If you like Paul Kerbel's tricks or are interested in finger spins go for the Horizon. Otherwise go for the Superstar.

Does the finish on the new horizon make it worse for grinding

The finish on the new yoyos are the same as the regular horizons, but they go through additional anodizing procedures which wears the finish down a bit. Consequently they are nearly as good for grinds, but not quite as good. The difference is very slight.

Garrett Cook I highly recommend the atlas I bought it and it's my favorite yoyo I own. It's a great yoyo for practicing tricks like bee sting and such since it's so wide it's definatly worth the price if your planing o getting serious with 5a because I know I am
