    I added a big patio umbrella on a pivoting/swiveling mount between my seats.
    Protects from too much sun or rain, Aaannd... It sails!
    Followed your guide to mount the motor

    I’m so frustrated because i can’t find any sort of bracket that will clip on to the motor and connect the rod to steer. Can you please tell me where u got it from? Or how u made it? I’ve been to ten stores no one has clue what I’m trying to do. I don’t understand how to extend the silver rod it’s too short and what to use to connect it to the motor please help!!!!!

      Jason M absolutely. At the time I built this. I was more or less slapping it together. Figuring it out as I went. That’s how I build most of my projects. However if I still had this boat I would have absolutely done just that!

    • @ShoreGarage

      @@robertrodriguez6565 it is a transom. I made it from some pressure treated 2x4’s this allowed a solid mounting spot for the trolling motor.

    Hey man, have you ever thought about building a pontoon with 24" hdpe drain pipe? Menards sells a 24" x 20' section for ~400 bucks each, see SKU 6890612. I understand the ends need to be capped, and Home Depot sells them for 80 bucks each. Of course it all needs to be sealed and water tight, but that's not too hard to do.

    • @ShoreGarage
      @ShoreGarage  3 года назад +1

      Funny you say that I actually have 2 18”x20’ drain pipes that I was originally going to use but I ended up using 8 55 gallon plastic drums instead

    • @DerekSpeareDSD
      @DerekSpeareDSD 3 года назад

      @@ShoreGarage I see a swan as the emblem for it! Those barrels are actually a lot cheaper if you can get them locally and pretty much a lot easier to use. I may build a barrel pontoon one day myself.

    • @MoneyPitBoating

    • @DerekSpeareDSD
      @DerekSpeareDSD 2 года назад

      @@MoneyPitBoating that's a really good point! But pontoon boats don't go very fast anyhow, but yeah all those ribs and probably make some drag

      Depends on my motor, I use 3 different ones depending on the trip. With my 36lb I can get a good 4 hrs at 50%, with my 40lb 2hrs, my 55lb 1.5... And this is with a 86ah battery... If I use my 40 or 55 I will typically bring 2 batteries... This will give me a full day on the water in my boat, full gear, two passengers

      Jesie AMaya I wish I could. I unfortunately sold this little boat long before is started getting traction on RUclips. However. I simply just disconnected it from the rutter and made up a bracket and hose clamped it to the trolling motor and attached the linkage there. Very simple
