one thing I hate about screwdriver reset pulls is someone that has it can easly open the pull station whereas keyed ones they have to buy a special key for it
At my school its K-8 and im a teachers aid for a kindergarten teacher and during my TA time is just before their specials. So I walked behind the line and I barely see out of my eye a pull station and note this was beginning of the year, this kid looked at the pull station, and PULLED IT. next thing we all know we are out the door.. the adventures never end
Fire alarm engineer here from the UK I may have missed it if you explained it but I'm amazed at your tester how does that test smoke and heat ours over here are pretty bulky and have to have capsules in them what is yours??
I believe in this video we use the magnet which some locations won't allow as a means of testing some will if we can't use the magnet we use the homemade heat lamp which is just a recessed light can with a halogen lightbulb in it as the solo heat detector tester likes to pop the older ones

@@nics-systems-electric I won't lie though your pull stations are ugly! Ha . we call them manual call points here yours are so much bigger and over complicated than ours . We just break glass . And push a test key to test .
At 3:11 I don’t think that was a good idea to use a upright sprinkler head facing down, the reflector will just make the water direct to the ceiling, but i might be wrong
Looks to me like that whole run down that side of the room got rotated 180° however it makes no difference as they are not connected the municipality they are in now does not require sprinklers in temporary structures so they did not need to be reconnected however the old municipality the one I live in does require them in temporary buildings Which is where this portable came from
But I agree, maybe low frequency sounders would be a bit better than horns in classrooms, especially for common fire drills: you want a sound that is loud enough that you know it’s a fire alarm, but not so harsh that it causes a panic attack, which they used to cause for me. I don’t actually think there’s a rule against that.
You should be introducing an artificial smoke into the chamber.. magnet testing initiating devices is only a test on the circuitry and not an acceptable method of function testing. Your company can now be held liable in the event of a disaster. Especially with the video proof posted for the world to see.
I do agree that smoke is a better test however it's not my decision at the end of the day I don't get a say on how things are done this seems to be how most of the companies out here do it

This means that artificial smoke needs to be used to make sure the smoke detectors are working properly, the use of a magnet to test a smoke detector is not an acceptable functional test because it only tests the circuitry and does not ensure that smoke entering the chamber will trigger a response. If you have the testing completed by a contractor you should work with them to ensure that their annual functional test includes the introduction of smoke and not a magnet."
When did the PlayStation the second one is it that is from mice to the pool and one still have your store the store you push things right now on how to say fire alarms like my store is still the same sound like mine for later so yeah

To be honest the screwdriver ones are more secure they are way more of a pain to open then it is to just get a lock pick

Keys for pull stations and other fire alarm equipment can be easily bought on eBay

@NIC'S - SYSTEMS & ELECTRIC those stoppers for the pull stations i noticed did not make any noise so i wonder if their alarms are broken
They make STI stoppers without the horns those are the most common. stoppers with alarms are only where there are problems with malicious activations

Every school in my district has horn strobes in the classrooms. Apparently, they are required to do that now.
