For those who wants to learn Japanese, don't be intimidated by other people who took so long to be fluent. You can learn fast if you want, if, you, want. I also am learning japanese. Let's says a level is separated into 36 chapters. if you learn one chapter each days, you will master one level in 36 days and one chapter a day is not hard to do. Yet, it's only one chapter a day. You can do two, or three if you are very determined. However, remember that it is important to USE what you have learnt. Speak with someone, make literature, play japanese mobile game, anything. This is important to prevent you from forgetting what you've learnt.
When I "paused" (actually gave up termporarily because I thought the internet alone isn't enough for me to learn japanese any further) learning japanese for 3 years I still watched japanese youtubers on a daily basis and sometimes I looked up on words they said I didn't understand but wanted to understand because of the content. Often words I only knew very theoretically and unclear sank in because they where used over those years in the content I was watching. Those three years I was still unconsciously learning and maintaining japanese in some way lol
I literally watched the first video yesterday and was like “oh it would have been so cool to see another video with him doing another quiz” and then this video was uploaded! 💕
The long-awaited update! Boomer has to speed-learn everything in the next two months before April, so even if he forgot some over the last year, prepare for a big jump! Thank you for this video. I'm about 5 months into learning Japanese and I'm very glad that I can somewhat answer 75% of the questions you asked boomer ^^.. This is somewhat very encouraging
I just found your videos and I love them! I’m from MD and have been taking Japanese for a little over a year. I’m jealous VA school taught in HS. Maryland schools only did Spanish and French. You sound like a native speaker! Having someone to practice with is key. Keep the videos coming. Maybe even some RUclips lessons (hint hint) 😊
I totally empathize with this whole scenario. I’m often on the receiving end of surprise Japanese pop quizzes. Pop quizzes are very difficult but the answers will slowly start to form in your mind. Good luck with your studies! がんばって!
Been waiting for this video a long time, glad you haven't forgotten about it... See you in two months hopefully with improved Japanese! Lets both study hard good luck Boomer!
ブーマーさん、頑張って!私も今日本語学校で勉強しています。 Take advantage of school. Don't be afraid to make mistakes. Right now I speak with some of my classmates (who can't speak in English) in broken Japanese, but we still are able to understand each other somehow. ロレッタさんと一緒なので、間違ったら、ロレッタさんに直してもらえますね。
Loretta is pretty!! ALSO I CAN SPEAK KOREAN to help me I kind of try to think in korean, I listen to Korean music and watch Korean movies (With subtitles) I also learn quotes and a few new words from k drama's I try to emers myself in Korean culture and the language to help me learn it
Woah I just rediscovered your channel! I used to watch your first videos (like six years ago???) when I was first starting out. I went back and watched them and it was a wave of nostalgia! Glad to see you're still doing well! Boomer needs to not be afraid of looking stupid and needs to just try speaking more. For example, you were trying to help him say something but he'd just nod and didn't repeat after you. I hope he feels less self-conscious about his Japanese soon and will let loose more. Japanese people are really forgiving so even if he messes up when speaking to Japanese people, it will be fine!
I’m not in contact with Japanese speaking people except for my mother. I’m so happy 😁 that when you speak “Nihongo” I can still understand 👍 keep up the awesome work
Wow, I see my japanese learning progress since I knew all of these! (I started 5 months ago and I have been learning kinda passively trying to pick up something from time to time) :D
A video bout Japan with description in Brazilian Portuguese (the country with the largest japanese-descendant community in the world). Smart! Liked it!
やったね。 この動画の日本語を分かる😀 。 I'm happy to see that I understand your Japanese without subtitles. It means I'm improving 😀 Thanks for the practice opportunity!
Lol @ the subtitles! I don’t know if someone did them for you or if RUclips did it automatically, but “Question” when Boomer said he understood the question was spelled “kwestion” 😂
Ahaha, the blank face Boomer gives is exactly how I feel everyday at work here in Japan! And it's been about 8 months thus far... Sure I'm finally beyond N5 after a year of studying, but still that feeling of be lost in translation still happens at least once a day....Argh. Fight through it , it does get better!!
You guys are so stunning!! In casual self-introduction, actually, Boomer can use “chan.” A bag doesn’t indicate specific gender items as Japanese doesn’t have muscular and female words like Spanish.
Awesome Boomer! Thank you Loretta! 💜☯️ I could actually understand and answer most of the questions! So glad I’m that far since I will be in Tokyo for the next three months .... self study .... now to figure out how to say that wwww わたしわ学 .... epic fail 😎
Hi kemushi and boomer😄 I have some questions about japanese courses. Next semester in september or october 2018 ı will go to japan to learn japanese actually this is my plan. Do you give me advise course that you knew or heard about? And, do you think before going to japan should ı have some level japanese? If ı should which level do you prefer? I am beginner 😅 For course ı need to take avaliable cost good teacher and learning style and good city. Please answer😊
oğuzhan çelikk In Japan you need to apply about 6 to 9 months in advance if you don't already have a visa, so please apply soon! The guys at Go Go Nihon can help you pick a program based on your goals/budget at no extra cost.
KemushiChan ロレッタ you are perfect thanks. So ı need to apply before 6 months ago at least and it is almost next month😅 Actually my country has some visa advance to travel but this cover short period ı think! THANKS for all videos. Moreover ı have last question what is the go go nihon they are blog or other thing?
oğuzhan çelikk It's a Japanese company that helps language schools make their application process easier and smoother. As a bonus service, they then help student applicants search for a good fit for free. I interviewed the staff in a video, search "go go nihon kemushichan" and it should pop up. 😃👌Thatll give you all the details.
BOOMERSS NIHONGO GANBATTE YOOOOOO !!! we rooting for u. Loretta san, thanx for sharing ur life in japan hoping their will be many more yearsssss !! Yoroshiku Onegaishimasu
Besides my teachers I don't get to experience good conversation so I'm finding that although I'm getting good at understanding japanese I struggle to open my mouth and form any sort of coherent reply. When he was trying to express that he understood but couldn't reply I was dead. Aye me too mate, me too.
@@kemushichan Thank you! I've enjoyed watching your story so much! I'm so close to present day videos I can almost taste it. Maybe two or three more nights of watching.
Boomer was like me at my Japanese-English conversation exchange over the weekend. My ear isn't developed well so it's hard to pick up words. I can say things, but can't pick up what my partner is saying. It's frustrating!
If you take a break from language learning and don't hear the language or practice it anymore, you forget it very easily. You wouldn't believe what damage it can give you if you don't study for a week
*Boomer is me everyday in my foreign language class literally*
Boomer's such a good sport

So how is your Japanese now
Even though I hardly understand Japanese, it always gives me joy to hear Loretta speak the language!

Yes, I am so glad you did an update video, I was waiting for this!
From a learning stand point this video was really helpful, thank you!!

"感じ読めるの?" I thought 感じ was the reading for "feeling" as in 『あ、その感じ』and kanji was 漢字
I'll have to fix in a bit!
I’m not in contact with Japanese speaking people except for my mother. I’m so happy 😁 that when you speak “Nihongo” I can still understand 👍 keep up the awesome work
Great job Boomer! Keep improving. We want to see you ace your next quiz!
Hello!! Love your videos! 😀 have a good day!

Boomer is such a good sport! Learning a new language is NOT easy! Keep up the good work.
ブーちゃんでも大丈夫ですよ(*´・ω・`)b 外国人が言うには、親しみを持ちます🎵
Too early to be outputting really, why doesn't he build up is input first then start to output?
日本語はいろいろ覚えることが多くて難しい(たいへん)ですからね・・((+_+))
ブーちゃん頑張れ!^^v
Hey how long did it take for you to learn Japanese?
I like it
wasn't nijuu "shichi" nichi better than "nana"? don't remember if it's actually a mistake though
G-ken Sansei You've opened a can of worms! Apparently this is a common point of debate, AND some people argue for nijuunanoka as well?! Oh boy...
How many languages can you speak?
You guys are so stunning!!
In casual self-introduction, actually, Boomer can use “chan.”
A bag doesn’t indicate specific gender items as Japanese doesn’t have muscular and female words like Spanish.
「私はぶーちゃんです。」、可愛いから大丈夫です!www.細かい所は気にせずに頑張りましょう!

What is the name of the song at the end of the video ? Is there anyone who knows ? 😳😳😶😶
Its on the description! 😭
"Beat Your Competition"
Study tips: study at the library instead of home. It will increase your focus and you'll get more done.
Wow, he was really practicing hard before he came! I think he did a pretty good job!
You're always so sweet!!!

Weird...it’s the 20th today...2 years later 😅
How time flies!😵
I loved playing along with the Kanji section! You can do it Boomer! Learn all that Japanese.
Seems like it should not really be a problem to be 100% fluent until the end of this year!
8:51 lol Relatable
This was a good practice for me as well😂
