I think it is inspirational that UK had such a long living lady representant for its society. While Her Majesty cared about the people, the people remained united in a common belief that somewhere, for sure, someone like their mother and father was there, and therefore it was only worth it to get up and work so that the peace would last. Life can be as sweet as a lady in her chair. I feel as though the Queen really embodied the spirit of a human as they present themselves in this era, if not always happy, often hopeful. Not to stretch much, I'm grateful for Her Majesty life, even though I'm not Her Majesty subject by nature, as I was born a brazilian person. But I'd like to think that, in heart, we are all children of Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth The Second's time. So and so, God saves the Queen in Her Majestic sleep.

I always perceive history as something really far away in the past and to some extent disconnected from the modern days, but seeing the Queen live from black and white to modern coloured video, and the fact that she and say King Henry are all related... I dont know how to phrase it, it's just the history... the transition... it's sooo mind blowing for me and puts a lot of thoughts in my head.

@@scottkrafft6830 My grandmother had a similar hair style and color as the queen, brown when I was born in 78 and quickly greyed around the late 80s/early 90s. It wasn't necessarily dyed -- grey hair can come on pretty quick, especially in times of stress, which the early 1990s was for the queen.

Elizabeth II was a truly exceptional Queen. She became the very definition of Constitutional Monarch. Flawless execution of duties. 100% commitment to her role. She will never be equaled. The only one of her children who many have come close is Anne. Anne will never ascend. For that reason alone, I believe Canada should abolish the institution. Elizabeth II was as good as it was ever going to get. Anyone else will only diminish the institution.

Her broadcasts weren't just about talking about Christmas, it was basically describing her whole life, and what happened during her 6 decades of life. And watching her grow up from a teenager, to an old old woman is quite cool of an evolution. It's sad that she had to pass away, because who knows what else we would have heard from her, if it was a 2024 Christmas prodcast. 😔❤
