a tailgate party. Thank you .

How many servings did the recipe make?

I like more shrimp. Use 2 pounds of shrimp. The amount of shrimp is not critical. I’m sorry for the confusion. Have a great week!! God Bless!!!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Can you substitute the heavy cream for anything? I can’t do dairy
I can’t say I’ve tried this but I would try plain Almond milk. I love Almond milk. 👨🏼🍳
That secret shrimp seasoning looks a lot like a can of Tony’s!
Tony’s is way too salty for me.
@@TheSandersKitchen I agree! I’ve tried it many times and you have to be careful. You can ruin a meal if you’re not careful!
@@shaneoakley8757they make a light sodium version of Tony’s these days should give it a try it’s solid
Can't hear you..
That’s chowder and not a bisque. Bisques are strained or puréed.
Ok. Come to Louisiana and try our cooking. Then you’ll understand. 😊
