Mine is not going to come apart. My son-in-law tried too. I think the only thing to do now is to cut it out and replace the whole works. The replacement paddle I was going to use came out of another old boat, but the plastic of the that paddle boat was broke to remove the peddles, paddle and all. That won’t come apart either. Darn….I’m out of ideas unless I get a whole new paddle and peddles and cut the metal to remove mine and put in a new one. I saw $200 for that. Don’t know if this old boat is worth that. Cut in the middle of the pipe we’re the paddle goes and remove the hole thing with the seals and all.If that doesn’t work I was going to use a leaf blower to propel the boat lol . A couple of cheep oars . Sorry you find them cheep all over the place good luck
I sure wish i could talk to you about this. I’m trying to replace the paddle on an older peddleboat. It’s just like yours. I cannot get the peddles out to remove that middle pipe to put the new paddle on. New paddle is not really new, but from another peddleboat. Any suggestions? I’ve put rust buster spray in there like crazy! I managed to remove all the screws from that shaft. That wasn’t easy, but sprayed them enough so that I could finally turn them. Any ideas? When I try to pull the pedals out like you did, it doesn’t seem at all like they are meant to come out. Thanks, Diane

It’s not easy pipe wrench on the pipe and a big hammer on the peddles hit it back and forth until it comes loose .I left my number on messenger
