Hey Nathan , thanx a lot for all your information all around the m96 Engine! Very informative and authentic are your comments and story’s ! I will keep watching your channel ..! I m from Bavaria and actually I did work for Porsche in Zuffenhausen at the Museum . I had many times the opportunity to talk with the guys in the classic engine shop . Soooo Great .. I wish you could come for the sound night always in October … with all the old Racing Dudes on board 😎 I got me a 996 coupe C2 from Japan with 125.k Kilometers on it .. Engine is solid , just changed sparkplug tubes and did a pressure test ! All good .! Hope it lasts for a while 😇😃👌🏽 Small tip from my side , about the valve seating : you get a even better result for the seating , if you do it by hand with a stick , that has that rubber attached to it . You do it in a 2 Step procedure, first with a ruogh paste and than with a smoth Paste ! The result I amazing !! Keep up the good workshop 🙏🏽👍🏽 Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪 Torsten
I followed your video for the M 96 engine rebuild. I had a really hard time with timing the cams. Your video was perfect came out great runs good. My question is I have a 2004 turbo also that needs valve seals. Do you have a video instruction on that

You're meant to hold the grey part of the valve lapping gizmo and then you'll see how it's meant to work! Love your videos though.❤
Valve oil stem seal pliers are available , they aren’t expensive and do a super professional job 👍🏻
Cool..Watching The same motor I have go together..
Your way works. Rock on.
I believe its called Lapping the valves, not "lapseing" the valves.
While your waiting around…
Have the seats (and the valves) ‘Serty cut. Once in a car’s lifetime, midlife gittieup.
