Great video! I'm so torn between these 2 boards. I'm an intermediate rider looking to level up this coming season by adding in butters, jumps, and spins. I feel good controlling my board through turns but want to take my riding to that next level w/ all the added playfulness. Mainly all mountain riding w/ the occasional lap in the park.
I want this to be a great 'all around/daily driver board' for adding those next skills. Which one is the right choice? HEEELLLPPP lol
Is it really not suitable for a beginner to use? How would you compare this to Free Thinker? Thanks so much!
Both of these boards would be totally suitable for a beginner. They aren’t the softest flexing boards but are still easy to maneuver and control thanks to their reverse camber and Flying V profiles. The Custom is quite similar to the Free thinker in terms of shape and flex, with the notable difference here being the Flying V profile found on the Custom making it quicker turning and more nimble.
Im a intermedite rider. Trying yo improve my butter and switch. Im pretty good at carving. Im thinking to get t.rice pro.
Im 175 cm and 86 kg which size should i get? (My boots are 45 man euro)
T. Rice Pro would be an awesome choice! You should look for the 161W in order to accommodate your height/weight and boot size.
@@TheSkiMonster I’ve bought 157W. I rode it yesterday. It is awasome. It wants speed for sure. Bending the board is hard. But it pops well. Carving feel is good.
Amazing, I know it's not the comparisson here but I am really torn between the T.Rice Pro or The Golden Orca. I am 1.78 and 74kg, boots size 8.5 US, which size of board would you recommend? I was considering the 155 for the T.Rice and 153 for the Golden Orca.
You’re spot on size wise. The T.Rice Pro is the way to go if you ride switch somewhat often, if you tend to ride in your dominant direction most of the time the Golden Orca will initiate turns easier and handle any chop or fresh snow better!

Very helpful video. I'm 5'10", 150 lbs, size 9.5 boot. I love to charge and go fast, ride switch occasionally, and go through the trees. Which board and size would you recommend?
Thanks for the comment. The Custom Flying V in a 156 would be awesome! It will have a little more power and energy than the T.Rice Pro which will help when riding fast, and still be plenty nimble and quick in tighter trees.
@@TheSkiMonster What are your thoughts on the Burton Deep Thinker or the Lib Rig for my riding style? Would either of those hit more checks than the Custom Flying V?
@@milesolson81 Both the Deep Thinker and Lib Rig would be preferred over the Custom Flying V when it comes to riding fast in firmer conditions. The Deep Thinker will take a little more work to muscle around in the trees than the Lib Rig. If you tend to ride fast and in firmer or icy conditions, go for the Lib Rig. That will be a great balance of grip on firm snow, able to ride switch, and still easy enough to move through trees. If you don’t have to deal with ice too often, the Custom Flying V is a great option.

@@milesolson81 They’re pretty similar - Hometown Hero has a little more snap and energy while the Lib Rig is smooth and predictable. Both are designed for basically the same terrain and are both a blast!
Hey bro I’m looking for the T Rice I’m 183CM and 65KG what size is best for me?
What size boot do you wear? At your weight and height you’ll want to be looking for something in the 157-159 range. If you wear a bigger boot, say 11 and up, it would be helpful to get the 157 Wide to avoid any toe and heel drag issues.
Great video! I am thinking of buying the T Rice Pro. I guess Im an intermediate rider. 171cm, 72kg size 9 boots. What would you recommend? 153 or 155? I am not riding as much as I used to 25 years ago, but still like to cruise around the resort.
Either size will work great but with the T.Rice Pro being so nimble, the 155 will give you just a touch more stability than the 153. It will also be a smidge wider just to help prevent any toe/heel drag issues - go for the 155!

@@MickeM-nn7dw Also a great board! Rider’s Choice and T.Rice Pro a pretty similar with the main difference being the asym shape on the GNU. This will help the heel side edge of the board lock in easier but does give the board a funky shape. T.Rice Pro tends to be a bit more versatile for more riding styles and terrain types where the Rider’s Choice is a popular option for riders who frequent the park. Hope that helps!
What about lib tech t rice pro vs button process Flying V?
Those two boards are quite similar. Both true twins, medium flex, and reverse camber/Flying V. The T. Rice Pro has Lib Tech’s Magne-Traction to help add some extra edge hold. Of the two, the Process is the more park focused, and the T. Rice Pro is more all-mountain with a freestyle shape.
How does the T rice compare to the Deep Thinker??
@rob9667, The T Rice will be noticeably more nimble and quick turning, and also have a more freestyle feel due to its twin shape. If you ride switch somewhat often the T Rice will feel more comfortable. The Deep Thinker feels a touch stiffer and is more powerful, you’ll lose a bit of the nimbleness but gain some stability and energy when riding fast. The Deep Thinker will also have better edge hold if you ride in firmer snow conditions. Go with the T Rice if you like a quick nimble feel and ride switch from time to time. Go with the Deep Thinker if you like to ride fast, make big carves, and want something that will feel powerful but can also handle trees and soft snow well too.
