I've said it before and I'll said it again, Arin restarting the fight with Majora because it was really easy with the Fierce Deity's Mask has to be my favorite Game Grumps moment that doesn't involve comedy
I agree, it was kind of like seeing him go through a little character arc. He started the series with a super bad attitude that persisted throughout a lot of the game, but after taking a break, he was able to slow down and really appreciate the characters and gameplay in the newer episodes, to the point where he wanted to re-fight the boss to give the series a proper sendoff.
These cuts are so good because you get all the enjoyment of the guys playing games but with all the 'Arin getting things wrong for 20 minutes' taken out.
We gotta get this channel more spotlight. I really enjoy the “best laughs” compilation but these that show their reactions to the story of the game are amazing 👍
This is what my brain really remembers when I use to watch these guys. Just fun jokes and laughs and screams that kill me. This is better than the comedy podcasts I listen to nowadays. Which is awesome
I mean in a way it kinda is, it makes the final boss fight a total anti climax and its only usable on bosses you already beat, so unless you REEEAAALLY suck at that final majora fight then yeah its nearly worthless, its still technically better than nothing or a "certificate of 100% completion" like most other nintendo games give.
I truly appreciate these cuts more than you probably will ever understand. If you feel so inclined and want to hate yourself I would personally love to see a cut of Pokémon Fire Red 😂
The Dampe Trolling sequence is one of the most underrated GG clips ever. That was all quality, and the cherry on top was Arin saying "What's up, ***?" outta nowhere. Hilarious!
the fact Arin never once realized in his play thru at the end that there's a beam of light shooting from the end of the Helix sword every time you swing amazes me. all he had to do was just press the B button and he could just stand back and watch instead of trying to get up close for a physical assault I really like the super cuts cuz it takes out most of what enrages me while watching them play normally
Not only can the Wizzrobe be seen as a red dot on the map (which I didn't know because why would I look at the map for a mini-boss battle), but the stereo sound and a functioning ear-to-brain connection allow you to hear exactly where you should turn.
I didn't know about the map thing either, but I just quickly look around the room. I just sit on the corner, and- phase 1: quickly face where the single shadow is coming from phase 2: scan the room for the growing figure that's more detailed than the others
@@ImPersonNation Yeah, that too. I just recently played this again, and when fighting the last of the Poe sisters I could tell where the correct one was based purely on subtle lighting changes in the room. Funny how you get so in tune with games you love, huh?
@@allenlewis5689 I'm not sure if you're talking about the Wizzrobe, or Meg. If you're talking about Meg, the light changes are a little excessive, since the real one spins once they get a physical form.
@@ImPersonNation I think it's the poe called Amy. Well, I thought it was subtle, anyway. Played on the 3DS. I know the real one spins, but I went into 1st person mode with the bow and could only see one at a time, but the lighting let me know which of the three I couldn't see was the right one without having to pan around. I guess it isn't that impressive... Well, anyway, I'm sure we can all agree that the game is super fun. That's the important thing.
I'll be honest, I had a love-hate relationship with Arin's N64 Zelda playthroughs. Thank you for this supercut with some added (and much needed) backsass and removal of a lot of incessant pissing and moaning. This was one of my favorite games as a kid, and I hated this playthrough because Arin constantly blamed his impatience and lack of attention to detail on the game, and on several occasions just spat venom at everyone who loved this game. I honestly stopped watching this playthrough after his first mental breakdown when he said he wasn't going to play it anymore. Glad they finally finished it at some point, and he actually took on Majora like a champ. I hope they play the Oracle games at some point on the channel so Arin can have a mental breakdown by the Tokay Island part, probably.
Watching the return series of MM with Arin finally getting his head out of his ass and listening to people and doing sidequests, it seemed he was actually having fun with it.
I would kill for Danny on the controls for one of them, then Arin for the other. Should be great for both too, since it's a 2d Zelda which Dan killed on the channel, and Arin likes to tout the 2d games as better than the 3d ones (which I *do* like ALTTP over Ocarina, but Arin needs to not take the comparisons so seriously), so he'd likely have a good time.
I love so much that they were joking about spolier owl and how they can't recur him because he'll upset people and proceed to spoil something for Danny that he didn't know about immediately after
John... You mad lad, you've done the impossible. You've made the Game Grumps lets play of Majora's Mask into a tolerable experience. Nay, I'd go so far as to say an ENJOYABLE experience! Bravo, bravo!

Yea, it really annoyed me to see them play one of my favorite games only for arin to fail at every turn and blame the game. A similar story happened with hollow knight. But that series got even more screwed over by arin not listening to the game.
I feel like the first chunk was frustrating to be honest cause he had a stick up his ass and was raging at the game because he didnt know what to do but refused to engage and read anything from the characters telegraphing what to do or asking Tatl about enemies. Once he came back and actually tried he seemed to enjoy it and it was fun.
I really wanted to see the moment where he realized he was playing the game wrong for 20 episode straight. Shame they cut that part out. I guess Arin was really ashamed of talking shit but not even bothering pressing a simple buttom in his controler.
i absolutely love the comments and edits you include in, along with the super fast replays of the slower more repeated parts. this is amazing!! as always

I'm really glad Arin came back to this game with a better attitude way down the line. The initial playthrough of this game was hard to watch, Arin was deliberately neglecting to do the elements that are the best parts of the game (the mask sidequests, etc), and failing to use key mechanics (his shield), and then getting angry about the game killing him or him failing. After the 2 year break, and coming back to the game, it's good to hear Arin admit he was doing the game a disservice by blasting through the major quests and avoiding the sidequests. And it seems that he had a lot more fun with it himself after giving the game some room to breath and enjoying the smaller more aesthetic parts. Totally redeems the playthrough in my opinion.

These supersets are probably my favorite way of watching the grumps when I just want the game reactions. And they even come with a healthy dose of random bullshit that the grumps are known for.
I love how in both playthroughs of this game Dan calls the old lady with the bomb bags a terrorist😂
Arin being a Steven Wright fan feels so good.
