"They said yes, get your big butt outta here. He does. There's nothing real in the world anymore." is probably my favorite announcer moment in all of sports.
Bill King was the king of Oakland sports. He had so many classic calls. This was among his best. The 'Old Man Willie' call from SB XI is probably the best known call.
The Holy Roller call gives me chills every time I hear it. The level of personality and emotion that announcer can bring out and the vibrant language he uses just brings the whole thing to another level.
The first one is my favorite as well! 'He broke his ankles'...I love the enthusiasm Harlan shows in this game. They really know how to pick NFL play-by-play announcers...its the one job where the cream really rose to the top. Good job NFL announcers...you make me proud.
I am so glad the Freeman (HE DID WHAT?) catch made it in. The first thing I thought of when I read this headline. I remember that was a Monday Night game. Phenomenal concentration and a great receiver.
He saw the moment and took it. It brought way more entertainment in a game that was already a one-sided match by that point. It's also funny when he saying "They surrounded this man like he is ..." and stopped because he realizes he probably couldn't get away with saying what I think he wanted to say. (Remember's is not open-mic night and can't make any comments that could sound offensive or possibly racist.) What's even sadder, the drunk fan that ran on the field probably had more rushing yards than the Rams did that game.
Not seeing the entire thing but just seeing the pissed off face on the coach and then seeing the little flash of people running by at 5:20 was just comedy gold
Bro this video is an absolute gem, whoever disliked it must literally be that one totally drunk guy that barely made it to the vid and couldn't even hit the thumbs up properly
I really do love that Larry Allen call, rarely do you see offensive lineman in the limelight and the fact that the announcer was so amazed at his hustle and speed for a 320 pounder made me happy. Larry Allen was an ATHLETE!
I always find it funny that the cameras are showing the saints fans cheering but the announcer crew don't care they're just marveling at Larry Allen's save
To anybody who isn’t a Vikings fan, these 4 plays perfectly sun up the history of the franchise-good team, has a lead late, and somehow finds a way to choke it away year after year
As a saints fan, I don't know the refs have against us. Year after year, bad calls. Obviously not all refs fault, we have our stupid moments but I believe we have paid enough for bountygate
As a Bucs fan, we have a slightly different problem. We usually suck. Every 20 years or so, things go our way and we win a title in dominant fashion, then our luck sours and we end up sucking again for 20 years. For example, we just won a title and no we have the injury bug, Brady is getting divorced and is a lock to retire this year and our most recent draft class is doing nothing so far.
I’m a Steelers fan. Antonio Brown has some serious issues that I hope he gets resolved. That said, I think it’s for the best that he’s out of Pittsburgh. Even with all the controversy, accidentally jump kicking the Browns punter in the face is an iconic moment.
I know I'm going to get some heat for this.... But Gus Johnson has such an annoying voice, in my opinion. However, even I can't deny that that was one of the best announced plays. Great emotion!! Broncos fans were already going crazy but Gus brought that play to a classic level and certainly deserved to be in this highlight reel.
Harlan used to call the Chiefs games for years. He's one of the best. What's cool about him is that he can be the "play by play" guy or the "color analyst" at the same time. His enthusiasm is great. I'd love to see him and Tony Romo call a game sometime
@@maitrik_6738 I'm a Vikings fan (but live in Illinois). Paul Allen, the Vikings Radio announcer is the biggest, die-hard fan for the Vikings. This video link below is when Paul Allen called the Minneapolis Miracle on the walk-off TD against the Saints: ruclips.net/video/d4a9KApRUks/видео.html Now, THIS is how I expect home team announcers to act when their team scores and wins the game. That's why you hear the pain when he goes "Nooooooo" because he's the diehard fan that has a job he loves. Just like how at 9:13 when Blair Walsh was Blair Walsh and pulled it, I was in complete disbelief when that happened. Then again at 13:02 with Favre's walk-off TD when Paul Allen called this one. While the clip doesn't show it, the refs did indeed review this throw and the call was confirmed as a TD.

"look out refrigerator you gotta be worried now" is one of the funniest things I've ever heard
The old school radio guys were the best. He was one of my favorites along with Myron Cope who did Steeler games.
“ThE aLltImE lEaDiNg TaCkLeR fOr ThE cHiEfS” 🤣🤣🤣
the “night in the clink” line is my all time favorite announcer moment
“WATCH OUT HE’S GOT GETTIN AWAY FROM THE COPS SPEED” 🤣
I miss Gus Johnson. That was the end of his NFL commentating career even though it was a hilarious call.
@@danlorett2184 lol he said it a lot, not just that one time. I don't think he got cancelled, bud.
@@Kyledishgambin0 He did get his NFL contract cancelled. He still commentates college games tho.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Madden 12 baby
The Holy Roller call gives me chills every time I hear it. The level of personality and emotion that announcer can bring out and the vibrant language he uses just brings the whole thing to another level.
“Madden’s on the field! He wants to know if it’s real!
There’s nothing real in the world anymore!!
This one will be relived…forever!!”
None better.
7:27 has me ROLLIN. I never knew he said that lol
The first one is my favorite as well! 'He broke his ankles'...I love the enthusiasm Harlan shows in this game. They really know how to pick NFL play-by-play announcers...its the one job where the cream really rose to the top. Good job NFL announcers...you make me proud.
THANK YOU! Someone else appreciates Kevin Harlan.
P. S. There’s a cat on the field, Jim 😼😹
Let’s be honest, when a big man gets the ball, we all root for him
Everybody loves a big boy TD
"He's at getting away from the cops speed!" I died, now imagine if he said this in the 2020 season. 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
genuinely who would give a shit
I am so glad the Freeman (HE DID WHAT?) catch made it in. The first thing I thought of when I read this headline. I remember that was a Monday Night game. Phenomenal concentration and a great receiver.
"He's got 'Gettin away from the cops' speed!" While showing my Browns lost again in the crawl. Classic.
4:55-6:03 is probably the funniest and greatest Announcer moment
He saw the moment and took it.
It brought way more entertainment in a game that was already a one-sided match by that point.
It's also funny when he saying "They surrounded this man like he is ..." and stopped because he realizes he probably couldn't get away with saying what I think he wanted to say.
(Remember's is not open-mic night and can't make any comments that could sound offensive or possibly racist.)
What's even sadder, the drunk fan that ran on the field probably had more rushing yards than the Rams did that game.
Greatest of all time lol he didn’t need to do that but went full entertainment mode
7:50 those voice cracks just made it so much better 😂😂😆
Not seeing the entire thing but just seeing the pissed off face on the coach and then seeing the little flash of people running by at 5:20 was just comedy gold
Bro this video is an absolute gem, whoever disliked it must literally be that one totally drunk guy that barely made it to the vid and couldn't even hit the thumbs up properly
8:32
He's at the 3, he's at the 2, he's in the cdw red zone, and the cat RUNS into the end zone! THAT IS A TOUCHDOWN!!!!
I died 😂😂
“HE’S GOT GETTING AWAY FROM THE COPS SPEED!”
hits different now with CJ2K having an attempted murder case on him
@Real Talk lmaooo
I love how many Gus Johnson calls there are. He brings the game to life
One of my favs
I really do love that Larry Allen call, rarely do you see offensive lineman in the limelight and the fact that the announcer was so amazed at his hustle and speed for a 320 pounder made me happy. Larry Allen was an ATHLETE!
and the announcer, Dan Dierdorf, was so impressed because he was an OL himself
@@stephensoldner Yes he was super proud of the play
Hall of famer rite there
I always find it funny that the cameras are showing the saints fans cheering but the announcer crew don't care they're just marveling at Larry Allen's save
@@MrLancealot Rite lol
“that’s rick levato, demi levato’s husband”
😂😂😂
"At least he held on to the helmet." Damn. Straight savage
To anybody who isn’t a Vikings fan, these 4 plays perfectly sun up the history of the franchise-good team, has a lead late, and somehow finds a way to choke it away year after year
As a Browns fan, i understand perfectly.
As a dolphins fan, I can’t relate to the good team part
As a saints fan, I don't know the refs have against us. Year after year, bad calls. Obviously not all refs fault, we have our stupid moments but I believe we have paid enough for bountygate
As a Bucs fan, we have a slightly different problem. We usually suck. Every 20 years or so, things go our way and we win a title in dominant fashion, then our luck sours and we end up sucking again for 20 years. For example, we just won a title and no we have the injury bug, Brady is getting divorced and is a lock to retire this year and our most recent draft class is doing nothing so far.
every single team has experienced moments like this, as you can see from people naming 5 different teams in the replies
Keenum, steps into it
Pass is CAUGHT
DIGGS
SIDELINE
TOUCHDOWN
UNBELIEVABLE
as a Saints fan that's one of my favorite calls ever but def not my favorite outcomes of a game lol.
@@jlewis8285 Haha for real
Overrated
The radio one was better with Paul Allen
VIKINGS WIN IT
1:40 you never really consider a local announcer’s team losing call to be “all-time”, but this one absolutely is.
Paul Allen baby
I’m a fan of a team with no reason to like or dislike either of those teams, but I still get goosebumps every time I watch it
some of this stuff happened 10 maybe 15 years ago but when playoffs are involved it gives true football fans goose bumps
I’m a Steelers fan. Antonio Brown has some serious issues that I hope he gets resolved. That said, I think it’s for the best that he’s out of Pittsburgh.
Even with all the controversy, accidentally jump kicking the Browns punter in the face is an iconic moment.
"Falcon KICK!"
Evidence of how the Steelers get treated with kid gloves.
“The guy is drunk! But there he goes!”
“STOKLEY! DOWN THE SIDELINE!!!!” Gotta be my favorite.
That's golden
The way he says it tho
Gus Johnson is the man!!
Harlan used to call the Chiefs games for years. He's one of the best. What's cool about him is that he can be the "play by play" guy or the "color analyst" at the same time. His enthusiasm is great. I'd love to see him and Tony Romo call a game sometime
7:07 - That cat had more rushing yards than the Dolphins offense did that night.
I’m a Bears fan...but that Vikings announcer’s, “No!” was one of the most painful things I’ve ever heard of.
@@maitrik_6738 I'm a Vikings fan (but live in Illinois).
Paul Allen, the Vikings Radio announcer is the biggest, die-hard fan for the Vikings.
This video link below is when Paul Allen called the Minneapolis Miracle on the walk-off TD against the Saints:
ruclips.net/video/d4a9KApRUks/видео.html
Now, THIS is how I expect home team announcers to act when their team scores and wins the game.
