INGREDIENTS:
🔹 10 to 12 chicken drumsticks (bone in, skin on)
🔹 Kosher salt
🔹 1 tbsp dry oregano
🔹 1 tbsp black pepper
🔹 1 1/2 tsp coriander
🔹 1 tsp paprika
🔹 1/2 tsp cumin
🔹 1 head garlic (about 12 garlic cloves), peeled and chopped
🔹 1 medium yellow onion, cut into wedges
🔹 Zest and juice of 2 lemons + 1 lemon sliced
🔹 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil (I used Private Reserve Greek olive oil)
Doesn't understand directions adds 1 million garlic and lemons

You are a delight and breath of fresh air. I grew up in an International family and then later on spent ten years in and out of the Middle East plus my language at University of Michigan was Arabic Classical. plus everyday spoken Arabic throughout the Middle Eastern Countries. A fantastic Lebanese woman taught me to cook the foods and bakery dishes and at 83 i am still preparing them.. I spent over 30 years in and out of Montreal and they have so many Lebanese there because of the War ..and of course speak French, Arabic and English. I love watching you prepare all of these wholesome dishes which bring back so many happy memories..As you might guess i love this food...Other difference is out of the US i shopped for my fresh foods daily....

I enjoyed this recipe very much. I made this twice, and the second time I marinated the chicken overnight. I also used the broiler on my oven for an additional 4-5 to crisp the skin more. Marinating over night and using the broiler made a huge difference. The drumsticks package I bought had 12 pieces. So I think when I make this again I would add more of the spice mix (which I plan to pre-mix). I am planning on making your father’s famous three ingredient salad next time. Thanks again.....

thats way too much garlic, if you want to use the whole head, (which is way to excessive) crush it, and stick it in the pot with the lemons, the flavour will carry through.

I just made this dish 15 minutes ago. I added lesser paprika and replaced the drumsticks with chicken wings. The meat just came off the bone! Plus the marinade and the fat from the wings was just liquid gold. Thank you!
Is there a good substitute for dill while making tzatziki sauce or will vinegar do just fine? I am from India and dill is not available where I live.

your seasoning is not the Mediterranean.......lemon , zest , and herbs does not do wit spices like Paprika and cumon......sorry
450 Degrees? Whenever I use olive oil and bake at 450 degrees it smokes and tastes terrible. Did you mean 400 or 350? I just do not understand when recipes tell you to bake at higher tempatures than the olive oil smoke point.

I followed the recipe exactly and the chicken ended up completely overcooked and the onions burned. Did this happen to anyone else? Next time I’m trying to bake it at a lower temperature for 20 minutes.

I marinated overnight and cooked it covered by foil 45 mins, then without foil 10 mis, and it came out great : very soft and juicy. My family loved it.

I cooked this yesterday, it tasted really great. I will definitely cook it again.
I just saw two other chicken recipe videos from this channel and just based on the ingredients used I'm already subscribed. I haven't made any of the recipes but, I'm dying to try them. I will use my FoodSaver vacuum sealer to help in speeding the marinade process. As the chicken is in under vacuum it will absorb the marinade in less time and without have to flip over the chicken. I'm just throwing that trick out there to hopefully make it convenient for anyone reading this. You can make a big batch and freeze some of the raw marinated chicken for a later date too.

Since commenting, I've made your cilantro lime chicken recipe and two bites into it. I knew that this dish will be on our dinner table on a regular basis. It wasn't the first dish I wanted to make, but it was the only one that I had the ingredients to complete on hand. The balsamic chicken and toasted orzo with garlic, parmesan, and sun dried tomato recipes are on my radar for me to make.
