Everton actually apologised to City for the things they stated after Everton were fined by the EPL. Then they realised they were taken in by the red cartel and their American owners and now they are supporting City.

These are the fans that shout “PENALDO” and “PESSI” for Ronaldo and messi getting a penalty etc. it’s pathetic however real match going Newcastle fans have wanted city to win from the very start. The premier league didn’t care when Mike Ashley allowed Newcastles highest transfer to be £16M (Michael Owen) from 2005-2019, yes FOURTEEN YEARS of spending no more than £16M on a player. The PL didn’t care then but now cause Newcastle want to spend money they want to hold them back.

That's exactly the point. Masters and co. thought they were too big and too powerful for anybody to take on and expected every club they took on to roll over and do as they are told. They were totally oblivious to the fact that the people who run Manchester City are renowned and highly respected international businessmen dealing in contracts worth billions that make the PL look like a corner shop. Even now you can see from their response that the penny hasn't quite dropped, they haven't been able to grasp the meaning of the word "UNLAWFUL". The PL are completely out of their depth and they're being found out bit by bit, one case at a time, and they still haven't quite realised that they're just a bunch of nobodies who are completely out of their depth.

Totally agree, and I believe this case has gone a long way to proving to a lot of people, especially the neutrals, who the villains really are here. The report from the hearing PROVES not only that the PL's rules were unfair and unlawful, that they have abused their position, that they have broken their own rules by delaying their decision on City's latest sponsorship deal then wrongly denied it, that they are not fit for purpose and yet despite all of this, even now they're trying to justify and defend their position instead of accepting the position and acknowledging that they need to move on and revamp the rules. Their statement even had words to the effect that they were going to continue with the same rules in place. It's incompetence at best, and you cannot have that in an organisation responsible for overseeing millions of pounds worth of deals. People will still point to the 115, but what chance is there that the PL's claims have any credibility given the total shit-show that these latest cases are proving to be? (Most City fans already know there is little credence to them, it's not just blind support of the club as many rival fans seem to think). Remember this is the organisation that tried to fine Leicester when they weren't even in the PL at the time! Even after that case the PL admitted that their own rules were poor.
@@Beachgirl1 No, the arrogance of the PL is worse than hysterical. It has now been PROVEN by the country's top legal people that their rules are UNLAWFUL - Their words, not mine - yet they still try to claim the moral high ground and like the rest of you, still think City are in the wrong. Most clubs actually believe the rules are poor, only City had the balls to take them on, that's the reality.
It’s not clear who’s won this case but City have scored some important points. Interest free loans have been brought into focus. I expect that this will cause massive friction between Premier League clubs
It is very CLEAR, legal argument has only to be proved.... Either a set of rules are legal in entirety or however little they may be proved to be unlawful, then the whole set are unlawful! There is no legal world where lets say a set of 10 rules are still legal, just because 9 are legal! If one is unlawful, then that makes the whole set unlawful! wakey wakey...
It’s completely irrelevant, all we had to do is prove one part of it was unlawful in law, then the rules they have put in place are completely un-forceable
As the pl cannot be taken to court by member clubs and only tribunals,is it time for fans to get involved as they can take the pl through the English courts.
Nobbins was excellent on this matter. City were claiming that the APTs as implemented by the PL were illegal and City won on three counts. Even if City had won on one point, that would have been sufficient to demonstrate that the APTs as implemented were illegal. APTs are still in place, but they need to be adapted to bring them within English law. The PL are now trying to rush the new rules through. City are already threatening the PL with further legal action, should these be considered unfair. It would be fascinating to see what criteria is used to demonstrate "fair market value" as this is potentially subjective. The back and forth for three specific deals is ridiculous and casts doubt on the process. I would like to see a comparison with other clubs' applications.
