This was really a cursed game for our grumps to play. The first time was Dan going through that bad breakup and the second time was the Backstreet Boys outbreak. I wonder if they have thought about doing it one last time. I'd watch it again! I love their Zelda playthroughs!

@@dudeskeela John tends to focus more on the game play while removing rants, complaints and general unproductive "progress" for these long play videos. Basically he does what all the other grump compilers do not. That is not to say he will not leave jokes and bits in if they are genuinely funny or fit with the flow of the video he is making. However if they are in a lot of other compilations it seems he tends to cut them out.

Love that they never realized you can just use the lantern in the dark temple to make it way easier, or that you're meant to throw the bombs at the boss as opposed to just trying to time the explosions

During the battle, Gramps is armed like Link and has attacks that are otherwise unique to Link. He is also the strongest enemy in the game. Gramps name in the battle is "Legendary". ALttP Link was known as "The Hero of Legend" A character mentions that, despite Gramps being so old, he has an intense workout regiment. During the end credits, when the camera pans to Gramps, the music plays the main Legend of Zelda theme. Gramps himself has a nose similar to ALttP Link's uncle (which he would have gotta as he aged). Gramps son looks like ALttP Link's uncle. And Gramps granddaughter look like ALttP Links bunny form
When they talk about the Mandela Effect, I swear to fuck, it was always Bearnstein bears ALWAYS. I was known as the best reader at my school back in elementary, zero reading mistakes, college level books, even took tests after reading to check for knowledge retention. It was always Bearnstein not Bearnstain. Nobody can tell me otherwise, I know what I read countless times before.
I'd like to expound on a musing that Arin began in the playthrough about why people don't really bring up this game when talking about their favorite zelda games, and not having much staying power. He also likens the wall walking mechanic to 'jumping' as a new way to experience the world. That is exactly the issue, because it's neat, but once you are used to it the mechanic is nothing special in the game. Like jumping. It's like saying, oh man this game is in 3d! Why don't people talk about this game more with this new way to experience the world....
Im pretty sure the reason theyre actually not good at games is because they ignore tutorials, ignore cutscenes, ignore story, ignore all hints, don't understand what context is, don't have basic knowledge about general game mechanics, and if they get something wrong they continue doing said thing for like an hour. But maybe thats just me
