"I faked my own deportation back to Japan!" Jesus christ my sides. I love when kids cartoons have jokes for adults in them. Oh and uh when you gonna give us an episode on Yu Yu Hakusho son?
I remembered it, but I vaguely remembered the new season at the time when Todd gets pants instead of his usual shorts and they seem to look a bit different too.
I found it hilarious that the running gag of the show was that the brother changed the school name to George Stapler and the name was kept the entire series.
@@charsta2072 I remembered some episodes from when I was a kid the one I remember the most is the soap box race one that was like that Simpsons episode. ANd the one where they replaced the teacher with a suffer dude because he wasn't used to snowdays so he would canncel school or something.

I thought the same thing. Man so glad I am far from the only one. But man after seeing this vid I might have to see if I can find them on DVD and buy it for nostalgic at the very least.
So Todd and Riley were ORPHANS?! Okay, I seriously thought the undertones of this show were WAY more messed up. It made me so uncomfortable that it kept me from fully enjoying it. From the into, I seriously thought they grew up in an abusive household and REPLACED their parents. I imagined abusive parents being paid to abandon their kids and was seriously bothered that Todd and Riley's memories of the past never came back up for better or for worse. Actually that still kind of bothers me because their life changed thanks to the phone. I can't think of any other show which involves someone's life completely changing but them immediately adjusting.
THAT''S EXACTLY WHAT I THOUGHT. what ... bruh. I thought this show was a fever dream but my brain was too stubborn to forget it and it eventually proved that m memory was right all along. I actually spent one day fully searching through cartoon network, disney XD and little bit nickelodeon, because I wasn't sure what channel this show aired on.
@@donnamitsuki281 Yeah... The theme song really isn't clear. It shows them moping in some place that to me almost looked like a prison. Truthfully I wasn't sure where it was. And it says they were sad before they came across the ad. Had they directly said the kids used to be orphans in the theme song or any of the episodes (that I saw), it would have cleared up a lot of confusion. Not to mention the show is called the Replacements, which kind of implies someone has to be replaced.
Is it possible when the kids got their parents that they were already in a relationship (dating than got married or already married) and them being parents is what they wanted and it was just the biggest set of circumstances in the world? Just me thinking this? Ok.
I always wondered that too. I just guessed that maybe the parent were chosen because they actually were together, so the company didn't have to force two random strangers to play parent (husband and wife) with each other. Plus, these two played it so well that it could be convincing to someone they are actually together.
This is one of the many Disney channel cartoons I don't remember I don't know if it was how most of their animated shows had less than 2 seasons or lack of promotion and reruns
How this company keeped going? Tax-payer money. The whole show is basicly the beta-testing of this program. About the advertisement in a comic book in the intro?.... redcon!!! Also Akobo is spanish? Allways thought he was indian
Actually the formula to this show is sorta similar to Fairly Oddparents. They use Fleemco for their own personal wishes and demands, but of course something always goes wrong and they gotta find a way to fix it and they gotta keep Fleemco a secret from other people.
I vividly remembered Riley’s friends, but nothing else about the show. So, for some reason, my brain decided that they were from Sabrina the Teenage Witch. To this day, I have no idea why I thought that. Once I figured out they weren’t from Sabrina, I had no idea what show they were from until just now.
Two episodes I remember: - They had used the phone too much and dude went on vacation (a nice twist) - The usual "parents go away and they stay alone and make a mess but clean it just before parents come back" anyway the nanny that was supposed to be with them was mean and made them clean their soap and that shit makes me laugh to this day.
I did love the FleemCo replacement system, they gave the people getting Replaced got to do a dream job or even do something they wished for a long time. Weirdly the characters I remember the most are Car aka C.A.R.T.E.R. and Dick’s mechanic/family friend, who’s has my favourite name in the show compare to all the other on the nose names, Phil Mygrave. He also had me laughing in his belief of duct tape fixes everything, and I also love how Car is the only character who ever comments on his whole name in the whole show.
