Thank you I've been contemplating ordering one of these for a while now I think I'll pull the trigger thanks for your time cheers! FYI the house I grew up in was right behind Los Pollo Loco!
Chris Rausch Thanks for checking it out ;-) yeah this type of controller is so cheap and easy to install. I ran mine off a separate battery but you could wire it in to the auxiliary channel of your receiver. ✌🏻
hope your still ok havnt seen you in awhile... i got one of these winches for my wifes jeep. but i want to run it off the onboard 7 volt and use the controller to winch in/out. anybody done that? can it be done?
Yeah… I think it can be done. I’m not positive but I think you’ll need a controller with multiple channels and a receiver with multiple channels and hook up the winch to one of the extra channels and it should work. 😉
Thanks for the great video! Helped a lot. One maybe begginer question: if I have one free spot on the esc could I plug the power cable straight there? Thanks a lot!
Marcelo Bazani Hey thanks for watching. I appreciate it. With an adapter you can plug it straight into the receiver battery port. To get power. Some ESC‘s have a fan port you can also plug it into that. Hope this helps 😉👍🏻
One question: You said in the beginning of the video that you cut one of the power cables, but you didnt showed it nor talked anything about it. You just said you didnt need it. What did you do to it? did you connect these wires together or just isolated them?
Felipe Vaiano Yeah sorry...There's two power leads depending on which winch you have. So I just cut off the one I didn't need and isolated the wires. Thanks for checking it out. Hope this helps.👍🏻
Awe_RC Man... 🤔 I think I got these on Amazon. I don't remember but they are ring magnets. Here I found this link this is what I used. Hope this helps thanks for checking it out. totalelement.com/products/1-2-x-1-4-x-1-8-inch-neodymium-rare-earth-ring-magnets-n48-20-pack?adpos=1o5&scid=scplpM12X14X18RINGN48-20PK&sc_intid=M12X14X18RINGN48-20PK&gclid=CjwKCAiAyMHhBRBIEiwAkGN6fKVo89ANMSWCd-z2Na2wQgVdTRIDAyjgR4_6qgUfLCVtl_-nUd1auhoCYI4QAvD_BwE
Stace Baker Yeah, I could do that but I'm not really sure if it can take 3s 🤷🏼♂️ so I just used a small 2s one. Thanks for checking it out sir, I appreciate it. 😃👍🏻
I plugged a servo winch that I bought into my warn winch controller because it had same plug as the warn winch a red and black one. It burned up the warn winch controller will that cheap China one work on a servo winch with a red and black wire coming from the servo winch? Any help greatly appreciated not a fan of burnt smelling electronics Lol!
Edward Pena I'm not sure if it will run a servo winch. Usually a servo winch is run off your transmitter from a three position switch. Because you need to go out, stop, and then back in. You don't want to keep burning up controllers it can get expensive. Hope this helps, thanks for checking it out.👌🏻👍🏻
@@kingstonrc329 I'm having the same problem the remote and receiver light flashes when I push the A button but the winch rope does nothing. But the B button makes the winch rope come out. Any advice?
NO instructions for the dang thing and plugs you don't need or want, you made it so simple , 1, 2, 3, works. thank you.
Marc Poletti Thank you very much. 😁 I appreciate it. 😎👍🏻

Ben Ramirez 😃 That's pretty cool man 👍🏻 Yeah this is a decent controller 👌🏻 for the money you can't beat it. Thanks for checking it out 👍🏻✌🏻
It's funny, most of my trucks have winches that aren't hooked up..great video! Very useful!

Felipe Vaiano No it’ll be fine you don’t have to cut it off. 👍🏻
@@kingstonrc329 Thank you very much, works great!

out of curiosity why not just run a shunt off the main battery? Is it not capable of operation at 12volts?
Stace Baker Yeah, I could do that but I'm not really sure if it can take 3s 🤷🏼♂️ so I just used a small 2s one. Thanks for checking it out sir, I appreciate it. 😃👍🏻
Do you know what the maximum voltage is for this setup?
R F I run it on 3s with no problems. Thanks for checking it out. 😉👌🏻👍🏻

Why mine just the b button work....
Must be a problem with the remote. Try getting another remote from the place you got it. That should fit it. 😉👍🏻

@@chrisdrawdy6500 Yeah it sounds like you definitely have a problem. My guess is it’s in the remote. But that’s just a guess. Hope you figure it out.
