Tony is a true gem. I love how he isn’t trying to be anything but himself. It’s awesome when he seems to forget he’s working and just gets caught up in watching football.
Romo annoyed me at first, but he’s grown on me. He’s very imperfect, yet comfortable with himself.

It didn't work out but damn I tell ya, he's a refreshing character in that line of business and despite his play on the field, he definitely knows his shit sitting up in the booth and sometimes know exactly what is about to happen.

i love having him as an announcer, because when he describes the plays, you're seeing it from the QB perspective. he knows what's going to happen before it happens, because he's played so much, and he'll tell you what's going to happen on the play based on how the teams line up. it really has been interesting to have this perspective on the game now for a few years.
Romo is great, but I miss Madden's rants and drawing all over the screen

I was a fan of Romo as a player but his calling was to be a commentator.
See, I was the opposite. Since he was a player for the Cowgirls I made fun of him relentlessly. Now he's actually making me like him and feel bad for him having to go without an O-line most of his career. Then he has a game calling a Chiefs game and I'm like "Okay Tony, cool it. Mahomes is great but he isn't Thanos with the gauntlet." 🤣

I couldn’t agree more. I will watch literally any game, even between crap teams, if Romo is a commentator. He brings deep football knowledge and great analysis, but also captures all the drama/emotional highs and lows of the game so well. I definitely have a “commentator crush” on him. 😉

They sussed it out perfectly. That is the old soccer trip-kick from the playground in grade school. Any kid who played pick-up soccer learned that dirty move. When you are chasing someone you kick his foot across his other leg, just like Watt did to Rodgers. Textbook move. They are right, his girlfriend probably taught it to him.
I always found on defense trapping the ball and sending them flying was self satisfying ....

My special lady friend saw a special about him as a commentator in which he talked about how he worked hard on finding his style. He and nantz spent a lot of time working together to find his voice. They watched old games and practiced different kind of styles until he found his which was just him doing him instead trying to sound a certain kind if way. He gave a lot of praise to jim nantz and the CBS crew. He really is a stand up guy. He had everyone throwing record money his way and stayed loyal.
And I'm delco born and raised. Man we haited him when he was on dallas but I'd rather listen to him than pretty much anyone else

Yeah. The dude that's being held up by his neck in a chokehold diagonally is totally not just trying to stay upright. I'm not a fan (or rival) for either team so I'm looking at this from a neutral view. I had to slow it to half speed to even see the "trip". That was about as incidental as it gets, especially when you realize Watt is literally being choked and the main thing keeping him up was the line man's grip on his neck. Honestly, I think he was just trying to stay upright first and foremost to keep pressure off his neck.
