  • I am breeding Panda Corys using a spawning mop method, and this is the update of Day 1 to 7. There are more eggs almost everyday and the eggs started hatching! It's going to be a big family.
Their brothers and sisters are getting bigger and bigger everyday, and the eldest ones are ready for a bigger tank!

What's the breeder box inside the main tank? I use a marina breeder box as well and I get some fugitives in the main tank. Love the content.

Thank you for watching the video! I made the secondary breeding box with some suction cups. It works good since the water is automatically changed by putting it underneath of the outlet of the marina box. (It also catch the escaped babies.)
I also put some fine sponge to prevent the baby fish to flow out. But I needed to adjust the volume of inlet water and clean the sponge time to time to make sure it won't be flooded.

Will the snails eat the eggs if they are in the community tank?

Hello, thank you verry much for sharing this video. Could you please tell me if you use any treatment in order to prevent eggs from fungusing until they hatch?
    Thank you in advance 🙂

Thank you for watching the video! I've never used any treatments. I've heard a lot of people use methylene blue and it seems working well. But corys hutch around 5 days, so I don't think it's necessary. But growth of fungus probably depends on a lot of factor, so I would try methylene blue if fertile eggs got fungus problem.
What I do for now are:
      1. try to spread eggs apart.
      2. take out unfertile eggs as soon as possible.
      3. I move hutched ones when they start eating so the leftover food and fish waste won't affect the water quality.
      4. I may change water if it's not clean anymore.

@@delightfuldaze4793 Thank you very much for your prompt answer👍. I normally use meth blue; it works pretty well when you have large batches of eggs which makes difficult to eliminate the infertile or fungused ones, but seeing your water was obvious that you didn't use (it stains everithing 🙄) and I was thinking that maybe you use Hydrogen peroxide or any other solution. It's nice that you manage to raise them asnatural as possible; congratulations on your fine work 😉👍
