Sierra Sterling glad I could help! Lmk if you have any questions
Hlo sierra.where are you starting your production house? I hv started it in india. M stuck though
How has your journey been thus far Sierra?
Hey man this is probably my first comment ever on RUclips. I want to say this was legit the most honest and helpful video I’ve watched. I appreciate it.
Glad it helped! If you got any questions lmk
This is so honest, insightful and helpful, I’m looking to start my own business and the business portion is something that is integral but a lot of ppl don’t delve deep into as you have so well! Thank you so much, I’ve subscribed and can’t wait to go through all your content 😊
Finally, ALL the information I needed!! Thank you!! I'm excited to follow your journey further, It's mad inspirational!!
Thanks, really appreciate that!
Currently doing photography and videography. One thing that I just learned is reaching out to business and people to film their product or music video
It's all a numbers game. the more people you reachout to the more leads you will have.
Thank you for the insights🙏🏾 really encouraging. I’m struggling to keep going feeling discouraged as the money is running low but I know this is what I want to do and this helps me to hear someone else’s journey in making it all work . Thank you again🙏🏾
This is such an extremely valuable video! Literally everything you shared hit home for me. I appreciate your authenticity! Thank you!
Great video and tips! Thanks man.
Coming across this video a year later has been the best timing. I'm in the process of doing exactly this kind of work and after hearing how you started just reinforced my thought process in starting. After a lot of time on RUclips, this video by far has been the most valuable and I thank you for that.
You're welcome, happy to hear this!
Thank you for this great information. I wish you continued success!
Solid, wholesome information. Really appreciate the transparency, it show your genuine. Great video.
I appreciate that! Just trying to help anyone looking to grow in this industry.
So helpful, taking notes. Thank you!
Just had to say that I loved the level-headed, honest approach you took in making this video. Sometimes RUclips videos in this genre are so loud and flashy that I get a headache and come away with little information. This was the opposite, and I appreciate it very much. I'm considering the possibility of starting a video production company myself, and this was full of useful, relatable info. Thank you.
That warms my heart! Thank you and yea I felt the same way, I rather focus on bringing value than to make the video look cool
Wow man this is the real insight and experience, Thank you for shedding light on the path brother!
For sure, happy to help!
I remember while you were getting started man, super glad to have met you when I did. Psyched to see these amazing videos you're putting out now man!
Thanks bro! Glad we got to connect as well, it's been quite the journey!
Excellent Video! Apologies for chiming in, I would love your thoughts. Have you ever tried - Piyason Videographic Ventures (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? It is a great exclusive guide for creating your own viral video minus the hard work. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my friend after many years got amazing success with it.
Thanks for dropping that knowledge man. keep doing your thang
Will do! Thanks for watching.
Rodrigo great video and advise I will follow this looking forward into my journey in production
Looking forward to hearing about your journey!

Free game!! That was amazing and literally just inspired me to take this seriously. Easy Sub
Bro this content adds an extreme ammount of value. Honestly, thank you a lot.
Happy to hear that! What part did you find most valuable?
@@RodrigoTasca Sounds silly but I've worked for free, just for free. You added the referral thing + review. I find that very important.
You also gave me a new perspective about the client lifetime. Now I'll look for businesses that have this (You already gave some examples of businesses with that).
Other little but not less important things are; Quickbooks, a little bit of psychology to close deals and a great detail that is to give to the lead the direct link of the portfolio section in the webpage. I already know the benefits that you can take from working for free (Improving skills, Networking), but for sure I'll appreciate more now.
You remark a lot the importance of networking and getting clients of it but, do you have a video about getting cold door clients? (I hope it's said like that in english).
Btw I'm the same guy, I commented before with my secondary account.
Hey man, really appreciate this info! I'm about a year in, and this answered a lot of questions. It also sparked a lot of ideas. 🙏🏼 Thanks for taking the time. Good luck with your business. -DMart
Great to hear! If you have any questions lmk would love to help
thank you for the usefull info bro tuned in from nz .
Damn that's awesome!
Very useful information bro! Thanks for sharing details and explaining your reasons clearly.
My pleasure, what part of the video stoodout to you the most?
Yes, this is one of the better helpful vids on this topic that I’ve landed on. Well appreciated
Glad it was helpful!
This is gold. That's all.
Yo! Thanks for the tips man!!
Any time!
You're one of two people here on RUclips that give filmmakers real advice to grow and make video production a living. A lot of the bigger filmmakers on RUclips never talk about the business side. PLEASE keep it up! Just found your channel and I'm subscribed!
Bro! Thank you, this comment means a lot to me. Glad I could help, just followed you back on IG. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help or if you ever want to get on a Zoom call.
Rodrigo Tasca Really?! Thank you so much. I would love to!
Very informative video! Thanks bro!
Any time!
Good info brother...that's similar to how I started. I'm in Sint Maarten in the Caribbean. I actually saw you through Futur...so just subscribed. Let me know if you're ever in the Caribbean

Thank you so much for this video content. You were so real and down to earth it felt like I was having a conversation with you lol. I'm currently working on starting a business and find my niche in this area.
You are so welcome! Let me know if you have any questions or want to get on a zoom call.
@@RodrigoTasca I would be more than happy to get on a zoom call!
cool shoot me an e-mail at rodrigo@tascastudios.com and I'll set it up.
Thanks man! Good stuff.
You bet!
Really helpfull and very clear, just what i was looking for.
That's great to hear, what was the thing that stood out the most?
@@RodrigoTasca For me it was how to start building a portfolio and where to look for consistent clients. But tbh the whole video was insightful, because its so personal its easy to identify with it.
very quality video! underrated
Warms my heart, really appreciate that! Lmk if there are any topics you would like me to cover.
Amazing story brother, appreciate the insight
Thanks for listening, I appreciate your time!
Wow. This is litterally my story right there! And exactly my plan for the next month. Thank you for sharing that
Happy to help! Good luck on your journey
@@RodrigoTasca I'm currently about to shoot my first watch store promo. Is there any tips you can recommend? I've been browsing your channel but maybe I missed something. Thank you!
This was a great video. Definitely Subbed. What a bunch to think about
Thanks for the sub! What's the first think that comes to mind?
@@RodrigoTasca np man! Very inspiring and great story on the come up. Umm a set of things actually...working for free, keeping down cost. & what I found cool was that you said even after you got that (dentist job I think?) for $1800, you still decided to do free stuff after n keep growing. It can be hard to apply some of these points where I live, but I’m on that endeavour ✊🏽
SO INSPIRING!!!
Thank you, for making it happen!
Wow I didn't wanna miss one second of your words, thank you for this awesome video that packed with genuine advice.
You're so welcome! what was your favorite part?
@@RodrigoTasca About the way you develop clients and the places you find your clients and that you share your thoughts with us. Thank you.*⸜( •ᴗ• )⸝*
Gold. Thank you.
You're welcome!
First things first, i saw you on Chris Do's video about the sales pitch with Mo! And then i saw you comment on the BWNC FB group and was like this dude looks so familiar lol.
This video is a golden nugget of knowledge and experience. I'm currently in the same boat but the most i've made was $2000+ last year in 6 months... I'm looking to quit my new 9-5 job and start charging more cause i'm tired of these low paying clients, i just want to make videos and do what i love man! Thanks for making this video!
Yo! Small world, the fact that you follow the @thefutur means you're already heading in the right direction! Let me know if there's anything I can help you with! Shoot me a DM on IG: drigo_who
dude, in the same boat here. you wanna connect over insta in a group chat with other videographers to share ideas, tips etc?
very helpful, thank you!
Happy to hep, lmk if you have any other questions!
That was very helpful and informative! I now know where to aim my business
Glad it was helpful! I just started targeting construction companies and garage door installers.
Thanks for the video. Ever forward 🖖🏿✊🏿
No doubt!
Dope!!!
thanks Sensei🤘🏻
Anytime young Jedi!
that was fucking dope! gems after gems UNCUT
Best video on the net!
Glad you enjoyed it
Amazing!!
Thank you!
A ton a value in this video.
Thank you!
This guy is the real deal. Thanks for sharing!
I appreciate that and my pleasure!
@@RodrigoTasca I wanted to ask you brother, do you recommend using your name for a production company (Rodrigo Tasca Studios) or do businesses see that as unprofessional? I remember you saying that no one wanted to listened to you until your business name changed to Tasca Studios.
@@tonycerv Great questions, if it was me I would not use my own name (First or Last) in the company name if I had to do it again. This allows your company to seem bigger along if you ever start subcontract people for shoots or sell your business your name is not attached to it.
Thanks a lot for sharing your experiences bro!!! I had no idea how to start and this really helped me. 💯💪🏽
That's awesome to hear, glad it helped you out. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Rodrigo Tasca I appreciate that. So I’m just starting out with no experience at all. What is a good affordable camera to start out using???
It's cliché but start with what you got, see if you have a friend that shoots ask to go out with them and borrow their camera. Or save up some money and rent one out. Honestly you can get some pretty decent cameras know days. Also depend on the type of work you plan on doing. When I upgraded from Nikon to Sony I went with the A7III because I wanted to flexibly to do photos as well. You don't need an a7III to start, just go with what you got.
Ok that’s real!!! Awesome thanks a lot!!
that's amazing congrats
Thank you!
Great video thank you for that I need that
Glad I could help
Thank you, I'm from Colombia, it's difficult but thanks for the information..
You’re welcome! Good luck, you got this
Great help!
Happy to hear that!
Gracias mi hermano! See you soon
Thanks man!
This is golden content!
I feel the same way!
This is great information. It puts a lot of things in perspective. Thank you. Just curious, what part of Nicaragua did you visit or did the documentary?
We were based in Managua but went all around that area.
Excellent content mate
Much appreciated, what was your favorite part?
@@RodrigoTasca the local networking really helped me get an idea on how to gather clients. Definitely earned my sub. I'll be checking out your other vids. Thanks!
Exactly what I was looking for. I am going to rent a camera for assignments at first.. But eventually if Ihave enough I'm going to buy my own gear
Best of luck!
This is awesome! A no-nonsense video that gets to the point!
Thank you for providing your experience as a resource. This will help a lot for me and my friends.
I had one question is you don’t mind me asking. For the videos you make, do you just shoot / edit the video and send over the file to the clients? Like they’re simply paying for the video itself correct?
I’m wondering, for local businesses that may not have a strong social media presence, how should we approach them? Do we show them where and how to post? Or just provide the video and that’s it?
Let me know if you have any insight about that!
Bro such a good question! Here's the thing every business is going to be a little different some will just want the video and other will pay extra for you to do everything. For the most part right now I'm just shooting and editing and giving them the videos. Other's I'll upload and optimize the videos for them.
When approaching new business I would look to see the companies that are spending money on marketing or you see that they care about "branding" from there just make a connection and introduce yourself. "Hey I see that you're a new business and you don't know me I'm blt productions and if you guys ever have questions video or ever want to shoot one l would love to help"
Really insightful video. Gary Vee's book is how I found about you. Keep being a great person 🙂
Thanks brotha! You do the same :-)
Rodrigo, id really like to thank you for this video and congratulate you on your achievements, looks like you've come a long way. I just have some questions in how you sell these videos to your clients. What do you tell them you're making the video for? Is it for their social media page? What are they actually doing with these videos? I have a passion for filmmaking and can make quality videos/ads, but I'm struggling to find ways I can sell these videos to clients (aka how this video will benefit the business). Thankyou so much, you earned another subscriber and i'm about to check out a bunch more videos on your channel!
Yo Luke shoot me an email to rodrigo@tascastudios.com let's get on a call happy to answer all your questions! And thanks for checking out my channel really appreciate it
Great Video! can you talk more about how you can marketing your portfolio? What do companies want when you market your business?
Sure thing, great suggestion!
Thank You
You're welcome
Soo good
