How pika main can think that they loose the mu, each time ness is offstage it’s a free edgeguard for pika, while pika can recover for free
It’s because lower level pika mains abuse neutral b and that’s all they know how to rely on

Pikachu can’t really use t jolt in neutral due to ness’s magnet and ness is one of the few characters that can cover pikachu quick attack to ledge with dsmash.
Ness aerials outrange pikachu aerials, if you pay attention gackt is simply mashong aerials when falling, because he is free to do that. The point is shinymark is good enough to play a focused-on-punish game, wich is already hard against ness due to his small endlags
@@kevinmendes6958 yeah sure, and that’s make neutral even or in ness favour, but it doesn’t change the fact that pika has infinite recovery while ness dies if he is offstage
Cause even if pika is winning less in neutral if he kills almost each time he touches ness while ness has to make big read and taking a lot of risk this make the mu in pika’s favour imo

We all know shiny mark is better than current esam but I think he may be even better than prime there’s would’ve beaten Gackt or Meister
Prime Esam isnt even top 50 nowadays. Heck, Prime Leo is probably not top 25 nowadays either. The competition and meta has evolved so much since then that even a player in top 20 is probably a top 3 level player back then. Its not that players got worse, its that others got better

Why?
Just because Shinymark is a good player doesn't mean this match up isn't in Ness' favor. I've seen matches where Scend (Ness Main) has beaten G&W in grand finals, but that doesn't mean the match up ratio is wrong.
If anything, this just prove how good a player shiny mark is
