This isn't just any Transformers movie, this shows the origin of Optimus Prime as Orion Pax and Megatron as D-16 and how the war between Autobots and Decepticons began.
Yea I think this will be one of the most important transformers movie.

They were given the Transformation Cog or T-Cog. In most tf lore, specifically the aligned continuity, they were made by Amalgamous Prime, one of the original 13 primes
I was under the impression they had a tcog from the start. Interesting.
@@ReactZones if anything, they probably didn’t learn to do it yet, cause I remember in G1 where they explain that when the Cybertronian were rules by the quintessens, they needed to learn the ability and after that, started develop of the part itself, I think
@@ReactZonesit kinda depends on the continuity but generally speaking the cybertronian race couldn’t transform initially but eventually they did. In most continuities by the time Orion Pax came around, all cybertronians could transform. In this movie, it seems that the main cast is part of a lower class of hierarchy since they can’t transform while cybertronians who can transform are part of the higher classes.
@@ReactZones it's something we'll have to wait to find out in the movie because it's slightly different from various other lores. Orion says towards the start "we can't even transform," which means they're clearly aware of the ability, and they each have a hollow in their chest where a T-cog is meant to go. I'm guessing part of the story will be explaining why not all of them get T-cogs, despite being made to have them. Maybe only the elite are allowed them? I guess we'll see

In the shot directly after the one wirh Airachnid you can see Starscream Soundwave and Shockwave!
Also those tentacle guys are most likely the Quintessons, and the guy they were interrogating was Sentinel Prime, so there’s a good chance they have leverage over him and control Cybertron through him
And Soundwave, Starscream and Shockwave look awesome! Fully G1!

I knew this was going to appear somewhere when I saw arachnid in the trailer
Not Arcee, Alita One, also those were transformation cogs that Alpha Trion gave them, apparently in this movies continuity the pre-civil war class system operates on levels with some Cybertronians not having T-cogs and being able to transform.
Also fun fact, D-16 was the original 80's Megatron toys number before the toy was Megatron and was bought by Takara from the company that owned it previously.
Yeah, that makes sense. I was too intrigued to think straight to realize he gave them T-cogs. I also figured they could transform but earlier in the trailer it's briefly said they are lowly bots that can't. I believe this comes from the IDW comics but I could be mistaken.
from what i get from the trailer its low caste worker bots like orion and D-16 that can't transform, and I think thats alpha trion giving them T-cogs in the cave.
from what test screens said the film was pretty much near perfect, it has a major tone shift in the second half too so im guessing when orion and D-16 fall apart the movies gonna dramatically shift into that more gritty and tense cybertronian war with the start of the civil war, honestly this film I cant wait for
The t-cogs are probably from the other primes bodies so that mean they all have a part of a prime in them. Maybe D-16 got his from Megatronus body and it helps to corrupt him
Hope not I don’t think they should be enemies at the end of this film. I think the seeds should be planted. Also megatron doesn’t need a corrupt tcog. It’s always been a Jor-El and Zod dynamic. Through different circumstances they rise to be prominent fixture in their field. Optimus as a scientist and Megatron as a solider/General. Very close friends who then have a falling out over waring philosophical views on how to save Cybertron.

Im really excited for this movie. This movie is part 1 of a 3 part trilogy telling the full story of how Optimus and Megatron went from best friends to mortal enemies at war with one another and how the Cybertronian War first began. Personally, I really like the art style, and I like the vibrant colours of Cybertron. I really like Chris Hemsworth and Brian Tee Henry as Optimus/Orion Pax and Megatron/D-16, and their dynamic together seems to be a highlight of the movie, which will make their downfall all the sadder when we see them go to war. Honestly, I don't mind the humour since Transformers can be fun and silly at times, but since were just introduced to the beginning of their story, having that youthful comedy isn't a bad thing since its builds us up to the serious tone and eventual war and chaos in later on
BTW The female Transformer is actually Elita-1, not Arcee, and she was actually voiced by Scarlett Johansson herself

Yep! The T-Cog. I just didn't put 2 and 2 together due to intrigue and being in the moment. I was also under the impression they could always transform, but apparently this occurs through evolution of the species.

This movie is said to be its own universe and start from ground up this does not tie into any games or anything they said so I’m willing to bet they might make this a trilogy possibly but this is its own universe

At the beginning 0:30 that was Darkwing (who was renamed Blackwing in 2018 for trademark reasons); and the female character with Orion, D-16, B-127(Bumblebee), is Elita-1 , not Arcee.

Funny thing here is, I’d say it’s actually a reference to g1’s Gold Bug. Look it up if you’re curious, you’ll see what I mean.

Notice how in that trailer they mentioned that they’re “low class bots”?
Well in the aligned continuity (though the movie doesn’t take place in it) the entire war was actually caused by the intense classism put in place by the caste system.
And in the aligned continuity Orion and Elita weren’t actually Low class like they say in the trailer, they were second class.
In the beginning the decepticons were actually a noble cause, fighting for equality and the destruction of the class system.
Most decepticons were the 3rd class, which were often treated as worthless slaves who had little to no value and the higher classes often watched them fight to the death just for fun.
The 3rd class bots didn’t even get names, they were just numbers with no inherent value (like Megatron with “D-16”)
Obviously, after the cybertronians endured this lifestyle for tens of millions of years, Megatron speaking up and finally taking a stand against the system is what caused the 3rd class to snap, forming the decepticons.
Most autobots were actually the 1st and 2nd class bots that wanted to keep their privileged lives the way they are.
In fact, autobots often showed little to no regard for the lives of the cons, often brutally executing wounded and surrendering soldiers just cause they can, and even making games out of how many cons they could kill.
After all that, you could see how the cons of then were slowly twisted and embittered into the ruthless and merciless decepticons we know today.
I love the aligned continuity for this, because it makes the war so much more interesting and morally gray.
Anyway, sorry for the long rant, I really love this series!
The Knuckles series coming on April 26, Marvel Rivals coming out in May, and me this now? all I can say is "COUNT ME IN!!!!!"

we're talking a big budget, high profile AAA game based on the comics and TV series.
This movie is actually the prequel to 'BUMBLEBEE" and "TRANSFORMERS: RISE OF THE BEAST." I am very excited (I cried watching this the first time) but have my concerns and issues.
I love Chris Hemsworth, but nobody should be voicing Optimus Prime other than the great Peter Cullen. Orion Paxe is perfect for Chris since this is the calm before the storm and Orion is usually happy and etc., like in the trailer. Same with Frank Welker as Megatron. Especially when this is a prequel to the above mentioned movies. Megatron having his head black is an homage to his original design from G1 from the toy commercials, comics, and toy box. D-16 is also his original name that first appeared in the IDW Comics. I do find it also strange that Orion's girlfriend is Elita-1 off the get-go. That has never really been the case. There is way too much to say but I am very excited and even happier that they are releasing this in the same month as Transformers G1's debut (September 17, 1984)

It's not that I dislike the voices, they're fine for an origin story, but I feel like they're not 'robotic' enough.
Like they sounded good in the opening clip in the room with the slight metallic reverb, but after they meet B-127 (Bee) it's missing and they just sound like normal flesh and blood humans as opposed to robots. (I think the only other time I hear it is from Alpha Trion in the cave).

I totally forgot about the Quintessons. It's probably them. They're apparently combining all different continuity's lore. Pretty cool.
Likely Alita one or her origin name. In g1 just like Orion pax was rebuilt as Optimus his girlfriend was rebuilt as Alita one in the same episode. Also in g1 they were originally just bots being either commercial goods (autobots) and military hardware (deceptions) and slaves of quintisons their creators. The military hardware only fought causing the wars and to make up for being weaker the commercial goods invented transforming. In beast machines series the oracle (vector sigma) super computer that programmed all cybertronians back to g1 reformatted the maximals to be cybernetic actually part organic to cure them of the engineered plague and they had to relearn how to transform just like how their ancestors had to learn to transform. And in prime there was a special organ the transformation cog that was needed which was also referenced in g1 but not as an organ just a special part. In the 5 part season 3 opening one of the storyline was delivering a new cog to metroplex on earth so he could transform. Also it isn't too strange for it to be similar to marvel stuff in one sense since marvel published the comic since the beginning in 1984 and they were associated with the original animated movie in 1986.

i would imagine some of the Transformer lore might get skipped(remember the Quintessons?), other lore or most coming from the comics or the OG tv show. but all in all, we'll see how it does.
At first I was skepticle, 'cause the only thing I'm not that on board is with the organic merge with cybertron kiiinda destroy the point of appreciating of other extraterrestrial organic life if they ever went to off worlds but everything was okay
I think they are trying to make it similar to Earthspark, cause is the newest show, art style and humor appear very similar, I might go watch it, but for now my expectations are not particularly high
They’re taking inspiration from the majority of Transformers content over the past 40 years. So there’s going to inspiration taken from G1, Bayverse, Aligned, Cyberverse, Unicron trilogy, Animated, Earthspark, IDW, Dream Wave, and maybe even some Beast Wars too.

I don't wanna be that guy, but that wasn't Blackarachnia, that was Airachnid, who is also the character from Transformers Prime. And I just wanna mention that there's a distinct difference between Airachnid and Blackarachnia: Blackarachnia ACTUALLY has GOOD in her, while Airachnid is just pure evil. And no, they are not, nor have they ever been the same person.
Did you not hear me mention Prime shortly after I called her Blackarachnia? I clearly mispoke as Blackarachnia isn't in TFP, so the logical conclusion would be that I already know this and simply mispoke, right? I'm aware of the differences between the two characters.
I can't wait to see Airachnid in the movie, and I hope they keep her just as sinister as she is in Prime.
@ReactZones My bad. I just hate when people mistake those two because, again, Airachnid is pure evil. Like, basically every main Decepticon in Prime did SOMETHING good at some point, even if it was usually out of their own self-interest. Even Soundwave, who never helped Autobots, was at least LOYAL, unlike Airachnid lol. But again, my bad chief.
