    Thanks, I am trying to get there, but I cannot get my foam to the right frothiness consistently. I watched the other 6 week series, but I think it would be useful to provide more frothing tips. Looking forward to next week!

    So, I tried week 1 (and failed) I can get the brown surface but nothing other than a blob at the end on top... 2 questions.. does the type of milk make or break it? and I have double wall glass coffee cups (classica brand) does that make the difference? I would love to do a latte art course in Adelaide, but can't find one anywhere.. I've had my breville Oracle for 6 months now and it's frustrating I can't get this right when you make it look so easy.. . :-(

      Hey Kirsty!
      Full cream milk certainly helps. It sounds like potentially your milk consistency is a bit separated (like you have froth on top, and hot milk underneath, instead of a nice even consistency throughout).
      If this is the case.. try to give the jug a good swirl before you start pouring to make sure the liquid has a nice even consistency, then start you pouring.

    i’m a new barista and have gotten really good at consistently even espresso pulls and frothed milk with no bubbles (plus the swirl so make the milk better or whatever it’s called haha). i’ve been trying to get better at my latte art but no one has ever explained it super well? when making all of these designs, do you just hold it? or do you need to move your hand slightly back and forth? thanks!

      Heya! Enjoy your journey as a new barista. For a heart you don't really need to move your hand at all. If you're having trouble getting the pattern to appear, it's probably because the tip of your jug isn't close enough to the crema when you start doing your latte art. Good luck, you'll get there if you keep practicing :)

    Great video! I'm having a really hard time with the pull through. I've tried different heights and speeds but just get the tiniest indent for the heart. Any ideas? Thank you!

    i love how every one who does latte art look so easy , i find this a really big challenge to even get the simplest things with latte art right like the crema and lovely silky milk, my hearts are small and i can not seem to get them looking anything like these, is it my milk that could be the problem or the crema or even maybe the way I'm doing it , lost to get it right , any help appreciated ty.

      If your patterns are really small it sounds like you're not getting your jug tip close enough to the crema, and as a result the white is only appearing right at the end

    Is there any problem with using oat milk for latte art?

    • @brewbudsclub
      @brewbudsclub  2 года назад +1

      Oat milk is probably one of the best alternate milks to make latte art with. Just make sure that the coffee you're using isn't roasted too lightly (acidity in coffee doesn't work well with the protein in some alt milks), and also make sure you are using an Oat Milk that is specifically designed for coffee. Minor Figures/Oatly are good examples.

      @@brewbudsclub Thank you for the info. I'm current getting a bean from Guatamala with a medium roast. Maybe I should get a dark roast?
