- The MGB is such a small vehicle, there is not much room for any creature comforts... Like a cup holder.

I have so many hobbies and now you’ve inspired me to try 3D printing.
This cup holder looks to be much better idea than my plan to cut 2 holes in the area in front of the shifter. My alternative was to mill some cup holders from aluminum and mount it in the same area that you chose.
Alex. I have been following your series for quite a while now and this is one of the best. I would love to have you make a cup holder for my MGB. this is also my first ever post to a RUclips video so I’m not clear on how to send money and such. Let me know what I need to do. I think you might have a winner on your hands and will be running your 3d printer on overtime once more people see what you have done!

I plan on starting a membership that will include free "gifts" to those who sign up. I had looked into setting up an ebay site, or even an online store, but don't want to deal with licenses and taxes etc. So I have decided to just give away my "marketing material" free to members.

Great video. Just a thought, if the cup is full/top heavy, does the holder become unstable especially when cornering?

What material are you using?
For my prototypes, I used PLA+. Printing finished models with PETG. it's food safe, and tolerates heat

@@AlexPlatacis I used to use PETG in my car (a MGB actually) but after a few hot days it distorts. The glass transition temperature is only about 70deg and it starts softening and distorting at 60deg. In a car on a hot day that is not really enough. I would suggest a higher temp material, ABS, ASA, CF-Nylon etc.

@@AlexPlatacis It would be an interesting comparison but I have done it myself on numerous occasions with my own designs so I know the outcome! However it depends exactly where it is, the ambient temp and what load it is subjected to
