I don't think he is completely wrong. Sexuality is complicated, sexual atraction and romantic atraction are different things. There are people who are sexually atracted to men and women but only romantically atracted to women. I woudn't call that straight, but people should be able to use the label that they prefer.

If guys like having sex with other guys then they are either bi or gay. A guy may have a hard time accepting they are bi or gay and therefore won't want to identify as bi or gay. Identifing as not bi or gay and having gay sex may be two different things but that's an identity thing.

I think sexuality, gender, identity etc are all too complex to be defined as binary (on/off). And that’s we get to identify the way we want to when we want too. And can change and be fluid.

I think there is actually more to what this guy has to say, and to some degree it makes a lot of sense for me :). But I’ll try to explain it with another example. If you have like any fetish like an attraction to people in suits (furry suits, fully leather outfits, etc.) I do not think you are sexually attracted to the objects or things (pee fetish - or whatever sparks your interests - ) that is being used. It’s more about ‘the act itself’ that can be arousing; ‘Domination or being dominated’, the idea of ‘being anonymous’, feeling sexual attraction ‘being liked by anyone’ (what he explains with the narcissism), liking the idea of doing ‘something naughty’, etc. It’s sexual attraction on an individualistic higher conceptual and abstract level regarding the act itself.
For example why would their otherwise be some people playing (sometimes) ‘roleplay’ in bed? If there is only something like sexual attraction towards the physical other (including male and/or female), fetishes and roleplay would make no sense.
I understand what you are trying to say, but sexual orientation is really different that fetishes or kinks. Kinks and fetishes are just something you like and get aroused by and sometimes you like to do different things with different partners or you like some things only in certain circumstances are met.
Sexuality in otherhands can be fluid yes, but mostly if you are fully in other end of spectrum you don't find other sex appealing. You can try and think ok not my thing. But if you repeatedly seek companions with both sexes, I don't think you can say you are completely one or another end of spectrum. Ofcourse everyone knows them self best, but I think it is little toxic to try tell you are something that you might not be.
If I use your fetish example, it is little bit like if you say "I'm 100% vanilla in bed..... but sometimes I like breathplay", because if you enjoy that, it is not 100% anymore.
Experimenting is ok and I don't think that putting yourself in too tight categories is good for you, but there is reason why we have certain terms. Also problem with "being straight guy who enjoys sex with sometimes" is that it really quickly leads to tought that you can "turn" someone and that is complitely different problem.

Meaning that (for example) as a hetro guy you can still have sex with another guy, not because he feels sexually attracted towards other guys, but because such a person gets sexually aroused by being admired/liked.

I think a lot of straight men have experienced same-sex attraction - but many don't want to be associated with the whole rainbow LGBT ideology, an ideology where who you have sex with defines your whole identify.

That includes same sex recreational sex, which goes on all the time among primates. It strengthens social bonds within the group and avoids violent competition where there are fewer females available for mating than males. We're highly sexed. It doesn’t matter what you call it or how you try to police it.

I don't believe that tick tock should be the platform for espousing therapeutic beliefs. From what I've read about him, he is a somewhat commercial version of a therapist. Your selected highlights present dynamics that are not heavily presented by straight men in therapy. And I wonder how often straight men often seek out counseling regarding such concerns, particularly with a gay therapist. Please don't present this fellow as typical of therapist. Though he may be exceptionally qualified, his social media does not put forth such. BTW: I am a Licensed Master of Social Work and gay. I have benefited greatly from my own personal therapy. The vast majority of therapists are highly ethical and professional. Please support good mental health and not perpetuate the stigma of associated with treatment or the providers of treatment. Obviously, this is a hot button issue for me, but I continue to love watching your videos.
