Thank you for sharing this video. I have a foot like yours. I thought that it the wrong one for my sewing machine. I didn't know that the bar had to go over the needle shank. I also thought that the foot was supposed to be down on the fabric to sew. I have learned so much looking at your no nonsense video. Thank you again.
You are the first video I found to show how to embroidery with a regular machine! THANK YOU! I hand embroidery, but it takes me way to long, & hard on the eyes ... I wondered if there was a way to use a standard machine, Embroidery machines are too expensive and I wouldn’t use it enough to purchase one ... Would using a larger hoop help to not have to move as much to get closer to the edges?? I’ve wanted to trace some of my own designs & add onto pillowcases ... 🤷🏼♀️ Thank you very, very much! 😃

If you leave your pieces of fabric larger, mark in the center, do your embroidery, then trim, the hoop will have more to hold on to
Just in case anyone had trouble hearing what type of foot she used: it's a quilting foot or a darning foot also sometimes called an embroidery foot.
Wonderful job explaining it. I have been very curious about how this works.
Thanks, Tara Lynn! xoxo
Very well explained. I have so much difficulty changing feet.
Thank you 🙏
How do you put the stabilizer on?
It's an iron on stabilizer, it sticks to the fabric.
Does this work if I use a thicker fabric ?
What type of thread do you use?
Which machine is this ?
It's a Brother Innov-is A 150
Is this singer sewing machine?
This is a Brother Innov-is machine but works pretty much the same for most machines, Singer included.
I couldn’t hear the name of the footer.
Quilting foot is what I heard.
