This D-16 version looks like the initial comic version with the black helmet.
I pointed that out too! I think that it’s pretty cool honestly.
It’s a really nice detail I wasn’t expecting
I saw this too
I'm just glad that the characters are recognizable. I only hope that they actually borrow more from the lore (G1, Prime, High Moon, etc.).
Prime Arachnid is in it alone with Vehicons
@@Kirbyman1223I wasn’t expecting the vehicons, it was a nice surprise seeing as transformers prime is one of my favorite series.
Im excited. Finally a cyberton based film and im open to the humor of the film. Way better than bays awkward humor
I think the trailer being so humor filled will be for marketing, like how spiderverse too
Modern mainstream audiences. They won't go see anything unless the trailer has humor or pop culture references, but what do you expect when in 2013 Pacific Rim was #1 in all the other countries of the world but in this country it lost to Grown Ups 2. Only in America would the public choose Adam Sandler over Giant Robots and Kaiju fighting. Also animated movies that are not following the formula of Disney or Illumination are generally ignored. This is why I despise American Normies.
Something tells me the director/developers need to watch War Dawn.
I read a BTS and said he was given the lore but didn't realise there was alot of it like comparing it to Tolkin lore so he took some of it and put his own spin on it. Like I liked the idea that Orion isn't a data clerk this time round. Also this is not a preclude to any exisiting TF film and it is its own thing!
@@Renkencenit looks like a fun/feel good kind of movie and honestly….I’m all for it! The comedy is good at times but also a bit corny. I’m 100% gonna watch it.
War Dawn's origin is good, but the origins of Orion & Megs DO NOT always have to be the same to G1! I personally love the TFP Origin, but I'm actually fine that TF: One might have a different origin to either. I do have my own theories & thoughts of what could go down in the movie, but I'm not setting myself for failure; I still what to go into the movie almost blind, with the majority knowledge of the movie being from the trailers.
Orion might still be upper class like in TFP's origin, but maybe he did something he wasn't supposed to that somehow involves Megs & as a punishment, he was sent to the mines? Idk, but thats a thought thats going around in my head atm. And the T-Cog kinda feels like some sort of Rite of Passage, & thats why our main characters don't have one yet. Also, Megs/D-16 doesn't have one yet for this reason & maybe cuz hes a miner & miners aren't allowed to have a T-Cog so they could be kept in check?
Edit: I'm also thinking Megs/D-16 & Badassitron are both miners (in occupation), implying that miners only have number names. & thats why their names are D-16 & B-127, respectively.
I am glad My 9 year old Son and 13 year old Daughter will get to see a origin movie about the Transformers, it will help them understand a little more about the G1 cartoons, 1986 Transformers Movie & G1 Toys I grew up with, They loved Transformers Prime and Cyberverse.
I like the detail that D-16 have the black helmet of the from the original commercials animation design, then when he is Megatron is in his familiar silver bucket head.
Oh I never realized that, I saw the black head but forgot that’s how his toy looked. That’s actually pretty nice.
I do too. Its a cool detail.
I think it helps to remember this optimus and megatron are probably in there early to mid 20s, and bumblebee is probably late teens, so I could see a 17 year old trying to give himself the nickname "Badassatron". As well as this is an animated movie aimed at kids, so they are going to put most of the jokes in the trailer to show the light-hearted tone, it's hard to judge a movie by the first trailer.
😆
I just realized Bee is Mario's Toad 🤣🤣
funny you mention that given Keegan-Micheal Key the voice of Bee in this movie was Toad in the Super Mario Bros Movie
@@xxgoldmansionxx Um, thats why OP said that.
Maybe the Quintessons terraformed the surface or tried. We heard D-16 saying that the surface is dangerous. Maybe that's why it has grass
Maybe it's robot grass like they had robotic everything on Quintessa in the animated movie.
Maybe that’s how Cybertron looks before there’s a war. When the war starts most of the landscape changes.
It's different but so far it doesn't look that bad. We should just form our own opinions on the movie once it comes out and not sit on our computers all day and get mad at critic scores for nothing.
Agree 💯 👍
Completely agree!
But at the same time, don't just ignore what we can plainly see and hear in the trailer(s), either. Don't ignore what evidence we do have and merely hope all will be well when the movie drops.
I like how this show turning out I bet the separation between prime and megs will be heartbreaking
It looks ok. It may not be my taste, but I'll keep a open mind. The main point is that I hope it appeals to kids more. This brand definitely needs something good for the kids, like how Transformers Prime, Transformers Animated, and the Unicron Trilogy did.
Agreed! I was mixed when I first saw the trailer but now I’m actually really looking forward to it! I’ll always respect Transformers Prime, it was my main introduction to the series and I love it for showing a darker side of transformers while still being fun.
Glad you brought up the Unicron Trilogy, because that was what truly hooked me on Transformers during my formative years.
I see so many people already hating this movie just because it’s silly and they have Hemsworth as Orion Pax, not Cullen. But that’s the funny thing: it’s NOT an OPTIMUS PRIME story, it’s an ORION PAX story, a story before the war we all know so I have a lot of faith in this movie
This movie seems funny, and I might check it out either the week of the premier date, or a few weeks after when the theaters aren’t as packed. Then again, sometimes they are and sometimes they aren’t.
So far I'm excited for the movie, but we'll definitely need a second trailer to really solidify if the movie will be a full blown comedy or not. I feel like the trailer amped up the humor so it can save the darker/serious stuff for a later time.
Plus, people need to remember:
1: takes place before the tragedy that is the Civil War between Autobots and Decepticons that ultimately destroys their world.
2. This franchise is about transforming robot TOYS targeted towards mostly children and teenagers.
3. To attract said target audience, they have to create a trailer first to appeal to them, before making another trailer more towards other specific audiences.
The director said they went with the comedic tone because they're holding back on some really emotional parts when the stakes get raised and there will be an emotionally powerful ending.
No we don't we need to see the movie when it comes out no spoiling thing no showing all the cool scenes in the trailer let this be the last trailer they show until the movie comes out.. if you scared to watch it then wait till the movie comes out and let word of mouth tell you if it's worth watching or not that's how they did it in my day and after they need to go back to doing stop spoiling movies.
I think the one worker that Bee pointed his stinger at in the end was Greenlight. I am hoping for Moonracer to appear though.
Yeah, it DEFINITELY looked like Greenlight! I literally looked her up real quick to refresh my memory a bit, & thats literally her head! & the bot next to her looks kinda like Mirage.
13:44 Nice designs, the toys might look quite good.
I’m looking forward to taking my kids to this movie
I do feel worried with how goofy the movie is going to be compared to how we all know how this story is going to end with the Two friends becoming Mortal enemy, it be like if we saw Starwars Ep 3 Revenge of the Sith Trailer but the whole trailer is just Anakin and Obiwan being buddy cops and goofing around
I like the comedic vibe, I hope that once the war starts and Optimus/Megatron fall out it will be darker. For now I think the comedic and happy vibe of the movie makes sense and will make the next two all the more better as we can see how far things have fallen.
17:57 I forgot about the new generation. If you want Transformers to survive you got to make something for them so they can like Transformers like we do.
My 9 & 6 year olds prefer G1 over the current iteration. And they have watched all the series over the last two years. Anecdotal, I know. But their fave is G1 followed by Prime, and Cyberverse.
You have an excellent point, @@LectroDev. However he could have meant about NEW young fans. Just saying, of course.
@@AmateurOfficial true… the new batch. I still consider my kids part of that group because they can’t get enough. I was surprised when they didn’t take to Earth Spark. The whole feelings angle they didn’t enjoy. They went back to Cyberverse.
@@LectroDev Gotcha
@@LectroDev Right On!
Just to put it out there, the techno-organic environment of Cybertron is pulled from Beast Machines as it is stated in that iteration that Cybertron had organic elements in it's past. So that really doesn't bother me because of that. I reserve to past final judgement on what the actual tone of the movie will be until after the 2nd trailer as that is where we will learn more about the plot and overall tone will be as is the case with most movies. But as of now, it has my attention
That's fair. Though by the time of Orion Pax, Cybertron was already a metal planet in all previous continuities. So the fauna makes me question that choice. I'm still middle of the road with the movie as a whole because I hope that it is good.
@@RodimusPrimal Very true. I am still intrigued by the way they have pulled things from every corner of the lore to create something new and yet pays homage to each incarnation of the Transformers. Most would have not gone through the pains of doing any research and create something that goes against everything that came before. So I applaud the effort even if it turns out to be something that I don't really care for. But as someone who has lived through each iteration I am going to give it a fair shot and take it for what it is as I have every other movie and series
Don't forget Cyberverse, too. It also had planty/naturey environments.
What if in this lore, Cybertron started off as an organic planet first, thats why theres still grass?
Which is g1 since that was the story in beast machines.
Smh that's not G1
Grass is so hard to kill!
In Cyberverse, Cybertron had some plant-like & nature-like environments, & honestly, I like that.
I'm going to wait until the movie comes up I'm being cautious
I'm excited for the new movie, even though I'm 47 years old, new media doesn't have to be based on G1 for me to enjoy it.
Well, say what you will. At the end of the day I showed it to my kids, and they absolutely loved it! They are genuinely excited for this to come out unlike the prior movies with the exception of Bumble Bee. My daughter loved that one. As a fan, I stand hopeful and am just looking for a fun movie to share with my kids!
I’m pretty excited about Transformers One. From what I can tell, it will be comedic yet serious. The movie looks fun in general. I love the designs so far, and the voices sound spot-on. Chris Hemsworth has that excellent mixture of his own take while taking inspiration from Peter Cullen as Orion/Optimus. I would love to find out more about this version Alpha Trion. I’m just super excited about this film with its own lore.
I think the reason of grass in Cybertron is that in beast Machines, Cybertron was retconned that it was an organic planet before The Quintassons took over and made it a cyber world. That's what I think it's a reference too. That idea was so controversial to many Transformers fans and I get it.
I was thinking the same thing.
Cyberverse also had nature/plant-like environments. I do like that.
@fennekin1750 Yea it did.
Same on a lot man. The tone definitely isn't what I wanted but I'm hoping it's a good movie and good for the franchise.
Same
I do like that this movie somewhat gives off G-1 vibes. I was one of those kids of the 80s that got traumatized by the original Transformers movie. I'm certainly curios about this one. And with it seeming like it's more kid-friendly, maybe it's something I can watch with my niece.
I am liking it! And I will watch it for the entertainment. I am liking the animation and the combination of the storylines. But I do like the funny content so it will be more
Family oriented!
Im all for the ride with this movie. I see why most of us die hard fans will nick pick every inch of this movie, but don't forget we were once kids when the original was targeted towards us as well.
I was mixed on the first watch, but after the second, third, and fourth watch I was actually pretty happy with it. I never thought I would say this but I loved Chris Hemsworth as Orion/Optimus
Also the director says it’s gonna be comedic but serious when it needs to be. From what I’ve seen it’s gonna be less comedic than what’s shown here.
Edit: also I love the designs so far!
I did the exact same and I watched it a few times and it grew on me. I watched it first thing when I woke up and I was angry but I must’ve been hungry bc I wanna watch it now 😂
@@TheBabyCaleb This trailer is likely targeted towards teens and kids. This is after all, a franchise of transforming toys.
@@LockeLynx exactly, I’ll still watch it but probably when it comes out on streaming.
@@cyclonus96I also watched it first thing when I woke up and wasn’t super impressed. But after eating and watching it a few more times I think it actually looks decent. For younger people maybe but it doesn’t look terrible.
I'm definitely excited for this... and I'm a fifty year old bloke who has loved this stuff since it hit us 40 years ago. It looks different but fresh.
Cybertron on the surface looks delightfully synth wave album cover.
As a 47 year old, I personally can't wait. I love all the movies
hopefully they'll do a 2nd trailer to get more of an idea for the movie. i do think they will take bits and pieces of the TF lore to create as much as a backstory as possible. i guess we'll wait and see.
Wow at least tfone is not getting a dislike ratio just like Velma
If it did that would be pretty disappointing from TF fans
Ask yourself one question:
Can you see THIS Megatron becoming a cold ruthless tyrant that will not hesitate to murder anyone that gets in his way?
I mean Really stop for a moment and honestly ask yourself that question.
If the writing is good but only if they sow those seeds early on
It’s probably just me, but I think the best course of action is for a trilogy of movies to be made about this ‘verse. This movie shows Prime and Megatron becoming friends, a second movie shows them trying to make reforms in the government, with seeds of future conflict being planted, and a third movie where the fallout between them occurs in full. That way, we can have time to show Megatron’s mental state slowly, but surely taking a nosedive.
Nevertheless, I’m willing to give this a chance, unless I have to help out my family with some kind of emergency, or I end up going on a road trip at the time.
It's a process. Look at what happened to Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars prequels. Darth Vader didn't originate with little Anakin getting spurned by Princess Amidala and suddenly morphing into a black suited Sith Lord overnight. I'll buy into the idea that it takes millions of years for D-16 to eventually become the G1 evil Decepticon leader we all know and love, despite the fact I still prefer the G1 origin explained in part 4 of the third season Five Faces Of Darkness.
*Paul Atradies and Anakin Skywalker enter the chat*
I mean look at clone wars Anakin then look at Vader, pretty different characters but became that way thanks to the war, losing his friends, the pressure and distrust from the Jedi council and his personal demons, and in idw Megs was a idealistic pacifist who because of a conga line of traumatic events became the tyrant we know him as, so it’s not impossible to see
I'm excited, this movie feels like it's going to be a breath of fresh air for the franchise
The main thing I’m pessimistic on regarding this movie is Bee honestly, I don’t think I’m going to like him very much. I wish they would’ve put Jazz in there instead of Bee, it would’ve made so much more sense for Jazz to be one of Optimus’ OG comrades along with Elita. Hell even give us the cinematic debut of Dion
If I remember correctly, Cybertron was a regular rock and the Quints made it into a "factory" planet which the bots built. (Told in G1 Season 3). By the time the revolution happened, the planet was fully metallic. So there being life on the surface and organic elements, isn't too outlandish.
I certainly don't want everything to be super serious, just SOMETHING that is for a change. I expect light-hearted, kids TF to be all over the place, it makes sense. I would just like a project to give me those 1986 TFTM or War for Cybertron vibes. Like a high quality version of what Netflix tried to do with their series.
It’d be cool to see Dion as in G1 he was friends with Orion. If Starscream is in the film I hope to see him interact with Jetfire as in a lot of continuities he was friends with Jetfire before the war. Just because this looks kidafide doesn’t mean it’s going to be bad as Animated was really good and RID 2001 is one of my favourite shows.
I'm afraid this movie will turn out like of of those half-ass Blue Sky movies that just sits on my head.
It definitely gave me the same vibe from the mediocre Ratchet & Clank movie that came out some years ago.
@@Bearded_Breamignorance is leading you to say stupid things
@@Bearded_BreamNo, ignorance is leading you to say stupid things "fugitive of folic acid" wait until the premiere of the movie to say your stupid things
Love the shirt lol. I have the same one lol
I do hope that when Orion Pax change to Optimus Prime, it will change Chris voice to Peter Cullen
I hope Transformers One won’t suck, sure the voice cast is something to get use to, but I really hope it will be massive success both critically and financially.
I actually think the Chris is the best Prime that isn’t Peter we’ve gotten. That may be controversial but I loved it!
@@TheBabyCaleb Imo, the best Optimuses that aren't Peter, are David Kaye (TFA), CV VA (don't remember), & Alan Tudyk. Honestly, Alan does a great job as _that_ version of Optimus.
P.S. I do like EarthSpark; its good. It gets WAYY too much hate for the stupidest reasons. Can't wait for Season 2.
@@TheBabyCaleb Actually its not Prime, its Orion Pax.
@@Kededian we heard prime in the trailer at 13:17 in Rodimus’s video.
@@fennekin1750animated prime was pretty damn good too! As I said this is just my unpopular opinion. Honestly a lot of the primers we’ve gotten that aren’t Peter (except maybe WFC prime) have been okay.
To be honest, I do not know what to feel with it. Well I appreciate what they're trying to do, we need more of an understanding of the friendship between Megatron and Optimus before they're falling out, similar to that from Transformers Prime or even the G1 episode War Dawn. To me, this trailer does not succeed at that properly, and I doubt that the actual product will show that.
It has potential and my opinions are a bit mixed.
Ngl i enjoyed the trailer myself although some issues here or there but I’m hopeful it’s gonna go well but we’ll see 🙏🏻
Personally I keep my opinion reserved until I see it myself. Not gonna 100% judge it from the trailer alone.
I like the vibe so far. Once Optimus and Megatron become sworn enemies I hope it becomes darker, I feel like then we can look at TF1 and compare it to the next two sequels and see how far things have fallen.
@@Renkencen same. It looks fine so far but reserving final opinion until the movie actually comes out.
if you had watched the Beast Machines show(and one of the live action movies), they were hinting that Cybertron did have some organic life at one time, or the planet was teraformed to suit the needs of who was using the planet.
Maybe Cybertron is both remember the Maximals and Pedacons can scan organic alt modes and robotic alt modes
Great breakdown and analysis.. I really appreciate this
upon seeing the first scene, I have more hope. through out the trailer I could see consideration for the source materials, they looked through them and made a story out of them. (its gonna different, but I hope its good different, with at least a coherent story)
the designs is a good blend of old and new. the story rn looks like a blend mainly between Megatron's miner origin from the comic, op's G1 origin, and the story from G1 about how cybertronians worked under the quintessons but revolted after learning the ability to transform
the animation is alright (do agree that greenery looks odd, wished they'd done something similar to cyberverse , the metal forest. or bit of the cybertron games)
"Low on valium..." funny Freudian slip!
Transformers film in the style of the War and Fall of Cybertron games is all we want….
I'm still gonna give it a chance. It's kinda growing on me. Gotta remember, this movie comes from a franchise that's about toy vehicles that are also robots, that alone is kinda goofy.
Looks like that's what we're getting. This could be a prequel to that and TF:Prime. It's definitely not G1
So you didn't want Robots 2 with a SMB theme?!?!?
Yeah, your idea sounds better
100% agree! But after watching this trailer now a few times I can’t get the 2006 Robots movie with Ewen McGregor vibes out of my head. Find a need fix a need!
@LockeLynx This is such a ridiculous argument to make. Beast Wars was the same thing, yet the story they wrote to go with those silly toys was so compelling its still a high water mark in the franchise 27 years later. I really hate the argument of "derp its for kids so Dat must mean it has to be horrible by default." If that asinine way of thinking was correct, the franchise wouldn't have lasted 40 years.
Visually looks fun as hell, the action we got was freaking amazing, the designs of Orion and Megs are too simplistic for my taste even after they get the ability to transform, my prediction, fun movie for the kiddies, entertaining enough action for teen and adult fans with a lot of groaners for every 2 or 3 decent jokes, it gives me Thor love and thunders vibes, decent action, bad jokes everywhere, only time will tell
That's nice
I’m excited for the movie; for I love the franchise as whole. For the most part it’s cool making an animation version. I want to see more or a game
Super Hype To See It With My Friends Have To Wait And See Seeing So Far Am Loving It!
Now THIS was quite the Birthday Present.
Cool! Happy Birthday (early or late; doesn't matter)!
Great shirt!
Thank you for the breakdown!
Hasbro are once again foolish to bite the G1 Fandom hand that feed them by listening to Paramount again. A young Megatron does not have to act like that in order to win over children! And then they shoehorn Bee into this film taking the mojo from like 20 Autobots who came before him! Why even introduce my kids to this…?
Great review of the trailer man!
I'm excited for Transformers One! I probably end up liking this movie more than the live action movies great vid!
I saw the trailer 😊I'm looking forward to it it looks good .
Hope you are well 😇❤️💪🏽🙏🏽
Hemsworth's American English Cullen impression is close, but no cigar
I was honestly not expecting to love Hemsworth as Prime as much as I do, this might be controversial but when Peter is not able to voice prime anymore (either him being not able to or sadly passing) I’d love Chris to be the Prime voice going forward from there. Hopefully we still have Peter for many more years though.
Honestly, Chris does a great job as Orion Pax!
i could get behind this as some sort of Alt-U.
It has potential to be good. Hope it leads to something great. Watch, we’ll see more adults than kids. Butts in seats confirmed. With true fans getting tickets ahead of time, kids will be crying that screenings are sold out. People like me will see it early and probably rewatch it if it’s good. Just gotta wait and see.
Like some other people, not sure how to feel. Need to see more. The animation is nice though. I’m also not a fan of Bumblebee’s voice, needs a more youthful impression. I thought Dylan O Brien did great in the Bumblebee movie
Agreed, he’s the only one I don’t like here. Orion is actually really good in my opinion, elite I really like, and D-16 is pretty decent.
I like this voice for Badassitron, but I do love Dylan's performance in BBM. I hope he returns once or _if_ Bee gets his voice back. But, in the meantime, Bee should combine both methods of talking (radio & movie quotes) to actually try to form words, phrases, & sentences. But, him using quotes in ROTB was fun & great! & he should still just use quotes only sometimes!
I am optimistic because I am seeing so far finally there getting the character we love to look like what they should I hope it succeed as a transformer fan and I am hoping if it succeed they will stop drastically changing the character we love look and personality or needlessly killing our favorite off randomly
I Like it. Origin story. No humans. Young transformers. Before the war. I'm interested
When I heard about Transformers One coming out, I expected it to be more serious and darker than this. However as with every Transformers movie released since 2007, I will keep an open mind. I will see it because I'm a diehard Transformers fan no doubt.
Poor Dion - he got retconned out of the Canon.
Thanks for sharing this. I am very much wait and see. I am ambivalent about the silly stuff, but I understand wanting to sweep in a younger audience. I like the new origin story take and seeing the Megatron design that pays homage to the early comics. Regardless, I will definitely be seeing it.
Very excited about this movie, hope it is entertaining and doesn't go off in left field like the bay verse transformers.
For me, is very mix story G1 fusion with idw and others. over all i will still watch it. just want to see the buzz.
Huge Comment Incoming!
1. No Joke, my first impression of this trailer was either a Minicon version of "Big Hero 6" or even better "Guardians of the GoBots!" LOL
2. If I had it my way, I would've preferred Megatron's Youth Name to be just "Tron" because it gives the audience an easy idea to how much his Power Level as a Warrior and a Leader had Evolved over the Millenniums. Unfortunately, we have the "Corporate Rat" and the Tron Franchise to blame for that never happening. But either way, "That's Just Tron!!!"
3. I noticed a Pokémon Samurott in the post at 2:30. LOL
4. 9:29 There's something Ironically Nostalgic about Bumblebee's Running Animation. It gave me vibes of Bionicle, PS1 FF7, and a friend by the name of @kirbo-fk2kh told me it's Technically the same way Buzz Lightyear in the original Toy Story Films ran! Now I see it and I shall never unsee it, but it's still very satisfying!
5. Last but not least, I hope Rolling Stones does not Copyright Strike you for your reaction Rodimus.
I'm a big G1 fan I grew up with the 80s and Transformers 90s I hope it will be good but I don't know just yet
I am super optimistic because I've always wanted to see stories based on colony.Worlds and other random adventures in space and filling in the gap between nineteen eighty five and two thousand five... If this animation style goes well, this movie takes off and makes money and they decide to make a whole bunch of sequels in the same style.I'm here for it
If you're having trouble trying to get the right frame by just pausing it you can pause the video and hit the "." or "," to go frame by frame. "." goes forward and "," goes backward.
Yeah I'm on the fence too visually looks awesome! I'm hoping for a decent story.
Visually it looks pretty good for sure. It's the story that I'm wary about.
I like this trailer a lot.😉👍
My general takeaway is that it's not perfect (it is what it is) but I think it's gonna be OK.
It's like BB/ROTB; it'll have stuff I won't like but overall, it'll be good
Spot on. My worry is getting OP from the silly GotG Thor to the serious Pacific Rim level storytelling. The gumbo-style of mixing mythos elements into a semi-solid Jello lore punch is interesting, but when placed in the continuity of the movies... while it is clearly before the Bumblebee intro act, what does that mean for RotB? It's almost like TFs will have to have a multi-verse repair movie.
TF: one is it's own things, not a sequel to Bumblebee or RotB.
i actually have alot of Faith in this movie trailer is good
The director has worked for Disney Pixar and I DEFINITELY feel that while watching the trailer. I’m going in with low expectations, but I’m at least hoping that I can get some enjoyment out of it
Personally I don’t really like transformer characters saying Bad Ass and Screwed since they are always human expression, I always like how in transformers Prime whenever a character curses they always say “Scrap”
I do have a theory that those old cybertronians Corpses we see in the trailer are the 13 Primes that were killed by the Quintisons and now they are like the new Gods of cybertron
i mean screwed can make sense because its literally the screws which hold together metal plates and stuff
12:22 has no one talked about d 16s helmet possibly referencing the old black helmet that Megatron used to have
People have. I meant to talk about it and I think I may have cut that part out.
Yes this trailer left a very bad first impression. The character designs are a dramatic departure from the live action films, which I thought this film would be tied into. Not at all what I was thinking this would be.
I’m okay with non-G1 (I’m an RID2001 and Unicron Trilogy kid myself). The Bay films got me into being a hardcore fan. But this just seems…meh. I’d rather stick with the Image comics and old IDW Universe
Hmmmm....after the third or fourth time watching the trailer, it's kind of growing on me. The humor is a little cheesy, but I am liking the designs and nods to other things in the Transformers universe. And I like all the little things you pointed out in this. I guess you could say that I'm "cautiously optimistic" about the movie, so far. By the way, just discovered your channel and subbed! 👌🏻👍🏻👏🏻😁
I am going to wait to watch it on Paramount Plus.
Agree with your comments. I'm an old skool Geewunner. I dislike the Bayverse with a passion. The Bumblebee movie was acceptable. I'm hoping this is also acceptable.
This thing clearly has a target audience, and I think those of us who want a darker origin TFer film are just not going to get one at this stage. Especially with all the info floating around about Hasbro's money woes.
im looking forward to this so far, im excited as i was for the bumblebee movie or the 86 movie. but i am a little reserved due to dissapointment before
I fully agreed with everything you said. I'm a hardcore fan as well, and when I heard about this being made I was very skeptical...now.ive seen the trailer a few times I have decided this may be a great "cinema trip" movie. It'll be fun.
At least they tried pulling from G1. Sir I love your channel thank you so much for this.
Beacause the trailer showed comedy it doesn't mean that the whole movie would be like that. Director said this movie is not comedic but serious . See it on the cinemas and then talk brothers....
This the problem with trailers these days, they either will complain how a trailer showed everything about theovie and complain about it.
Or we have a trailer that actually don't show everything but people will just assume that is what the movie has all to offer.
I think it looks good. Something for kids to sell toys, but chock full of lore from all the various continuities.
@Rodimusprimal That doesn't look like bumblebee looks more like goldbug. Also Beast Machines says that Cybertron was once organic and that the future of the Transformers race is to be organic and machine bonded at the cellular level
Whatever they are, they aren't turbo foxes! 🦊
lol at least Bee will get to talk
Like you, I was here from the beginning, so I am a G1 fan. However, I am looking forward to the movie. I learned to temper my expectations. I had imagined Cybetron before what was shown in the series or movies, so I do want to know what they have to show.
My immediate thought watching the trailer was that this would be like the Mario movie with Transfornees (but a little more serious)
Which I enjoyed, but I didn’t think it was that amazing
Though I’ll still give it a chance
