Now that I’m older, this song makes me really think about my late wife. I promised she would never be lonely and was right there when breast cancer won the war. I do remember her. Often.
That whole album ROCKS. “ Youth Gone Wild”, and “ 18 and life” are huge songs you guys should check out. Love you guys!! Always the very Beautiful Asia, and always the Gentleman BJ! Much love and light, from my family to yours. Keep doing what you guys do, cuz it keeps all of us coming back for more!!💙💙☀️☀️💙💙☀️☀️
All of us late 80s kids know EVERY word to all of these ballads. We can sing them to you! Lol These singers had crazy vocals and were amazing guitarist + drummers. I miss the talent.
Sebastián Bach has a great voice and can sing almost any kind of music he wants. I haven't listened to this song in years. Glad you did this and all ways much love to both of you.
What kind of love? Growing up my family was friends with another family and we did EVERYTHING together. Holidays, cookouts, camping... they had a daughter a year older than me. She was PERFECT in my eyes. Lacking confidence at 14, 15, 16 I loved her from a distance. Then our parents had a falling out. Lost contact. For a year I grew out of my shell until I bumped into her one day at the mall. We fell INSTANTLY in love. We started a relationship against her Fathers wishes. For 7 months we had a whirlwind romance. Spent every free minute together sneaking around. One night her Dad woke her up, drove her to the airport and sent her 2K miles away to her Moms... 34 years we both stumbled through life... failed relationships, careers, etc... Never losing sight of how much we loved each other and how happiness was stolen from us. Thanks to Social media we finally found each other. 52 years old and we couldn't be more in love.... Thats how I relate to this song.
Every 80s rock hair bands had a love ballad or 2. Scorpions, still loving you, Motley Crue, home sweet home, poison, every Rose has its thorn etc. this was skid rows ballad. Definitely a good one
@@GrannyMetalheadTV agreed... kind of. But in the 80s they dressed as a hair band, sounded like a hair band...: so they should be lumped into the hair and category, at least for that decade.
Love this band…when hair bands put down the hairspray. “Monkey Business” is a great one , Sebastian Bach voice is amazing. I’ve been dying to see Asia react to “when the children cry” by White Lion, amazing track I know she would love it. Pretty please.
This song from Skid Row is one of the best and as for power ballads goes is one of the best ever. I’d recommend watching the rather touching musical video that goes with this song because your missed a subtitle cue about his “love” had died. Also if you liked this, listen to Skid Rows Wasted Years, which is the only other song to match I Remember You in “passion”
Not underrated at all. Everyone knew what a powerhouse he was back then. Underratef today maybe since he has been flying under the radar last 20 years but back then in the 80s and 90s.. very highly regarded as the best voice and looks and songcoaches praise him for his technuiqe and range.
Sebastian Bach was a great frontman. Saw them at the “bottle incident” show in Springfield, MA. Was there to see Aerosmith, but was super impressed by Skid Row. Even got to meet some of the guys after the show while they were looking to bail Sebastian outta jail. Ahhhhhh....good times.🤔
Awesome reaction I've always loved that song and was a huge skid row fan, I saw them live in 89 with that album the song came off and in 91 with their 2nd album which was just as good, the singer was Sebastian Bach 🙂❤️
This song and Album came out at the tail end of the 80's. They are and awesome band from that era for sure. Sabastian Bach, the lead singer, has an amazing voice. I loved y'all's reaction, from BJ saying it's a forever love song to watching Asia's heart melt without saying a word. Love y'all and your channel, definitely one of my favorites :-). Just saw that Skid Row is back together and putting out a new album. So cool.
Man this is one of those rock ballads that you’ll never forget where you where the first time you heard it!👌😎👍great band and beautiful song that whole album is awesome! God we had great music in the 80s!
Welcome the incredible pipes of Sebastian Bach of Skid Row! Your reaction to his vocals is exactly how mine was as a teen in the late 80s/early 90s. Sebastian had the best vocals in Hard Rock imo and their songs had substance. Please react to Wasted Time by Skid Row which was written about Steven Adler’s (former drummer of Guns n’ Roses) heroin addiction and was a personal plea by Sebastian to his friend who was losing his battle against that devastating drug. I had already bought and loved their debut album but when Wasted Time came out I rushed to go get their second album just to put that song on repeat. It soon became my favorite song of theirs for many reasons.
I'll comment on this one before the video even starts... GREAT SONG. I'm sure Asia is going to love it. This song always brings the feels to me 'cause of reminding me of an exgf that I'll always fondly miss and cherish. Sebastian Bach is an amazing rock singer. Bach, Axl Rose, and Ozzy are top notch rock vocalists.
As a black chic in the 90s, i was mad3 fun of for liking "white" rock music.... I'm so happy your generation dont have that ignorance.... SKID ROW ROCKS🤟🏿🤟🏿🤟🏿
After your reaction to this, Love you guys. Thanks for sharing this. This was passionate and powerful. Love Skid Row. The lead singer Sébastien Bach had a powerful voice.
his name is sebastian bach and there has NEVER been a voice like his - powerful, emotional, clear, AMAZING. to this day i still cry when i hear this song. i can't help it and i can't stop it. i also always loved how the intro and the outro are the same, just quietly lures you in and then tucks you away.
This song is timeless, brings me back to the bonfires on the “the landing” overlooking the water we had in my teenage years, not drinking beer or smoking pot, lol. 20-30 of us. Great times.
Wife here..Skid Row takes me right back to Junior High School...A few years ago my Husband reminded me of this song...He sang it and played it on guitar..I cried.. Beautiful memory..Thank You!!
This song reminds me of the summer of 1996, a girl named Jackie Armstrong Cato, she stole my heart. I spent my 27th birthday with her on the beaches of Grand Haven MI, she ended up breaking my heart. I am 50 now. This song always makes me think of her. She was such a beautiful person! She went into Law Enforcement and moved to Florida where she still lives today. I think of her often.
My first real love and I would always go play pool in this really small town and we would spend hours there and this would always be the first song I put on the jukebox. We were young in love in the mid 90's. Hearing this always takes me back in time. ❤️
Sebastien Bach is lead singer of Skid Row on this song. He replaced original lead singer Matt Fallon. I think he was only 18 when he joined but his vocals were incredible.Sebastien also had acting roles in Trailer Park Boys and Gilmor Girls. This song is about a guy who just can't let go of someone he loves dearly and the memories of her pain him. Awesome reaction Asia and BJ ❤️
YAY I am so happy y'all are reacting to Skid Row " I Remember You" !!! Sebastian Bachs vocals are AMAZING!!! You guys rock !! Thank you for your great channel!!
I've been with my fiance for 10 years. 3 years ago when I got home from my mom's Funeral My fiance was very sick and needed to go to the hospital by ambulance. She needed open heart double bypass surgery. She was given a year and a 1/2 to live. She passed away November the 29th 2021. This is one of her favorite songs and she woukd listen to it all the time singing along with it. I just watched this reaction and that's all I could remember.
@4:30, ish ...The lead singer is The one and only Sebastian Bach!! You definitely need to watch the MV for this, they're some of the great storytellers of that time!! And he's got one of the best voices! And daumn he's hottt.. too!!😂 lolol
My first real boyfriend handed me a walkman and a pair of headphones at church camp in 1993, and that was the first time I heard this song ❤ Still think of him every time I hear it…
Sebastian Bach….definitely can sing and passion is something I hear throughout, acoustic to ripping chords to solos back to acoustic. ❤️🎼❤️ my fav by Skid Row👍
This is what you miss when you don't watch the official video but the song is about love lost. The girl dies at some point and he ends up homeless with just a handful of pictures and his memories of her
Now this is scary... Hair bands were my sisters 2nd favorite after classic rock. Skid row was for sure on her list. Thank you guys in more ways than you know.
I’m late seeing this but the actual video tells the story so beautifully. It’s such a great song, I’m happy you guys did this one, I just feel like you would get so much more out of it if you’d done the video. Sebastian Bach is one of the greatest vocalists EVER but especially in the 80’s power ballad era, plus he’s freakin gorgeous. Love you guys✨
BJ … the year was 1989 that the song came out on the album … Asia … the songs about remembering a past relationship that just ended … cool show to the both of you’s … from 🇨🇦❤️🙏
This has to be one of the top love songs of all time, well rock ballads anyway. I always took it as a love lost song, and it always hits me in the feelz.
I love that you say this song is basically timeless. I would agree. The sound does give it away that it is a late 80's song, but lead vocalist Sebastian Bach's bel canto style with that incredible range, and grit on demand... it just becomes a work of art that transcends time. Loved the review!
The song itself is about lost love. In the beginning of the song, it says something about wash the memory of you. If you watch the video that goes with it, it shows him looking at her picture and at the end he is dropping the pictures one by one.
Fantastic band/song. The guitarist, Scotti Hill lives (or at least did live) here in Sarasota, FL for a while and I used to see him at the local bars periodically. Dude is still a crazy talented guitarist and has some of the wildest stories you'll ever hear!
Can't believe you listened to this iconic song for the first time. Sebastian the leadsinger is still a famous guy and beloved artist. Skid Row was even recognized in good old germany those days. great band and this is their love ballad- no doubt. try "18 and live" as well. and pls give the original video a try. you seem to be native speakers and don't need the written lyrics to get the story told.. love you guys.
Sebastian had one of the most incredible rock voices. So powerful, could be thrashy one second and beautiful the next. Not to mention the lung compacity he had.
This song always brings a little tear to my eye. To me this is a song where 1 of the life partners has departed this earth. "through it all we kept the promise that we made"
I was fifteen when they put this album out, and I've been a fan for life. And this song is their most requested song. We were so spoiled with great music back then!
Hey guys! Great stuff!! So I remember this video when I was playing metal guitar in my garage band days and this came out at a time when videos where really telling as much if the story as the words. So in this particular song, he sings from the perspective of a homeless man who’s lady love has passed away and he’s letting her know that even though he’s destitute and on the streets, he’ll never forget the good times and her love. It’s very emotional and it’s a good choice! Keep up the great work guys!
Now that I’m older, this song makes me really think about my late wife. I promised she would never be lonely and was right there when breast cancer won the war. I do remember her. Often.
So sorry for your loss
I'm so sorry Geoffrey. I understand after losing my husband to suicide, this song hits my heart everytime. It's so beautiful.
So sorry for your loss. It takes me back to my first love. While it didn’t last he will always be special to me.
She had you when she slipped away.
So you kept your promise, and she wasn’t lonely in the end because she had you, and you had her in your heart.
So sorry for your loss
That whole album ROCKS. “ Youth Gone Wild”, and “ 18 and life” are huge songs you guys should check out. Love you guys!! Always the very Beautiful Asia, and always the Gentleman BJ! Listen to this guy, he knows what he’s talking about, you definitely should check out those two songs.
You nailed it with those two!
I agree Chris Stone
Underrated comment. Those two songs are some of skid row's best songs
Don't forget "midnight/tornado", the album closer.
Sébastien Bach is an amazing vocalist. Best hair in the 80's. This whole album was all good. They were awesome in concert too.
Better hair than ANY woman had. Always ticked me off! LoL The guys also seem to get the lashes too!
Yeah to see Sebastian is to remember him!! I wish they did the official video & not the lyrics vid.
LOVED NTHIS ALBUM
They were. I saw them open for Guns in 1991.
best looking man ever
All of us late 80s kids know EVERY word to all of these ballads. We can sing them to you! Lol These singers had crazy vocals and were amazing guitarist + drummers. I miss the talent.
Sebastian Bach is one of the best singers from that era. This album was released in 1989.
This song takes me back to summers back in the day with my best friend. We used to rock out to skid row, tesla, and too many to name. R. I. P. Drew
Sebastián Bach has a great voice and can sing almost any kind of music he wants. I haven't listened to this song in years. Glad you did this and all ways much love to both of you.
Well than you need to play it again.
Sebastian Bach is an amazing singer. You know someone is good if they are good enough to perform on Broadway.
Absolutely love this band. Sebastian Bach is an amazing vocalist!! I have seen him as a solo act live. absolutely amazing
I saw him in the lead of Jesus Christ Superstar and he blew it out of the park. Amazing.

Those are great. Another Motley Crue Ballad my favorite by them "Without you".
Yeah the love ballad was a new form of music.
The Scorpions weren't a hair band. They started making music in the 60's.

@@MetalMcfly my correction Wasted Years. The latter is a Maiden song! Thanks for the correction!
Wasted Time lol. Dang!
Sebastian Bach was a very under appreciated singer. Dude has pipes! Great video!
He still sings and tours today... but totally agree with you a trillion percent. Sebastian is a gem.
