I don't really care to spend my time trying to teach people about the philosophy of bitcoin. Everyone buys bitcoin at the price they Deserve. Whether you buy it because number go up or because it's the first time money has ever been separated from government, It doesn't matter.
Jack’s response to Marc on the ETFs was a non-answer imo. What is a good reasoning for Wall St not to engage in price manipulation? Can’t just rest laurels on “bitcoin changes people”. If they can do it they will do it, so the answer should be an explanation of how it’s not possible… because it’s visible on the blockchain if they tried? Are they required to declare all addresses publicly? Even if they are, what’s to say they wouldn’t be using unknown addresses? Why is it theoretically not possible for various institutions to get together for synchronised selling?

it's so interesting to see the difference between the understanding of bitcoin (and everything areound it) from a guy from germany towards the other speakers.. i can't really describe what i feel or mean, but marc friedrich and roman reher (both from germany) see the think IMO in a (sometimes) complete other direction sometimes more negative sometimes positive like from the others.. but everything more detailed. Maybe someone here can understand what i try to say, because it's even hard for me in my own mother language to describe it. Thank guys for reading and HODL
I do know what you're talking about and people think I'm crazy when I tell them(like you just did). It's definitely something that can't be explained! Totally different vibe.
I attribute this in broad strokes to the last 100 years of geopolitics. Germany's zeitgeist is vastly different to our North American "land of the free" or at least "frontier" mentality.
It's not just a German or EU phenomenon. My first meeting with an Israeli business rep decades ago was unnerving but subsequently determined to be due to cultural rather than individual traits. Now I understand more about Zionism.
Point is, humanity adapts. And like the Katana sword, the sharpest edges emerge from deformative pounding and blistering heat. Will the ultimate social effects of Bitcoin remove the incentives for such 'abuse', and if so to what effect? Will humanity lose it's edge?
Chaos and anarchy is fuel for Bitcoin,without the threat of physical violence for all humanity. we need the chaos right now,embrace the Anarchism but please understand them both,and please reject all physical violence and armed warfare

I think we do need to do a better job of protecting devs against government oppression. Free Speech needs to be pervasive and enshrined.
