    Why you should never combine church and state. The Knight’s Templar did nothing wrong, but because they mixed with Church, they became enemies of the State because of a corrupt King.

    They were first and foremost a military order. All their means, way of life supported this aim. They were each and all expected to be ready for battle and prepared to die at all times. This is what kept them strong and capable. To administrate the order, to structure their way of life, to build and manage their affairs, they adopted the organisation and methods of a monastery.

Popes and kings werent happy because they were so rich and decided to take it off them. They, as well as the Cathars, were accused of heresy by the catholic church, which was all powerful, greedy and corrupt. They were all arrested and tortured and executed. You don't hear about it too often because it's utter nonsense. There was no Knights Templars at the battle of Stirling Bridge. Although legend has it that they did fight at Bannockburn, and this, if true, would make more sense, as they had been disbanded by then and were migrating from their spiritual home where they were being persecuted.

      @@andrewtraynor4960 This is a well known myth that is speculating around Scotland. In the 19th century, various orders and societies emerged in Europe, among them one called "The Order of the Knights of Templars in Scotland", whom in 1843 published a work called "A Historical Notice of the Order", which was written by these masonic templars, where they claimed that the Templars fought alongside Robert the Bruce at Bannockburn in 1314. Of course this is not true at all, it is just another example of freemasons making up stories about their past, but later on this was also explained by a Scottish freemason Robert Cooper.

    Historical fact: The Templars were slaughtered by both:
    1. Kings of Nations (feodal monarchs)
    2. The Pope (religious authority)
    Why did they fear and felt threatened by the Templars?
    What are the things the feodal and religious absolute powers feared the most from the subjects they ruled?
    Knowledge, science, freedom.
    The surviving Templars may kept themselves invisible at the same time perpetuating enlightenment and the birth of Renaissance.
    They may even ignited the establishments of United States of America the land of the free, where the spawn of a new civilization concept arose: democracy.

    • @electryc03
      @electryc03 Год назад +2

      The kings owed them money, and they were jealous of their independence. The Pope liked them and the french king got tired of asking the Pope to denounce them and took actions in his own hands. When the Pope saw that they were no longer of use anymore, and he knew if he kept it up supporting them he'd anger the European monarchs especially Philip the IV. Nothing to do about 'religious fanatics' more about power and greed in the church and state.

    • @JediMaster21
      @JediMaster21 Год назад

      @@electryc03 oui, perhaps the label "religious fanatics" may not be accurate, but to paint 2 absolute powers that were then foreign to the concept of independence were delivered. Albeit, a correction is in order from religious fanatics, to religious authority. Merci.

Was this denouncing true and given by a Head of State who participated in these carnal acts and now was betraying them. Unless it was a surprise how did they with such a mighty military not be able to fight?

      You're talking post-schism/reformation, after the Russian Orthodoxy, Martin Luther or Henry VIII. But at the time of Templars there was only one Christianity so the statement is accurate... Unless you consider the Byzantine Christianity as an eastern splinter of Roman Christianity, than yeah your point kinda stands.
