I have an idea for connecting the fire alarm systems: When you’re sleeping at night you might not hear the fire alarm system of the garage or the supervisory in the house. It probably would be smart to install one alarm in the middle of the house that is directly connected to the garage system.
I have thought about it however it would need to be something quiet or it would defeat the purpose of having the two connected together for supervisory it would need to be something that can easily be disabled unfortunately I do not have access to verifier tools to program disable points
@@nics-systems-electricYou can put one on low volume directly in your bedroom. For the turning on/off you could make it an extra zone, so that you can turn it off on via the garage panel easily
Nick when i saw this video for some reason i immediately started testing our fire alarm system we have inside our house only to find out that one of our smoke detectors were completely in operative and needed to be replaced and if a fire had broken out before the time we would have not known about it and our house could have possibly burnt down because of it
What is the name for the covers you have for the light switches to prevent them from being flipped cause I would like some of them cause the outlet that my ps4 is powered off is off a light switch so I don't want that shut off and for my exterior light
I don’t know if this system is available in Canada, but at my work we have a security system that uses Bluetooth or the NFC chip on a smartphone to unlock the doors, and if the system is armed it will automatically disable it. I don’t know what it’s called or what its brand is but if you wanted to possibly to a video on that it’s an idea
These are always fun videos, but they're even better with more people! :) Also, nice MPS there by the panel! Is it there for testing or something, or did you just feel like putting one up?
For the next test why not activate the fire alarm during a simulated power failure? If you want to find potential problems you should give it as many chances for failure as possible.
I did run the system on battery back up at one point in the annual test but if that's something you'd like to see I can try and incorporate that if I remember
It was a pleasure visiting. You’re very smart and you’re gonna go far in this industry
Hello
Thank you for having us to was a pleasure. You will make it far in the industry
I always look forward to these monthly tests. Always very in depth and I always learn something from them! Thanks, Nic. Keep them coming!
Same for me
Seems like y'all had fun, great to see like-minded people hangout, love the vid Nic
Finally, the RUclips algorithm gave me something that I will watch

Good to have some friends and mentors in the industry

Nice nic!
Awesome tests! I like your two systems.
Hopefully this will be a very high view count vid. Deserves it. This vid is unique compared to the others in this series (due to the collab).

There’s several that offer this, Bosch, Brivo, DMP
a cool idea (though very expensive, but that doesnt seem to stop you) is to do a DIY solar panel installation on your garage.
Definitely very expensive not something I'm interested in spending my money on when it won't have any return savings for me
@@nics-systems-electric yeah, i figured. do you have a video about the microphone announcement system shown in some of your videos?
That’s a cool fire alarm test
Absolutely epic collab, this video was amazing
That is a nice looking garage
I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!
Best collab ever
3:43 do you have a video on installing that pull station
You have a neat system! Do you know if you will install the sprinkler system in your house! I know you have one in your garage already!
Thanks. Would not in the house would be extremely expensive and destructive
I love the videos
These are always fun videos, but they're even better with more people! :)

Nice Monty Fire Alarm Testing
Nice!
Do you always do monthly testing when you have the house to yourself? I say it's more efficent that way.
Yes
Hey nic I can send you some links if your interested I got Roblox games that have alarms like these 😊

Are you going to do the emergency light system in the house?
