21:00 it was mentioned that tomatos and potatos where introduced by europeans but i heard potatoes where originated from south america then itroduced to europe mid 1500s
In 21:29 (tomato) and in 21:31 (potato) are clearly mentioned from America, added to the previous plants were mentioned: corn, chili, and pumpkin that were mentioned in 21:17. They clearly said that those plants came from America (Andes) and domesticated in Europe. What I was wrong is corn. Before, I thought that corn came from India taken to America.
Surprised that critical race theory looks a bit silly against this documentary? All the tribes here and in sub-Saharan Africa were still in the stone age of development before colonials arrived with the Word and education. Until colonials arrived all the tribes lived apart and hated each other. Fought against, plundered and took slaves of each others women and children. Separate nations/tribes who claimed separate land zones and lived apart. Colonials brought them together in the end as one nation. Stone age met advanced science and technology and was given education available for thousands of years in Europe. Shall I continue? Perhaps colonials took over existing schools?
Ha ha ha the "White Man's Burden" outlook is still alive and well, notwithstanding the host of "modern" pretenses to the contrary. Not that it is inaccurate. But it still doesn't confer the right to walk into a certain place and take it over selfishly. Such philosophies of reformism require a great deal of responsibility and are not compatible with the ordinary European individualist attitudes, especially Anglo-Saxon ones.

This documentary seems to have a clear bias towards British colonization, portraying the Spanish unfavorably while glorifying the British. It fails to address the complexities of pre-colonial America, omitting crucial historical periods like the archaic period, pre-classic period. Additionally, it overlooks the migration of Paleo natives from Alaska and misrepresents the role of corn in indigenous civilizations. The documentary's portrayal of white settlers as saviors disregards the sustainable practices of indigenous communities, promoting a Eurocentric perspective of progress.

The is a very interesting and innovative series, taking terrific new angles on old well known topics! 👍😃🤩

The Aztecs were no in Central America (min. 9:50). They were in what is now central Mexico, Mexico City
Yes this documentary has a few things wrong for sure But still very informative
This is more about Europeans coming to America than "America Before Columbus". Misleading, disappointing. Although well done for what it is.

My question: 1) why didn!t the settlers build their houses out of stone? 2) Did the chinese culture not adventured for a new world to discover?
