    Good stuff JD, even if it's out of my "Zip Code". I can't stop myself from wondering, how did this obviously talented young guy go from remodeling an Airstream to a multi million dollar manufacturing business.
    I put a few decades in at an airplane company up north (betcha can't guess which one) And if I learned anything, I learned how much I didn't know. From strength & stress, fatigue issues, composites, interiors, wiring, adhesives, smoke and heat release of interior materials, vendor supply issues, and all the planning required to bring it all together. Engineering, quality, planning, vendors. Makes me tired thinking about it.
    I sure would like to take one of theses units for a weekend or two, or three or :(.

    After going thru owing several rvs, this is such a different level of detail that its not fair to compare to most others out there…. That said, dang I wish it werent out of my price range … i went to the website and started pricing, and even the ‘bare bones’ unit I cant afford, let alone all the options I would add… but thst said… you do get what ya pay for. I wish them the best success and hope that through time their production thruput can rise and costs come down…

    I think we are so used to RV's being built so poorly that when we see a properly built RV we thinks it's worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. This is an outstanding RV for sure, but the actual dollars when you add things up is still very excessive IMO. Appreciate the video.

    I suspect that an Air ride suspension would fall in line with the excellence they are achieving. The Australians are making a number of air ride systems that also work well in their off highway conditions. I see more and more Australian products, and influence, here in N. America, and rightly so. I think we have gotten used to disposable/short lifespan equipment. Living Vehicle reminds me of the Australian attitude of doing it right the first time.

  • @flipholbrook8444
    @flipholbrook8444 Год назад +1

    Definitely well planned and I applaud you for going the quality route. I do think the addition of an air-ride suspension would be a major plus since for a softer ride (No Jar) for bad roads and off road use. Air ride over independent torsion suspension would soften the ride and also allow for the torsion part to take over in the event of an air bag failure. Maybe check Kelderman Air Suspensions.

    • @BigTruckBigRV
      @BigTruckBigRV  Год назад +2

      I love the idea of an air ride suspension on these, but their primary focus was longevity and overall long-term reliability. Airbags are great, I have them on my truck, but I understand that they're focus led them away from that.

    This is brilliant Mathew. Loved the talk about the roof.Good Job Joanna. See what you can do with colors ya'll. Let's see how this LV creation of God's work through mankind (Joanna and Mathew Hoffman) can brightin a stealth USA'S day. Why does every Van Lifer have a white Van, when in so called, "third world" countries (where people are not suppose to be happy) there is color everywhere? Please give more exterior or interior color options. I liked the old colors you use to put on the back more than just the black color you have now. And, please decorate for Every video, or have a designer come in and make the place really feel like a home to different potential buyers. Less grey please. Put some green in every indoor scene. Plants, and more color around. You California folks are always so retro and hip and modern. The rest of the country has more color in it. And, I think everyone would like to see more videos of cooking and Living in the Living Vehicle. I'll tell you what, if you two beg me to, and the dowery is good enough, I will swear to Marry, and be Faithful to the LV Tribe forever and ever. And, I will promise to drive, and live in an LV Super HD to the far reaches of this country, and then Canada and South America, and to the West and East of this beautiful Planet Earth and to the Universe beyond (with friends of course). And, I will make great videos for daily shows online for you, so we all can see more Living Vehicles on the road in the future and the company can grow. I love LV! I'm serious guys. Please see my audition video for Stone Circle Films (Baring Sea Gold on NatG), for a Realty show pitch I made a few years ago called "Tee Pee BnB" on RUclips under the name "Satyr Mcknight". We didn't have the money to make the Sizzle Reel, but, they said "Greer is just the guy that needs to be on TV". Much love and good wishes to you Joanna and Mathew from SC. Rock On and Be Strong with LV!

    Clearly they're nice units. No doubt about that. You're spending a lot of video time on a tiny niche market, though. 99% of the people watching can't afford them and shouldn't try to. And the cost isn't necessarily completely LV's fault; products and raw materials are just too expensive these days. Hopefully people don't get themselves upside down trying to buy one when they can't afford it. Nice to see them but out of reach for most. Reading other comments it looks like several others feel the same. I suspect LV doesn't care, though, as their target is a small market and they aren't producing a large number of them anyway. You've definitely done a good thorough overview and detailed look at them, though.

Throw in some insane amount of lithium batteries and solar panels but it’s still not worth 8 videos for a utility trailer

    • @BigTruckBigRV
      @BigTruckBigRV  Год назад +8

      That's not being honest. If that's your view on this RV then you obviously are the one that needs to either understand engineering and design better.... Or just quality in general. Just because it's beyond most people's budget, including mine, doesn't mean that the quality and work don't equal value.
