    Revisiting this one, it's easy to see Cooper's Bucks were ready and really came out and played hard. Wish they could have played this loosely every time one of his teams faced the team up north.

    I remember this game...I was a freshman at tOSU...I watched it from my dorm room (in Lincoln Tower) & listened to it via radio. However, one of my suite mates attended the game & brought me back a piece of the turf! O-H!!

    I was there that day. Fickell's interception sealed this one. Mike Vrable and Luck Fickell were on the same D line.

    Really appreciate watching these now "old School" OSU vids...kinda wondering if you noticed as well the lack of buckeye stickers on the helmets. Thanks and keep up the glorious work! Go Bucks

      You did not have team awards back then like you do now. Plus, it took an outstanding play, and I mean outstanding, to earn one.

      Woody started the helmet stickers in 1968.

    I went to school with Josh Jackson in the good old Hocking hills. He was a hell of a kicker. I wonder what he is doing these days. I'll never forget the record setting kick vs Zanesville even though we lost 14-13. Go Chieftains!

    HUGE win for OSU, no doubt. But was this Gary Moeller's last game at Michigan? Pretty sure it was.

    I was 12 when this game happened, first Ohio State win I ever saw over TTUN. Love how George and Galloway have their uniforms tucked in their pads, won't see that now a days.

      Even the national titles, the Tressel years, and the Meyer years have not totally eliminated the pain of those losses. Those teams were arguably the most talented in Ohio State history, but couldn’t close the deal.

    • @t6v5c2
      @t6v5c2 6 лет назад

      Justin Penn true, but Michigan was favored in ‘97. ‘95 and ‘96 were two of the most talented teams ever, but still lost. Our D in ‘97 was beast, though, and they played their guts out that day in Ann Arbor.

      @@t6v5c2 they should have won that game. They totally out played Michigan. But hey, as much as I hate to say it. Michigan found a way to win, it's what national champions do.

    When Lane Kiffen left Tennessee for USC I thought what a great coach Cooper would have been for Tennessee if he was younger. Cooper was from Tennessee and the people in Columbus never gave him a fair chance because he was an "outsider" and not a Woody deciple.
