Transparency and well payed out plans are the reasons yang has my vote. He’s the only candidate that sticks to the topic and solve problems facing American families. It’s refreshing not having to deal with talking points, false promises from politicians and identity politics. He’s got a good track record of creating thousands of jobs in the midwest and the south. Research your candidates , don’t vote on emotions, vote for real changes that matter

VAT (Value Added Tax) is a CONSUMPTION TAX paid by the CONSUMER not the business.
Yang will be taxing consumers to provide consumers with his freedom dividend.
Yang will be Yangking money out of the hands of the rich and middle class and giving it to the poor who will spend it in stores.
This will just increase profits for businesses and further encourage them to automate.
Lets just call it what it is.
    A YAT.
    A Yang Added Tax.

Furrowed Brow stop making up lies . I see you in every single Andrew yang video making up lies. What is your agenda ? Why don’t you point to people why yang is proposing VAT (at half the level as European VAT)over income tax? He’s not saying people will be taxed more. He’s saying income tax is how companies are registering offshore to avoid paying taxes. So why do big companies make huge profit but the taxes don’t come back to Americans? Why do you think coco cola is in Bermuda or tech companies in Ireland ? The last time I know, those are American companies. Do you think our current tax system will give them incentives to stay in our country? VAT will make it harder for them to avoid taxes and freedom dividend will be funded by VAT collected from corporations at transaction level. It’s been proven, Europeans use it... so Stop making up lies. You clearly have an agenda. If you don’t support his views that’s fine, but I see you in every video making up lies.

VAT can absolutely apply to businesses, since businesses need to purchase supplies and equipment to operate.
Here is an example guide for UK startups: startups.co.uk/what-is-vat-and-how-does-it-affect-my-small-business/
The key here is to get some tax at the point of consumption, which mega conglomerates like Amazon and Google cannot simply use tax loopholes or tax credits to continue to pay close to zero on federal corporate taxes.

worlwide studies have shown pass through of VAT is passed to the customer. the rest absorbed by the business. its fine

Iowans are not as helpless as Yang and the Democrats would have them believe.
Yang tells the citizens of Iowa that the reason why the shops on their main street are closing is because of the big bad Amazon.
    They actually agree with him.
Dont any of them realize that they are the reason for the shops going out of business?
They placed the orders with Amazon from the comfort of their own homes rather than drive down town and spend their money in the local economy.
They are the main reason that the shops closed and now their children have no place to work over the summer.
There is no one to blame but the citizens of Iowa.
Stop shopping on Amazon or at Walmart and eventually the local shops will return and with them the jobs and the economic prosperity of the community.
Or. Iowans can just embrace their victimhood and let the government take care of them.
    Demoncrats do love victims.

    Oil is a natural resource.
    Nature made it.
Technology is a product of human labor.
    Not the same thing.
Yang is offering the American people a bribe.
Essentially "vote for me and I will pay you $1000.00 a month".
Yang. You have no claim to the fruits of anothers labor. Neither do those who would vote for you.
Robbing Peter to pay Paul is immoral.

That is a ridiculous argument. Someone has extract and refine oil. It isn't just Amazon. It is Google, Facebook, Uber and other big tech companies that make billions of money selling our data and user profiles to companies. We should be paid a dividend for the free labor and data we provide.

There is something wrong with you if you don’t want 1000 dollars to help pay living expenses. If you want to call it bribery or whatever you want that’s fine. Many Americans need the extra money for expenses. Corporations are taking jobs offshore, operating offshore to avoid taxes, automating retail, service industry and manufacturing. Yet you think it’s bribery ?

    • @Lou_Mansfield
      @Lou_Mansfield 5 лет назад

It is far from a bribe. Yang has stated that the Freedom Dividend belongs to American citizens much the same way shareholders of a corporation can vote to have dividends from stock ownership.
Universal Basic Income is not a new idea, but originated centuries ago. It even passed the US House of Representatives decades ago. It is currently being done in varying degrees for the residents of Stockton, California and the whole state of Alaska.
