Im a huge fan of Jaaaag, since forever. Love my ftype and Xe, but now i dont know if i want to show up in public with those. Guess ill gotta switch to BMW.
As car makers frantically try to rush out 'cheaper' EV's to stimulate demand or even pull away and return to ICE (ie, the cars people actually want), Jaguar head in the opposite direction - expensive, luxury EV's only and then put out a marketing video like THIS. They are either extremely confident or extremely stupid.
A company only rebrands when their identity is weak in the market position. Jaguar's brand was long established and strong. Who knows if this change was necessary, but it is definitiely an extremely risky gamble in the middle of an electrification revolution. It will take a decade for the casual observer to recognise and associate this new logo.
We are watching to the end of marketing, nothing f here stands. It seems that someone at their marketing dep missed the segmentation, target and position lecture.
Made this early in the morning, forgot to mention the I Pace, which is a really good looking (and driving) electric Jag. Not sure what was wrong with staying with that philosophy ...
It's quite sad to see brands such as Jaguar make these huge changes in order to cater a market which doesn't exist.
Summed up perfectly brother
Don't underestimate the youth with their empty schizoid core hooked on the algorythmic desire-creating machines (social media).
If they're going downhill, they should've at least went down swinging by continuing to make proper sporty cars. Not this way.
Agreed. We'll see what it gives

Almost nobody was buying I-Pace, I guess that's what was wrong. This was luxury brand that looked like... every other car.
@@differdf In the EU you see them sometimes. Not on the level of Tesla's or ix3's
@@quickcarpod Yes, I even know somebody who owns one - still sales were quite low.
@@differdf Interesting! Waymo uses them. Wonderful experience, nice to sit in.

Your critics are too toothless. Are you afraid of being cancelled?
Not at all, there was just no need
its a joke to go viral..
For their sake, I hope so.
I highly doubt it though.
