Been following LV since 2017. Shopping to find something close to the quality build also since then. Nothing in the RV industry comes close. Although Outdoors RV is at the top of that list, they still are miles away. Luckily I found a pristine 1997 Aluma-Lite Rambler and I am lucky that it comes closer than anything else in the industry. Not as modern, not as sophisticated, but hey it's from 97' but for under 20K I have an amazing foundation to modify and make it a fun project I can grow with and add to over time to make it as off-grid as possible that will long outlive me. This era of Rambler even soldered every single 12V wired connection! BUT...... If I ever win the lottery, LV will have my wallet open to them. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their philosophy and builds. - The best of the best for sure!

I can build this for $100K comments are made by people who don't know how much the batteries, invertors, solar, and power management alone costs. But if you can, do it and show your receipts for all of us so we can do the same.

Really liked these points made about " I can do it for less" used to think that way, realized too much research, too much time sourcing goods, too long a learning curve, too much sweat and aggrivation before you actually enjoy.

I’ve never owned an RV before, and I try to buy American 🇺🇸 built quality whenever I purchase something. I’ll never afford this brand, but if someone is looking for that “buy once cry once” quality purchase, this is definitely the only unit anyone needs to buy. Thank you JD for enlightening us about this product, even though we all could only dream about owning one.

The price of these vehicles did not make sense to me at first when I considered them in the context of an RV. However, when considering LVs as examples of long term, highly engineered, ruggedly constructed, off grid capable dwellings, then it seems to be more understandable. Do you think LV will consider making units with less overall capability but still maintain the long term durability and quality of construction? For example, there are probably many people who would prioritize and appreciate the very high quality construction but don't need, or desire, a battery bank that can power Manhattan or a solar array the size of a tennis court. A high quality, but less capable system may suit many people's needs and be slightly less expensive. Your videos are entertaining and educational. Thank you for helping me to become slightly less ignorant about the world of RVs. Strong work.

Love this product. TY for sharing so many details. I currently live full time in a Solitude and love it. I am looking to downsize even more one day and LV is very high on my list. To all of those who have comments about price, one thing to keep in mind. Some of us live full time in our RV’s. Instead of buying another $3-400K house, I’d personally rather have this that I can move and live where the weather is currently best. This is not for everyone but those of us who are committed to the nomadic way, its an investment well spent, in my opinion. Again, thanks JD for sharing with us.

Too true! I lived (with a decently large family) for 2+ years in a cheap Forest River 5th wheel... it was pretty bad ... it terms of quality of workmanship, parts, logic in throwing things together... so bad. This would make it much more doable and enjoyable!

I am a firm believer that a person with good skills, expertise and professional experience should get paid top dollar for their productivity.
After all ,it takes years to get to that level.
But, im thinking that if this company moved their operations out of California with all the super high taxes, and regulations costs, etc. there,, they could possibly lower the costs and increase productivity while keeping the integrity and quality of their product.
If im not mistaken,,, $ 300,000 - $ 800,000 dollars isn't a whole lot of money in California.

Be nice if someone made a RV for bigger families, perhaps fold up in wall beds, not Murphy beds, take too much space.
Lets say 3 double xl beds that support up to 400lb each.
Each bed with its own privacy area, or small room. Then fold up against the wall for daytime and travel or convert to sofas.

I'm hoping the GT has options for something like that, looks like it could have a mid-bunk room and then their L-couch bed in the back with the "eurobed" above it... and ofcourse the front master bedroom... might actually fit my family!

Good day sir, I've been looking at your channel for a couple of yrs now, to educate myself on RVs etc... I tried to contact the LV company..heres the thing... the owners are talking about their custom build process... so why cant they build custom floor plans when they are presented with that level of interest from a consumer? Can you present this question directly to the owners? Id like to speak with them directly VS their office staff.
