You have to think things through in those levels, and it's hard to make a fool proof strategy. There's a defined line of what you are and aren't able to do.

I'm sure part of it is the skill of the person playing, but it seems like once you're under the range of Motherwill's main cannons, there's very, very little actual defenses to stop you. Making it be not very challenging tends to cheapen the feeling of success and victory, you know? Most people, I find, feel better at achieving something when doing so is challenging; it's why no one gives a damn about Achievements/Trophies in video games that you get just for playing the campaign/story missions.
Shenaldrac 1. its on normal difficulty. on hard mode theres a next escorting it. and both said next and motherwill spam missiles like no tomorrow making it very very difficult to just go, stop for a second and shoot at the missile launchers/main cannons since by that point youve been hit with like 100 missiles. 2. The briefing explicitly says that damaging the outside cannons and missile launchers causes a back feed resulting in internal fires, which eventually reach the core and the ammo supplies causing it to well break. again as it said in the briefing it said "its pretty pooly designed, but that kind of sloppy work is expected of them." which is really a funny way of saying they too messed up a bit on the design of the mission/level XD since it would be impossible to kill this thing without such a weakness.
Technically the game held your hand during Armsfort fights, to make you the protagonist seem strong. In reality it would be impossible for any NEXT to single-handedly take on the Boss Armsforts as observed in the intro. Since White Glint took heavy damage just getting close to Motherwill.
I gotta ask, is it even feasible to be a big-ass, bulky, strapped all over with armor and guns Next? Cuz whenever i used to play this game's multiplayer, and watching a few pro matches on youtube, Speed seems to be the meta
The first Armored Core game I really enjoyed. The previous ones controls were too clunky and the missions too boring to keep me motivated. This one hasn't fixed control issues entirely but it is playable and the presentation is awesome.

Years ago, 15 failures in this mission and I gave up. I think it had to do with my part selection rather than strategy. Regardless I just copied a complete file and enjoyed vs mode without frustrating boss fights.
you can use "bazooka" so it doesn't drain your energy and go full flying modification. I did just that and it's pretty easy until I had to fight NEXT on hard mode but still, I got S on every mode.

2. The briefing explicitly says that damaging the outside cannons and missile launchers causes a back feed resulting in internal fires, which eventually reach the core and the ammo supplies causing it to well break. again as it said in the briefing it said "its pretty pooly designed, but that kind of sloppy work is expected of them." which is really a funny way of saying they too messed up a bit on the design of the mission/level XD
since it would be impossible to kill this thing without such a weakness.
Technically the game held your hand during Armsfort fights, to make you the protagonist seem strong. In reality it would be impossible for any NEXT to single-handedly take on the Boss Armsforts as observed in the intro. Since White Glint took heavy damage just getting close to Motherwill.
pokeng And depending on which side you took, you squash Wuhite Glint like a bug.
At least thats what I did.
Damn what an intro. Wish we could do something like that in AC6. That’ll be a cool way to start a mission.
"Destroy the weaponized mining ship" in AC6 Chapter 1 is quite close to that.
NEXTS were such amaxing Core. With the recently annouced AC VI I'm hoping for options like the NEXTS
This is one hell of a way to train both instinct and reaction time 🤣
I recall playing early iPhone games just like this.
Armored Core always had the HARDEST name for their cool shit. Spirit of Motherwill just sounds hard AF.
We made it bois
I remember this mission, it was awesome
AC gameplay is great but the soundtracks in this game is LEGENDARY. I could listen to the tracks all day man
That dragonslayer is so hard to use. You did good
I gotta ask, is it even feasible to be a big-ass, bulky, strapped all over with armor and guns Next? Cuz whenever i used to play this game's multiplayer, and watching a few pro matches on youtube, Speed seems to be the meta
So this is Armored Core
I wonder what new From fans are going to think of from the change of pace after Elden and Dark Souls
Welcome to Armored Core, where everything looks cool and the writing doesn't matter.
@CyphrSonic I didn't have an adequate energy reserve to get me all the way there, and I found it more effective to QB in terms of dodging fire.
The first Armored Core game I really enjoyed. The previous ones controls were too clunky and the missions too boring to keep me motivated. This one hasn't fixed control issues entirely but it is playable and the presentation is awesome.
You must have used type a controls
ikr at first i thought this was the worst AC, then i got used to the controls. This game was by far the best mecha game, its even more fluid than ZOE.
very underrated game. Most of my friends only play the mainstream titles and hated it, but once I overcame the skill cap way back when at the age of 8 or 9 (i was completely obsessed with mechs at the time), I enjoyed hte hell out of it.
@@mustysmells817 It is the worst AC
@@kamikeserpentail3778 why
Do you guys think XxCODAzzazinxX still plays Call of Duty?
They definitely took inspiration from this for the new story trailer for AC6
The briefing on this version is way cooler than ac6
Years ago, 15 failures in this mission and I gave up. I think it had to do with my part selection rather than strategy. Regardless I just copied a complete file and enjoyed vs mode without frustrating boss fights.
Use to love multi-player on AC and the laser on your back that looked like wings
英語のブリーフィングカッコよ…///
😭 seeing the white glint & that terrible interface again brings back memories
It's not terrible
It's special
I can't believe you're not scared just boosting normally over that thing

Wow, they seriously did suck at translating this game.
lol
+Echo7099 Unless you're being really racist.
Lol, wow xbox...
huh?
The games were kinda crap to start with, no level of translation is going to fix that.
Now thats something that i feel like Ac6 is missing. Missiles with an impact behind. Not statswise, but sound design i mean.
The Strider's forgotten big sister
This reminds me of monster hunters massive elder dragon hunts.
Amazing the BFF engineers could design a walking city but doesn't know what bulkheads are
Who could imagine that game was directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki!
you can use "bazooka" so it doesn't drain your energy and go full flying modification. I did just that and it's pretty easy until I had to fight NEXT on hard mode but still, I got S on every mode.
The briefing gives me flashbacks to Ace Combat 4 for some reason...
Awesome.
Now this was podracing!
The hard part is just getting our ac to lock onto the right target lol
Never played any of the Armoured cores but this looks like Classic Fromsoft gimmick fight like Yohrm and Rykard.
So this is idea before Radahn in Elden Ring? same vibe lol
best spectacle boss from soft has ever made.
I know nothing about Armored Core but it looks like BattleTech mixed with Ace Combat and a big spoonful of Metal Gear for flavor.
I'm interested.
Something something strider
Oh what a waste blowing that up.
There must be a way to infiltrate and capture it.
I cant believe I lived to see the day that these graphics became outdated
this vid is gonna blow lol. fromsoft fan here never played armored core. this vid right here has me super geeked for whats coming
The AC Series is absolutely amazing. You won't be disappointed.
Nostalgia hitting me like a nuke rn
I miss this game!!!
And that thing keeps wiping me out much to my humiliation.
I was wondering what was your load out on the mission.
I personally just have rockets and missiles galore and what other were using always interest me.
It was cheaper than the grenades I tend to use, fuck waiting for a lock on on that level yikes
