Great interview! IREN had an awesome earnings report this week, and they're in an excellent position to thrive post-halving and become one of the very top mining companies.

Wow! Up to this point, I haven't understood much about the economics of mining, and this was really helpful in describing the broad considerations.
Love to see people figuring out how to get an edge in a cutthroat business.

It bothers me that all he seemed to talk about was capital raise and not actually viable business models, just the perception of a viable business model using their access to power to pitch things.

This morning's news talked about Wyoming coal leases not being renewed in the United States.... Wondering what would be the effect to flare gas into Bitcoin using the existing coal fields instead of digging more coal this would be a better use of efficiency in my view

More seriously, a lot of people aren’t convinced about their Zero Bitcoin Balance sheet strategy. I’d be happy if they just hodl’d 10% of their mined BTC.
What for? Who are they benefitting? Investors who could use that same money and invest in btc themselves?
Because they are worried about pitches and fundraising not business models or BTC. That is just the current thing people are willing to fund. Listen to everything he says, it all is from angles of how to get people to give them money, not how they will make money as a business. Their business is raising money leveraging their access to power.

There is usually about 63 to 6 months lag for the market to react to the supply shock and the price impact is actually fundamental. So, we should expect something similar as observed.

Considering Iren assists in WBD's ability to finance and create connections for the content that we love is amazing. To then go and dismiss them when they get an opportunity to tell us their progress is a spit in the face to Pete and Danny.
