For Jamie, maybe they can do something like G? G can do some of his power up moves by doing EX move at 0 level, so a Jamie that can breakdance / Dive Kick or Command Grab by spending Drive Meter could be a good idea or completely broken ? I don't known.
One of the best ideas I heard in a while and it's still too much for Jamie looool. But don't feel bad none of us know what should be done with Jamie. We're just waiting for the day Capcom accepts to make him Top tier.

As a Jamie main, I wish getting him to 4 drinks was actually worth all the oki/neutral sacrifice. He should become like Jealous Rage A.B.A. and becomes an absolute offense monster if he's gonna lose the powerup at Round Start anyway. OR...for every Drink he has he gets a half-bar of Super at the next Round Start, so at least getting all those drinks in don't go completely to waste.

What are you talking about? Chun has been the target of numerous dumb nerfs since SF4. It's not even that she's nerfed, but the things that made her good in the past are gone now and have been stolen by buttface Cammy particularly her walkspeed and her Hazanshu's ability to counter projectiles, apply pressure and use in combos are now in Cammy's Quick Spin Knuckle.

With Gief’s mp target combo the thing still whiffs on second hit at unreasonable ranges if it becomes more unsafe the consistency on hit to get a full confirm needs to be buffed AGAIN to make it confirm more consistently rather than really guessing if it’s gonna connect or not
Grappler history. If only the other two got the same treatment as her. It's such a shame too because she's such a unique and cool character but the way the devs keep neglecting her is very questionable and feels biased
The Blanka change going against system mechanics fits the character honestly. He is the only character with a divekick who can do it from a back jump. Lily used to be able to but they considered that a bug and removed it, so it's only Blanka that can break the rules.
I genuinely think so many Ken players would drop him with those jinrai changes. Not like it's the biggest nerf, but Ken players would cry from the rooftops at not having a safe pressure ender to buffer into.
Hey Kimberly main here. I don't want her to have an invincible ex Tatsu because as of right now she could convert it into LV2 and a disgusting mid screen +4 strike/throw afterwards. That is way too much. Instead i would love if they would walk further down the 234LP road. It was buffed so it can be used as a footsies tool and gives a followup with good spacing but it still has horrible scaling. Cancelling into LV3 almost seems like a waste. 234LP should reward you more if you place it well, whiff punish with it or use it as a trade tech followup. Maybe Capcom can dial back some of that scaling
Dhalsim needs float hurtbox fixed to match the visuals. Currently you can be floating well above the guy's head, and you can get hit by di, and so many things that don't visually connect.
I've wanted EX Drink since the beginning but I don't want or need two levels. I just want a hit of Armor so i can parry a sonic boom while drinking....

For Ryu this is definitely a selfish useless buff but I wish they would make air EX Tatsu launch higher so he can land a level 1 after it. Currently,no matter what you do after a big combo using that as an ender the enemy launches too far and hits the ground too fast for it to connect so as a combo junkie I'd like more fun for him
Man that AKI change is sorely needed. The hitbox for her HP Lash is so wonky it's insane, not even on jump-ins either. Sometimes it'll shave Giefs chest hair and he'll be fine but then on some Devil's Reverse entries it'll hit Bison on the head in a different timeline. That is if it hits him at all.
4:02 Maybe if they use Broskis idea, they already have the drink animation from the drink follow up after the HK -> back HK -> long delay punch target combo at LVL 4 drink. It's only 2 frames longer than regular drink, but also moves you back. I think they can either keep it like that but maybe make it 60 frames (right now it's 52) just to justify the fact that once that activates, it's like a mini command backlash that give jamie two drinks. And even when he is at LVL 4 drink, will literally be a 1 drive gauge bar command backdash, as he will probably recover one bar from the two he spent on the EX. Edit: TBH idk cause theres a lot layers on this move. Just an example, a 60 FRAME BACKDASH sounds usless, keep in mind Ed's backdash from charged flicker is only 31 frames so imagine double that. Again it is 2 drinks but idk, just buff Jamie 🙏
For kimberly i think restoring can between rounds would be my pick fs. Giving her more opportunities to use can outside the corner would make her gameplan more interesting and mid screen set ups usable.
For Chun I think to add more to the level 1,add more hitstun so she is able to get closer for Oki,but nerf damage scaling by increasing it for her level 2 to compensate

It's not an outright nerf, but it gives you more way to interact with his offense. That's kinda what they did with Bison though. Reducing pushback makes it so that he can't create spacing traps as easy as he could before, but it doesn't make the special move any less stupid. Marisa - Changing Gladius like that kinda neuters Scutum though. Scutum having an extra point of armor isn't something so important that would still make it the preferred reversal. I would say that a better change for her is making charged jHP and jHK cause tumbling state on hit. It's still too small, but at least makes previous change make sense. Ed - I agree, but how come more Eds doesn't use this? EW, Leshar, Momochi, Tachikawa, Brine, they all just dash and go for a throw. This option is bonkers, but for some reason no one uses it... regarding kimberly, if she doesn't get invul reversal then they should remove Rashid's invul DP for consistency. They're both mix up heavy character but then kimberly has lower dmg, no invul DP, no utility level 2, makes no sense imo
@@disonalvan Literally the point of having different characters in a videogame is to provide variety. They dont need to nerf everyone to have the same bad tools they need to give different characters a variety of unique strengths.
May I also suggest one system change that during combos EX specials force the same drive cooldown that DRC does so you can't do 2 ex in a combo and then go into oki with like 3.5 bars still online.
The only thing that makes me worried about the rashid change is that its possible that he doesnt get anything after m spike > lvl2 if they neutral get up. An increase in speed might mean you can't push them out of the way to get the strike throw mix. But maybe it can be worked around idk
Both those games are great! I promise not everyone thinks they aren't "real" fighting games but the overall SF community is great and the game is super fun when you get into it, especially the drive system.

As a Manon player I feel like your ed change would be huge. Getting in against a flicker spamming ed is pain. They’d at least have to represent the back sway cancel
I'm not expecting anything huge like throw loops being removed or any character to be destroyed. As a Marisa players, only thing I want for her is for scutum to not leave her in a mix up when she lands it. Let her get a light confirm on hit even if they scale it.
To remove throw loops, all they need to do is give you 4f wakeup throw protection. It's very unlikely that it would happen in this patch, but if they don't want to go through and regulate frames and distances of every character, this would be the lazy way.
Every jamie player has a different idea for him lol, but we all agree something would be nice. Ex drink is a pretty common idea, but longer animation would make it useless. Normal drink after a knockdown is still not super safe, especially against fast DRs; longer animation just means it’s never getting used. My dream is that dive kick and bakkai are not locked behind drinks but the ex versions are. That or the moves get improved someway with the drinks. There’s no reason for these to be locked behind drinks when Cammy has better versions of those moves with no resources.
I appreciate that Chun buff, I always forget how much less it does compared to the average level 1. I figured it's because it has some extra utility as an anti-air.

Tbh, I'd rather have less pushback on Manon's lp, than being able to do counterhit into medium. Realistically the dream buff is a 6-frame medium, which is the best of both worlds, and a consistently good punish to drive reversal, but I'll legit just take the pushback buff if I couldn't be greedy lol.
I think another change for akuma that i think it fair is his hashogeki should be recognizable the version he used in other way that is not the startup like jinrai kicks where u can tell by audio ques by yeah that is also fine
The gief nerf is way more significant than it seems because a very common situation for gief is drive rush stand mp into strike/throw mixup, and the 2nd hit of the tc is usually the most reliable strike option at the ranges youd tend to go for this at... ...however if thats all we got hit with ill be getting on my knees wether its for jesus or for capcom
to get rid of throw loops, its very easy, KOF has been doing it for many years, that is wake up chars to gain a few frames of throw inv. i suppose capcom can make that normal throws only, command throws still works
4:30 His level two should allow him to hold two drink stocks after use at max after the install is done. Or some sort of adjustment with the level two it would help with his pacing throughout the rounds. Idk
I hope they go with the Akuma nerf Broski suggested. It's annoying how easy he can get out of the corner w/ Demon Flip, it's basically a meterless version of Ken's season 1 EX air tatsu which had like no recovery
I think for Ed, only Medium Psycho Flicker should get the DI nerf With regular throw spacing in corner, Light Flicker does not connect. As well as this, you have to meaty Flicker *insanely* precisely in order for it to beat DI on wakeup. *And* with the existence of PP, or waiting to EX DP after Ed drags you in, his options on wakeup, while still strong, are fairly limited as is. With only nerfing Medium, he has to be a lot riskier from extended ranges, which would add to the guessing games and actually be more fun to play with. I definitely don't disagree with the punish, but hurting his light and ex psycho flicker in neutral and making him even weaker to DI than he already is would be awful to play with. Honestly I'd rather get rid of the Dream Combo than have to deal with randomly Drive Impacting players being rewarded with a third to even half of my health just for trying to play in my range. The amount of times I lose games from whiffing a DP or my opponent using DI against my high commitment hit confirms is infuriating.
I know this is a "REACH" lol but i really hope they improve or change Modern Dalsim specifically, I hate having my antii-airs mapped to the same button that puts out the moves that are super jump vulerable.

Thing I want is a universal increase to "X invul" frames. There's so many "air invul" that loses to jump ins and "projectile invul" that gets clipped by projectiles. It's idiotic and I loathe it
Nice video Broski! 4:24 While I agree that we shouldn’t take out uniqueness I feel that Jamie’s true problem is that he doesn’t stand out far enough. It feels like this characters has a constant tug of war between being a accessible rival to Luke, the 3rd iteration of the Fei-Long function, and himself the tricky drunken character. Not only are his versions of his lineage’s moves just not great in a vacuum, two whole other characters have better ingame verisons of the rekka and divekick. Jamie has a whole unique mechanic of recovering drive gauge that is locked off to a part of the match where he should already be running over the other character. I’d honestly trade in some of his generic street fighter strengths for more meter gain gimmicky ones. Of course my problems come from someone who has seen and played 4-6, newer players playing him aren’t gonna have my specific issues and I don’t even think Capcom “made him wrong” as that’d be a really dumb and self important thing ti say. He’s my favorite new character they’d ever made and idc if he stays low tier but I want to lose as “Jamie the low tier” and not “Bad Cammy/Fei-Long”
@ sure! To be clear I don’t think that Jamie is Fei Long 2. So I probably should have put at the end Cammy/Twins to make it more clear. But I only bring up Fei to emphasize that Jamie is inspired by 3 previous characters and has none of their strength’s within the context of his own game. He’s not absurdly safe like Yang nor has the afterimages, he doesn’t bulldoze people like Yun, he has to space his rekkas like Fei but they are awful on block and DI prone. Yes design wise and lore wise he is mostly taking from the twins but all 3 take from Fei so I only bring it up as a reference point to show strictly within a gameplay sense he’s just a worse version of 3 other people and a whole other character in the game is just him without restrictions. Animations, his design, theme, personality of course are all his own and are 🔥
As a Chun player, a buff I’ve been wanting is to give OD hazanshu a 2 frame faster startup so that 4hp will naturally combo into it. This is because right now OD hazanshu is pretty useless unless you’re using it for fireballs, but even then it’s not that good. Then again, I’m not really sure if this would be too strong or if she really needs it cause she isn’t that bad right now. Capcom will probably end up doing something like letting the second part of OD legs to cancel into lvl 3 however.
Kim’s never getting her invincible OD back. They buffed her a while ago by letting it combo into her lv2. That was pretty much the nail in the coffin for that dream. No way they let any character get away with 3k damage off a reversal. Akuma can’t even do that. Reverting that specific buff for an invincible reversal is an interesting debate. Essentially trading offense and damage for defense on a character with the worst neutral in the game anyway. I’d personally prefer better frame data on v edge. Make the light version as degenerate as scissor kick. Let Kim have something annoying that doesn’t risk getting her killed.
Yes Kim had invincible reversal in the beta, but she couldn't cancel into level 2 super. Who in this game can get a reversal and combo like that? Jp kinda I guess. Bison’s sHP does has starter scaling, but not combo scaling.

I'm not expecting anything huge like throw loops being removed or any character to be destroyed. As a Marisa players, only thing I want for her is for scutum to not leave her in a mix up when she lands it. Let her get a light confirm on hit even if they scale it.

To remove throw loops, all they need to do is give you 4f wakeup throw protection. It's very unlikely that it would happen in this patch, but if they don't want to go through and regulate frames and distances of every character, this would be the lazy way.
Every jamie player has a different idea for him lol, but we all agree something would be nice. Ex drink is a pretty common idea, but longer animation would make it useless. Normal drink after a knockdown is still not super safe, especially against fast DRs; longer animation just means it’s never getting used.
My dream is that dive kick and bakkai are not locked behind drinks but the ex versions are. That or the moves get improved someway with the drinks. There’s no reason for these to be locked behind drinks when Cammy has better versions of those moves with no resources.
I appreciate that Chun buff, I always forget how much less it does compared to the average level 1.

Tbh, I'd rather have less pushback on Manon's lp, than being able to do counterhit into medium. Realistically the dream buff is a 6-frame medium, which is the best of both worlds, and a consistently good punish to drive reversal, but I'll legit just take the pushback buff if I couldn't be greedy lol.
I think another change for akuma that i think it fair is his hashogeki should be recognizable the version he used in other way that is not the startup like jinrai kicks where u can tell by audio ques by yeah that is also fine
The gief nerf is way more significant than it seems because a very common situation for gief is drive rush stand mp into strike/throw mixup, and the 2nd hit of the tc is usually the most reliable strike option at the ranges youd tend to go for this at...
...however if thats all we got hit with ill be getting on my knees wether its for jesus or for capcom
to get rid of throw loops, its very easy, KOF has been doing it for many years, that is wake up chars to gain a few frames of throw inv. i suppose capcom can make that normal throws only, command throws still works

With regular throw spacing in corner, Light Flicker does not connect. As well as this, you have to meaty Flicker *insanely* precisely in order for it to beat DI on wakeup. *And* with the existence of PP, or waiting to EX DP after Ed drags you in, his options on wakeup, while still strong, are fairly limited as is.
With only nerfing Medium, he has to be a lot riskier from extended ranges, which would add to the guessing games and actually be more fun to play with.
I definitely don't disagree with the punish, but hurting his light and ex psycho flicker in neutral and making him even weaker to DI than he already is would be awful to play with. Honestly I'd rather get rid of the Dream Combo than have to deal with randomly Drive Impacting players being rewarded with a third to even half of my health just for trying to play in my range. The amount of times I lose games from whiffing a DP or my opponent using DI against my high commitment hit confirms is infuriating.

13:53 I've been playing Deejay more lately and the only change I'd want for him this patch is less pushback on 2LK. He's very weak to people just walking out of his pressure right now since 5LP>2LK>2LP doesn't work without drive rush and he doesn't have a cancellable 2MK
Luke is not in a really good spot, he needs a neutral rework, he struggles without burning 3 bars, I would buff his tackle stance.

Nice video Broski! 4:24 While I agree that we shouldn’t take out uniqueness I feel that Jamie’s true problem is that he doesn’t stand out far enough. It feels like this characters has a constant tug of war between being a accessible rival to Luke, the 3rd iteration of the Fei-Long function, and himself the tricky drunken character.
Not only are his versions of his lineage’s moves just not great in a vacuum, two whole other characters have better ingame verisons of the rekka and divekick. Jamie has a whole unique mechanic of recovering drive gauge that is locked off to a part of the match where he should already be running over the other character. I’d honestly trade in some of his generic street fighter strengths for more meter gain gimmicky ones.
Of course my problems come from someone who has seen and played 4-6, newer players playing him aren’t gonna have my specific issues and I don’t even think Capcom “made him wrong” as that’d be a really dumb and self important thing ti say.
He’s my favorite new character they’d ever made and idc if he stays low tier but I want to lose as “Jamie the low tier” and not “Bad Cammy/Fei-Long”

@ sure! To be clear I don’t think that Jamie is Fei Long 2. So I probably should have put at the end Cammy/Twins to make it more clear. But I only bring up Fei to emphasize that Jamie is inspired by 3 previous characters and has none of their strength’s within the context of his own game.
He’s not absurdly safe like Yang nor has the afterimages, he doesn’t bulldoze people like Yun, he has to space his rekkas like Fei but they are awful on block and DI prone.
Yes design wise and lore wise he is mostly taking from the twins but all 3 take from Fei so I only bring it up as a reference point to show strictly within a gameplay sense he’s just a worse version of 3 other people and a whole other character in the game is just him without restrictions.
Animations, his design, theme, personality of course are all his own and are 🔥

As a Chun player, a buff I’ve been wanting is to give OD hazanshu a 2 frame faster startup so that 4hp will naturally combo into it. This is because right now OD hazanshu is pretty useless unless you’re using it for fireballs, but even then it’s not that good. Then again, I’m not really sure if this would be too strong or if she really needs it cause she isn’t that bad right now. Capcom will probably end up doing something like letting the second part of OD legs to cancel into lvl 3 however.

Kim’s never getting her invincible OD back. They buffed her a while ago by letting it combo into her lv2. That was pretty much the nail in the coffin for that dream. No way they let any character get away with 3k damage off a reversal. Akuma can’t even do that. Reverting that specific buff for an invincible reversal is an interesting debate. Essentially trading offense and damage for defense on a character with the worst neutral in the game anyway. I’d personally prefer better frame data on v edge. Make the light version as degenerate as scissor kick. Let Kim have something annoying that doesn’t risk getting her killed.
That dhalsim change will make the dhalsim vs grapplers even worse.
