It looks like the shoe I'm looking for. My current Saucony Axon 3 only held 320 miles before pulling something in my calf. It's not bad considering I only paid £60 for those. But looking for more mile shoe with decent cushioning to hold that 104kg on the road.
After 260 miles of a 195 lb under pronating heel striker, I think they are holding up well. They are starting to wear thin on the outer heel striker surface, but I expect 350 miles out of them. Not bad for a heavier runner.
I'm a forefoot striker and it started wearing close to the midsole in that spot you showed after the first 100 miles. I've taken my pair a little past 200miles now and they still feel fine although definitely lost a bit of that pop vs a brand new pair. I'm thinking I'll take it to 300-400miles if I'm lucky and switch to the brand new pair I have in reserve although a V5 may be released by that time.
Thanks for watching! I’m up to 350 miles in one pair and they’re hanging in there. Looks like New Balance doesn’t have as many options for the V4 on their site right now, so hopefully the V5 is coming soon
I have just over 200 miles on mine & have greatly enjoyed them. Very little wear & foam feels good. Hoping to get 400 miles from them until v.5 comes out in August.
Great to hear that these are very durable. Bought superblasts and I love them but they get uncomfortable for every day running because they are firm. Can’t wait until these arrive
Thats pretty good mileage there fella. I got 650 out of both my pairs of 1080v11s , they where still usable but past their best. My ASICS novablast 1's though are still rocking ½ marathons with no problems at 1210 miles , just a little wear on the inside in the heal near the top , you can't feel it , but I suppose the wear has to start somewhere. 👍🏃♂️🏃♂️Ps I also hit me left leg just above the ankle sometimes with my right foot but it's just above the shoe , it leaves a mud/dirt mark on my leg , no problem but I guess we all have running imperfections mate 👍
Yeah, I think they’d be great. I ran 32 miles in them earlier and my feet were very comfortable. They aren’t great on trails however, if that’s part of the course
Would you recommend this as a daily trainer? I've been through so many shoes ....as in ordering and sending them back. I haven't got on with the following; endorphin speed 3, hokas, asics nimbus 25. I'd appreciate your input. I have slight pronation issues.
I use it for a daily trainer because I like the cushioning. If you’re ok with a slightly heavier shoe, and want some comfort it’s a great option. Testing the Nimbus 25 soon as well, but I’ve heard good things.
I'm a heel/mid striker and slight overpronater and I do like the NB FF More shoes for 3-4 miles 3x/week. I like them better than Asics for cushioning, but have never tried Hokas, etc.
I didn’t find a problem, but I also don’t think many shoes are actually that breathable. You’re not going to feel the wind between your toes in these, but I ran in them all summer and they were fine
In my 1st pair after 250 miles they started to soak, you could compare it w a dishwasher foam when it's old, the cushion effect was gone and hit my lower back, I'm a slight forefoot to midfoot striker. Now il put it to rest for 6 month and hope to get a other 60 to 70 miles out of it. For the millage it's a bit to expensive if you pay full price. Now I'm interested if my second pair last same mileage or longer
Yeah, once back pain starts to develop for me, that’s a good sign to retire a shoe. I got slightly more out of my pair, but everyone has different experiences
I need a premium comfortable shoe for weekly 4days walking for going to college and casual wear etc which may last for 2-4years. I am getting this at 7200₹(90 dollars), ultraboost 23 for 11000₹(140 dollars), floatride energy symmetros 2(7500₹/95dollars), previously i had floatride energy 3, which i felt awesome and even when i tried ultraboost it felt nice. Kindly advise me( new balance is nt available in india in stores, only through flipkart)
For walking, I would prefer the Ultraboost. I have a pair, and while I would never run in them, they are my favorite walking shoes. I know that's a little more expensive than the others, but I find them to be the most comfortable.
@@FreshBrewRunClub You don’t feel any pressure agains on your upper front ankle even when you tighten up your shoe laces? Now that i have mentioned it. You will probably notice it. Go on and see.
most people expect to change their running shoes after around 300-500 miles so I presume your weekly mileage is well under 20? If so, then yes, not that good.
Can we stop normalizing 200-300 miles of life for shoes that cost 200+$? 200 miles is literally 2-3 months of running. You want me to buy FOUR pair of shoes per year just to run? What is this?
I ended up running 376 miles in these shoes, which can be found in a few places for less than $100 as of now. If I could get more mileage out of them, I would, but they get too worn down and the risk of injury increases. I wouldn’t recommend spending $200 on a daily trainer either. There’s lots of great deals out there to make the cost a little easier to stomach. I tried golf a few years ago, now THAT is an expensive sport.
Similar experience. Did about 400 miles as a heel striker at 230 lbs under. Fantastic shoe.
I'm on my fourth pair now!

Great to hear. Very durable shoe!
This kind of review I want to hear. Well said sir. Now Im decided what to purchase for a running shoe. Thank you.

Yep, these are a great shoe!
100% agree. My forefoot is wearing after only 100 miles. Something to watch as I get up there in miles.
Definitely. I haven’t noticed it impact my running, but it’s the only part of the show that’s really started to break down for me

These running shoes lasted only 6 months until the upper tissue teared close to the front sole. Don't advise it.

These were/are $150 and can easily be found for much less online. The v5s are $155.
