You're welcome, that's really kind :-) I actually hadn't actually realised there was a difference in megapixels. The first X100 had about 16 mp and was still wonderful. With the X100T you would be able to blur the background more easily. I've got lots of X100 portrait examples here - ruclips.net/video/DDAVeN5Ys4I/видео.html

Hi Joey. Thank you. Image quality, I personally don't notice a difference. I sold the X70 quite a while ago. I enjoyed it, but think the XF10 is more compact and a really light, portable little camera.
Hi. Thanks for asking, but unfortunately I mostly edit them individually. I have sometimes recently used Classic Chrome with more saturation and contrast. Sorry I can't help more.
Thanks Claudia. No I'm afraid I have not tried that camera, so I can't really comment. I did recently watch a comparison video by Mattias Burling that was interesting. His quick review was that the Ricoh was twice as good. I'm a little sceptical about that, but I've not tried it out, so I'm probably wrong! Thanks for watching 🙂
@@ChrisBoland I also watched this comparison :) and I am not sure if I want to spend so much money in case of getting sharp and clean pictures with the fuji, as seen in your video. I didn't really get the differences. Thanks!
Part of me wants to say I prefer the X100F, but I'm sure I'd fail to tell the difference in a 'blind' test. I don't think the XF10 is an x trans sensor. I will say there's a HUGE difference in shooting experience. The XF10 is wonderfully portable, but i would miss the viewfinder very much.
Most reviews really hate this cameras. But is it really that bad? I'm interested in it. But I don't want to waste my money on it if I can get a better used camera for the same money
I'm afraid I'm not familiar with all of its competition. For me it's great for putting in my back pocket if I'm going out and want something small and light. It's not an X100F replacement, I would miss the EVF too much.
For taking general pictures in the streets I definitely would. It's much faster and easy to use. However the 23mm f2 lens on the X100 would generally be better for portraits with a more shallow depth of field I think.
At first it was unusable in any kind of low light, but they brought out a firmware update and it was completely fine after that. I don't own it at the moment, but remember it being OK the the types of shots taken here. Perhaps not as good as the 18 on an XT4, but I'm guessing a bit 🙂
Hi Stefan. I do sometimes use the Fuji simulations, sometimes play with some old Portra and Ektar simulations, but mostly I just play around until they feel right.
@@ChrisBoland appreciate it, but what i find as a good idea - toshow the raw file, or the natural jpeg in the video and in 3-4 seconds to show the edited file. Thats how i'll be able to see the quality of the camera photos to the point of your editing.
Hi Julie, thanks for the question. There's actually no zoom - it's a fixed lens around 18mm, so 28mm full frame equivalent. It can be a little restrictive, but it helps keep it so small.
@@ChrisBoland thank you for your reply. I didn't think it wouldn't have a zoom In your personal opinion would you recommend this over the Panasonic Lumix DC-TZ90?

Thanks Claudia. No I'm afraid I have not tried that camera, so I can't really comment. I did recently watch a comparison video by Mattias Burling that was interesting. His quick review was that the Ricoh was twice as good. I'm a little sceptical about that, but I've not tried it out, so I'm probably wrong! Thanks for watching 🙂
@@ChrisBoland I also watched this comparison :) and I am not sure if I want to spend so much money in case of getting sharp and clean pictures with the fuji, as seen in your video. I didn't really get the differences. Thanks!
@@ChrisBoland Would you say that between the xf10 and the x100f there is a significant difference in image quality? Thanks again :)
Great pictures chris
Thanks a lot Craig! It's a fun little camera.
im currenly owning the Pixel 6. Do you think this camera can beat the phone? it is really pocketable, im really thinking of owning this one🤔
I love the Pixel phones, but I love to have a 'proper' point and shoot camera.
Just subscribed and lovely pictures! 😊
Thank you Juliana! 🙂
Amazing video. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you Danny 👍
Most reviews really hate this cameras. But is it really that bad? I'm interested in it. But I don't want to waste my money on it if I can get a better used camera for the same money
I'm afraid I'm not familiar with all of its competition. For me it's great for putting in my back pocket if I'm going out and want something small and light. It's not an X100F replacement, I would miss the EVF too much.
Just a quick point we’re some of these shot in Evesham?
Hey Mark. I don't think I've been to Evesham. Most of these were taken in St Ives Cambridgeshire and some in London. Thanks for watching 👍
Chris Boland my mistake I should have said St Ives we had a boat at Jones Boatyard
Ah, that's great - yes, most of my channel is of St Ives 🙂 I know the boatyard well too - my parents have kept a boat there.
Chris Boland we left there a couple of years ago and it was a wonderful place
Hi Chris I am definitely getting one of these!
Would you recommend this over the original x100?
For taking general pictures in the streets I definitely would. It's much faster and easy to use. However the 23mm f2 lens on the X100 would generally be better for portraits with a more shallow depth of field I think.
Appreciate it!
How's the autofocus compared with the 18mm f2? Cheers
At first it was unusable in any kind of low light, but they brought out a firmware update and it was completely fine after that. I don't own it at the moment, but remember it being OK the the types of shots taken here. Perhaps not as good as the 18 on an XT4, but I'm guessing a bit 🙂
@@ChrisBoland thanks for your reply! I own the x-t3 and 18mm but really wanting something pocketable
That would be perfect. I sold it, but kind of miss it 🙂
Thank you!
Thank you for watching Igor!
why dont disuss more on how did u take that picture? how to use each mode/ dial or menu?
Thanks for the suggestion.
Cool !
Cheers Gerry!
Do you use the film simulations? For example the photo at 00:18 looks almost medium format like
Hi Stefan. I do sometimes use the Fuji simulations, sometimes play with some old Portra and Ektar simulations, but mostly I just play around until they feel right.
Does the camera have fuji film simulation modes?
Hi Jen. Yes it does. Not some of the very latest ones, but most of them.
May i ask -are these photos SOOC or edited?
Hi. These are all shot with raw and edited in Lightroom. Thanks for watching :-)
@@ChrisBoland appreciate it, but what i find as a good idea - toshow the raw file, or the natural jpeg in the video and in 3-4 seconds to show the edited file. Thats how i'll be able to see the quality of the camera photos to the point of your editing.
Nice
Thanks 👍👍
Хороший обзор, Спасибо! Лайк!
Thank you!
heya, whats the zoom like on this camera?
Hi Julie, thanks for the question. There's actually no zoom - it's a fixed lens around 18mm, so 28mm full frame equivalent. It can be a little restrictive, but it helps keep it so small.
@@ChrisBoland thank you for your reply. I didn't think it wouldn't have a zoom
In your personal opinion would you recommend this over the Panasonic Lumix DC-TZ90?
I've not tried that camera, but it's advantages are 4K video, zoom and an electronic viewfinder - which is great on sunny days.
@@ChrisBolandhmmm I'll have a think. Thank you though ☺️
