My laptop just restarted itself like 15 times today while in use. I looked at the Event Viewer but then I got a pop-up saying "Event Viewer service is unavailable"??

I had the same problem and I tried a lot
BIOS reset and Change settings
I suffered from for a long time,
but the problem was in the wifi card
When I replaced it, the problem was gone
And the battery consumption is lower
The temperature of the laptop is normal

How to turn on CPU low power mode?
I don’t know if this would help me but I wanted to try. The only problem is that my laptop resets itself every 2-3 minutes so I’m having troubles continuing anything that might help. Do you have any other suggestions?
And sometimes it resets even sooner than that. Like sometimes it only goes to my lockscreen and then restarts again. So frustrated! What do I do?? Any thoughts?

Hi, I have the same issue, just replaced ram, crashing and same codes, how did you do low power mode?
Ok so mine is doing the Blue screen of death, almost after ten mins each time after start up, and it doesn't give me any codes as to why it's shutting down, and I have tried to get to event viewer, but it instantly goes to the stop code screen when I attempt to open the viewer. I cannot view the issue, or figure out wtf is wrong, and it's scarring me

1. Is your computer overheating at all? Was there a recent liquid spill?
2. What is the battery showing when it turns off? Also, if you remove the battery and just use the computer with the power adapter, does the issue remain?
I'm having trouble with my dell laptop. After I shut down the laptop it automatically start up again. I have done the bios-power management thing, network adopter, power button settings, registery-power after shutdown thing, troubleshooting the power settings in settings. And yet I'm still having the same issue. Can you please help what elsei can do to fix it?
I undervolted my laptop and when it randomly restarts then its understandable but when i turned everything back to normal it still sometimes reboots randomly. Also in intel xtu power limit , thermal throttling are turned yes is there a fix ??

I have a disability and this restarting has been happening for years it will go right back where it left of but my time sensitive real time sporting events are lost. I have done everything. reinstall video card, edit registry, nothing works... But event thing ILL try this...

After upgerading my HP 8770w with an GTX 980M the System keeps "restarting" ist does that even without being bootet into Windows. Ist totally random and happens after 1 Minute on average after Boot. The GPU came from an fully working Alienware M17X R4 and had no issues.

i dropped my laptop. At first the screen was just broken, it had lines and black holes. Now, every ten minutes it freaks out and restarts. please help. The screen visibly freaks out, it has half inch lines going right and left.
If the screen is broken then you should replace that first so we can see what is going on with the computer. Or you can hook the computer up to an external monitor to see. Remove the battery and unplug the charger for a few minutes to force the computer off. Then put them back in. What happens then?
@@PC_Monkey I dont have another screen, but i did hook it up to a projector. It uses the HDMI cord and the screen doesnt show up broken, but the resetting keeps happening. Even when i turn it off completely, it still freaks out and resets every 10 minutes or so.
Hey, how come whenever my hp laptop runs out of battery, it just acts like it deleted everything, my wallpaper is gone, my Google account is gone, my drawings that I do are gone. if i go into certain programs like after effects or photoshop, which is one of my hobbies, i’ll go to save the program or switch tabs from it to chrome quickly and when i come back the screen goes black, flashes a little, and my laptop restarts it’s self. i have a lenovo laptop, though i’m not sure which gen. i think an idea pad. it sucks because i can’t do the things i love any more.

for me the fix was uninstalling the network adapters, for me that was the realtek pcie gbe family controler as well as intel wifi 6 ax200 160 mhz. I had a few others but those are the only two I uninstalled. DO NOT UPDATE THEM cuz for me that was the cause of my crash. noit sure is the intel wifi is a cause but the realtek one is confirmed.

What next?
That means your HDD may be loose or bad. Try 'Reseating' the HDD first as seen here in this video. Try the diagnostic test again. If it fails to change the scan, I would then replace the HDD and install an Operating System to the new one. You can see how to do that here;

1. When does your HP restart exactly? During startup or after you are in Winodws?
2. Also, did anything happen before this issue appeared? Overheating, liquid spill, Windows update, etc?
My hp would turn on and off like in 2 or 3 sec and wldnt turn on after disassembly
1. If the computer started having issues just after you went inside, then I would first assume that yes, something was made loose or damaged. Try rechecking all the connections to make sure everything is plugged in securely.
2. Are there any signs of life at all when you try to turn it on? Lights? Fan, Motherboard, or Hard Drive sounds? Anything seen on the screen?

I the ID 10010, Microsoft says to search up HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\ApplID\{B292921D-AF50-400c-9B75-OC57A7F29BA1} but the {B292921.......} part doesn't seem to exist anywhere on my pc, at least I can't find it, I can find {B21....} but not {B29....}

I have a Toshiba Satellite C75D-B7240 and i've been having that exact issue of it restarting randomly, followed the steps of the video and i was able to find out 2 fishy looking events (Event 37 Kernel processor power and Event 41 Kernel power) but i'm not getting exact answers on what to do to fix my laptop.

What were the error codes?
i don't know where i can see the error codes but the event ID's are (6008, 7022, 37 and 41)
6008 and 7022 are Error logs
37 and 41 are Warning logs
Just to make sure too, i don't get bluescreens at all, my laptop just randomly restarts when i'm playing some games, watching videos etc. But then sometimes it doesn't restart in situations where it normally does, vice versa

What if it says both error and critical?? my new hp laptop just randomly restarted itself (black screen then back to normal) while I was on fl studio which my work wasnt saved. Error event 6008 and critical event 41. Is this normal? Should i return item?
Both those errors usually have to do with the computer not being shut down correctly. They can be related to the operating system. Are you powering off the computer correctly, just shutting it, or putting it sleep mode?
@@PC_Monkey I shut it down properly, I just press the shutdown button, sometimes I sign out first then shut down. But right now I just checked my updates and it says i have a update available missing important fixtures, so I installed it but then it bugged out a bit, the screen went on and off then it said your device is on the risk of being out of date, so then I went to power where it said update and restart and clicked on it.
So at the moment I'm on the restarting loading screen and have been here for a long while. This is the i7 hp slim laptop 8 gb ram by the way just got from argos. Thanks for the reply I'll let you know what happens if it gets pass this restarting loading screen.

Just so you know I am commenting this not fully through the video yet, but I play Fortnite mainly on my laptop and I know it isn’t overheating issues because i play hours on end and it doesn’t automatically restart but this is new so if it does work I will edit this comment saying thanks

@@PC_Monkey Here is the story in the past days my laptop was shutting down for every 1 hour, so I tried your video “ How to fix Windows 7 shutting down by itself” I succesfully followed your steps and then it started restarting and restarting 3 times and then it stopped restarting, I turned it on but now it started shutting down by itself for every 30 seconds, and then after several turn on turn off turn on turn off my laptop stop turning on, and then I left my laptop alone for hours and then I tried to turn it on, and IT DID TURN ON, but then every 30 mins it shut downs by itself again. and then for the 3rd time it shutted down by itself I can’t turn it on, and my charging light goes white and orange, white and orange and white and orange repeatedly

Hello. My laptop has a couple of the issues. It's a hp 250 g3. Initially only the airplane mode light was visible for 10s after switching it on and the laptop would switch off. It would keep attempting to start (by itself) then after what seems like a lifetime, windows would boot and I'd login. Then it would just go off ramdomly after about 3 to 5 min of accessing windows. I disassembled it and reassembled + tried to fix start up issues using advanced options.
Now it boots, but still switches off after the 3-5 min. Just tried resetting the pc under advanced startup options but it's failing as well.
What could the issue + solution? Power/bat is okay, and so is the OS. though i also can't uninstall latest feature update from the startup advanced options.
The error I'm getting is that it encountered a problem resetting/uninstalling feature updates.
EDIT. The failure to start issue is still persisting. It'll fail the first time & try rebooting about 4-5 times before windows loads.

What is the battery charge showing when the computer turns off? Does it still turn off with the battery removed?

My battery spoilt long ago. My laptop is basically a desktop😅
After I changed uefi/legacy settings and reverted them, it just doesn't switch on anymore. Just on for 3 secs then goes off. Sometimes it tries to restart by itself, but not as often as before.
Opened it up to remove the cmos, but was stuck at the screen connector. Its a pretty tough one to disconnect. It's the 4*2 connector

@@PC_Monkey did everything there except for checking the charger. Don't have access to a meter at the moment. Still the same no starting issue.
EDIT: when it came on. I was able to see the error as event id 41 - bug check code is 0
Finally got it working.
Apparently the computer had reset itself to automatically turn off the hard disk after 20 mins.

Perhaps but unlikely. To check, remove the battery and just run the computer on the power adapter.

I didn’t find any warnings it just says audit success. I kept getting shut downs randomly.

My hp ProBook is restarting automatically after shutting down.
Try to remove the battery and power adapter. Hold down the power key for 1 minute. Then put the adapter and battery back in. Try to turn the computer on and use as normal. Then, the next time you turn it off, does it still restart?

Thank you so much. So my event ID is "41"(Kernel Power) and I couldn't find anything specific of why my computer restarts randomly. I notice the computer does crash a lot. Windows freezes but fixes itself. And other times it just restarts on its own. This happens once in a while. Any idea on how to fix this. Thanks.

@PC Monkey I did clean the vents.. they were very dusty and so far it hasnt restarted yet... but when I touched the computer it didn't feel hot.. and i actually have a desktop computer not a laptop. But from your experience. What do you think it is? I notice the computer does lag and freeze at times.. thanks for responding.
@@rupman27isback If the computer lags and freezes sometimes, it may be an operating system issue. After backing up DATA if needed, try a reset or a reinstall

@@PC_Monkey Yes, it restarts while in use. Also, I recently noticed that it's battery is displayed incorrectly. It drops very quickly and after a while jumps back up.
And no, it doesn't overheat
@@nehabimal234 Try removing the battery and running with just the power adapter plugged in. Does the computer still restart?

@@PC_Monkey I tried doing what you said and removed my battery and plugged my adaptor but the laptop didn't start. So I tried using a spare adaptor and did the same and that worked perfectly fine and the laptop was running normally.
So does this mean my adaptor is what's causing the issue?

@@sunnynxtes Do you get this critical error on startup or when your using the computer? And what exactly does it say? Yes, there is obviously an issue with your computer lol. Its just hard to say what without more info than 'i see critical' :)

1. Are there any signs of life at all when you try to turn it on? Lights? Fan, Motherboard, or Hard Drive sounds? Anything seen on the screen?

@@PC_Monkey Exactly, I did install windows 10, 11, 7. Deactivated the fast start up. Forced power off with CMD, changed power management in intel, and many more fix. But nothing seems to work.
@@mrjohnoliver52 Perhaps the keyboard / power button is malfunctioning. Reseat the power button board or the keyboard ribbon cable. If that does not help, replace it.

@@michaelojok5297 I noticed that the power adapter was not plugged in. Can you also remove the battery? Then, press and hold the power button for 60 seconds. After that, plug in the power adapter but leave the battery out. Will the computer turn on ok then?
