What makes you think he'd like the remaster? It changes nothing about the core game and is still a clunky mess, having to hold a button to switch the stick from sword to camera is so inconvenient, and you can't even move the camera at all while sprinting. I figured these out after 5 mins playing and I have zero inclination to pick it up again
The motion controls for the HD version is way worse, when I was at the Wing Ceremony I literally had to quit the game and change the controls to button controls instead of motion controls.

This is great, i was so sad when i found they decided to finish the game with streams since i know its 50% donations 40% people talking to them so they dont pay attention to game and then 10% actually enjoying story
Star Wars prequel: The Force is midichlorians Zelda prequel: The Master Sword has an AI lady in it Me: And neither of those things ever gets referenced again.
In BOTW, you can hear Fi's jingle play when you acquire the Master Sword, and in the cutscene where Zelda lays it to rest in the flashbacks. I don't think the character Fi will ever come back, but at least they're making a point to acknowledge her existence
@@kamikazesopp I have to disagree with anti-interesting, at least in principle. Execution was a throw away line that would have been fine if it had been "The force is particularly strong with you," but having it be microorganisms instead? So many new things open up with them causing it. If they're in your blood, you can dialysis those lil shits out and into someone else. The entire setting would be radically different, and would look sorta like Warhammer 40k. But also, you couldn't move rocks. No blood, no lil things making an energy field in the rock to interact with. No lifting x-wings, stopping transport ships from flying off, no pushing over droids or sensing what they're about to do, since there isn't any midichlorians in them to tell yours what they want to do. On the other hand, 100% for sure you should have sith overlords with the combined force power of hundreds or thousands of normal jedi who can manipulate organic life at absurd levels. Microorganisms giving super powers is hella compelling if you actually build your story around it. Except it wasn't. So it was terrible, because it broke the story. Same problem with the Holdo maneuver. Sure, it's pretty lights and spectacle, but... we already know droids can fly starships, and can do hyperspace jumps, and engines strapped to rocks with AI brains are cheaper to make than trained fighter pilots, fighters with hyperdrives and shields and life support, capital ships, capital ship gunners, and also the Death Star. Why would you care about a thermal exhaust port? Throw fifteen hyperspeed dino killers at the same spot along the same vector one after another. Or one moon. Death Star resolved. That's specifically why the setting didn't let you do that before Disney bought it, it invalidates the world building. Why would you even waste the time to build a death star when you can throw hyperspeed moons at planets? Who the fuck cares about a star killer base? Feels like a good place to stop ranting. How's your day, you good?
Honestly these supercuts are actually making Game Grumps enjoyable to watch. I'm going to be real, I never played Skyward Sword cause I hated the sword mechanic like Arin but will not ever want to watch Arin play the game cause he'll complain the whole time. This solves the issue. Thank you good sir for doing the hard work and taking out the countless hours from Arin's over complicated feelings
okay but bless you bc arin's complaints get annoying sometimes esp when hes complaining abt something that is entirely his own fault bc he didnt pay attention or hes just bad at the game shdjdn
Not that I think the motion controls was at all a good idea for the swordplay in this game, but the idea that Arin would be patient enough to work with it is just hee-lair-ee-us.
It's funny Danny sang that song after Arin was trying to figure out the song Adiemus because the song Danny sang and Adiemus were sold together as part of a CD/Caset set with other similar vibe songs. I think it was called "Pure Moods" but you can probably look up the commercial for it. Total 2 am commercial vibes.
1:16:50 A prime example of the Game Grumps just completely ignoring an entire game mechanic for no apparent reason and then blaming the game. I know doing a show is hard, but like c'mon-
I didn't even enjoy playing the game and I had some of the same grievances with it as Arin but the constant complaining made it unpleasant to watch. Thanks :)
I'm playing the HD version for the first time and I'm in love with the game. What's funny is I was expecting to have far more trouble playing it cus I listened to this playthrough so many times and it sounds like they're really struggling at parts. But then I get to that part and nothing significantly challenging happens. I was like "oh, that was easier than they made it sound."
well, I managed to watch this play through as it was coming out until they got to the part where you reunite with Zelda and she tells you that she's Hylia, one of my favorite cutscenes in the game, and also prime real estate for them to bring back the "goddess!" bit, and they basically just shat all over it because they didn't know they were going into a long cutscene at the end of a long livestream, and I was like "fuck this" and stopped watching. I'm both somewhat sad and pleased that I didn't miss a whole lot besides donations for the rest of the play through, though this video did let me see Brooklyn Demise, so thank you for that.
Finally! A good way to watch this series without Arin's fucking non-sense, i love Arin, but man he was insufferable in this series. Honestly the worst part is that now Dan had to experience this game through Arin rather than through the game itself, genuinely the most annoying part
I've never seen this whole playthrough, or the entire game on my own. I was really looking forward to this one, and then they took it to stream, and the idiots in chat with their absolute BS Kaiju conversation for hours on end made this unwatchable. Is that gone from this? That would be excellent.
@@cupid3890 Because that's what happens in livechats. Somebody says something, streamer responds, and then the vocal part of the audience never lets it go. Lots of people who can't let a joke or discussion die out there. I would know, since I do it all the time. 🙃
I love every little time Danny says something like “I love this _____” then Arin says “I-“ and immediately gets cut off.
Genuinely hilarious

This is great, i was so sad when i found they decided to finish the game with streams since i know its 50% donations 40% people talking to them so they dont pay attention to game and then 10% actually enjoying story
They did have a lot of really funny things in the streams though.
These supercuts are so well done, keep them coming.
These are incredible. Thank you and great work.

wow, they really had the snail/crab debate in both this AND Sonic Heroes?
Star Wars prequel: The Force is midichlorians
Zelda prequel: The Master Sword has an AI lady in it
Me: And neither of those things ever gets referenced again.
Underrated comment king 👏🏻
In BOTW, you can hear Fi's jingle play when you acquire the Master Sword, and in the cutscene where Zelda lays it to rest in the flashbacks. I don't think the character Fi will ever come back, but at least they're making a point to acknowledge her existence
Personal opinion time: midichlorians were the single biggest error to happen in Star Wars lore until the holdo maneuver.
@@demonzabrak I'm pretty sure midiclorians are a universally hated addition. They're just... anti-fun and anti-interesting.
I love your edits on your videos 😁👍🏻
Thanks for uploading 😊
okay but bless you bc arin's complaints get annoying sometimes esp when hes complaining abt something that is entirely his own fault bc he didnt pay attention or hes just bad at the game shdjdn
I love your editing so much
Thank you!
My favorite moment is when arin fucking omnislashes the cat and dan just say “no finish him” like dude its a cat not a dragon 🤣
Not that I think the motion controls was at all a good idea for the swordplay in this game, but the idea that Arin would be patient enough to work with it is just hee-lair-ee-us.
As stated in his most famous sequilitis, he hates waiting as a mechanic. This game loves it.
@@kamikazesopp And yet he loves Bloodborne, a game all about waiting for your opening and memorizing patterns XD
It's funny Danny sang that song after Arin was trying to figure out the song Adiemus because the song Danny sang and Adiemus were sold together as part of a CD/Caset set with other similar vibe songs. I think it was called "Pure Moods" but you can probably look up the commercial for it. Total 2 am commercial vibes.
omg I HAD that CD as a kid!
the fact it took Arin 6 hours to play this game and 19 hours to complain is really a testament of Arin's hate for 3d games
4:53:26 Is... is that Dan's "no!" cut from Mario Maker when he was playing Ross's level Easy and nearly got hit by the falling spiny in the doorway
This series was so much better in a compilation that effectively shuts Arin The Fuck Up. Thanks for your diligent effort!
Thanks :)
I'm diving in fellas
I'm playing the HD version for the first time and I'm in love with the game. What's funny is I was expecting to have far more trouble playing it cus I listened to this playthrough so many times and it sounds like they're really struggling at parts. But then I get to that part and nothing significantly challenging happens. I was like "oh, that was easier than they made it sound."
Gaepora is the owl from Ocarina of Time hence that brow.
well, I managed to watch this play through as it was coming out until they got to the part where you reunite with Zelda and she tells you that she's Hylia, one of my favorite cutscenes in the game, and also prime real estate for them to bring back the "goddess!" bit, and they basically just shat all over it because they didn't know they were going into a long cutscene at the end of a long livestream, and I was like "fuck this" and stopped watching.
33:55 one of my top 5 game grump moments.
you are a godsend.
good night everyone! 😴
Dan was really going through a Tenacious D phase..
*Dan whips and blows air on a crab, still somehow plays better and is more engaged in the game than Arin*
I've never seen this whole playthrough, or the entire game on my own. I was really looking forward to this one, and then they took it to stream, and the idiots in chat with their absolute BS Kaiju conversation for hours on end made this unwatchable. Is that gone from this? That would be excellent.
I believe that was cut down a lot (I took up like an hour of the stream originally)
why was chat all worked up about kaijus?
@@cupid3890 Because that's what happens in livechats. Somebody says something, streamer responds, and then the vocal part of the audience never lets it go. Lots of people who can't let a joke or discussion die out there.
I would know, since I do it all the time. 🙃
The legend of zelda: skyward donations.
The intro lmao
The groose is loose
the groose is in fact, irresponcibly loose
