As a m4 gts owner the difference from my f82 fully loaded comp m4 to the m4 gts is equivalent to the jump between a 435i and a loaded m4. So many unique components of this car it is probably the most undervalued modern car imo. I mean ffs it was faster then the 911 gt3 rs of the same time period. The launch was awful I will 100% admit from all the cars still having the suspension spacers on (many to this day still have them on even though the technical guide shows you how to remove them). To people speculating on them when they released, many of them sold for insane overs while already having an aggressive msrp (the largest overs I've seen paid for one was identical to the msrp). I mean most of the NA cars still have the wings on backwards like they had to for delivery purposes in NA (the technical guide suggests you need the racing risers and endplates but it wasn't legal to be sold like that) Also the msrp really isnt that insane, my daily loaded m4 zcp has a sticker of 90 something. Factor in all the carbon panels on this car, the unique billet knuckles that are over 5k each. The bespoke KW partnership that kw went on from to release their v4 setup. The upgraded chassis for a roll cage that actually adds structure to the vehicle. Carbon ceramic brakes and then the water injection system which not only is cool as fuck but makes the car run so low on temps and is a huge homage to the history of bmw and their water injection systems used in ww2. I could go on and on and I'll have to actually film a video of me comparing a loaded m4, the m4 gts and a 991 gt3 rs but idk when I'll make a car channel.
Yeah don't get me wrong, the GTS is an incredible drive, however I'd have to disagree with you on the 435i analogy. Someone paid 2x over sticker for a GTS?! Now that's insane. Never seen someone who actually does serious towing or work on construction sites in a truck with more than leather seats and remote start assuming theyre not using a late 90s early 2000s F150 or ranger
facts, I used to work at an exotic car dealership that also used to deal in fleet vehicles. We were moving more ram TRXs than any dodge dealership in the state at one point and most of those buyers were suburban dads and basketball players while the most popular work trucks were crew cab 2500hd silverados with a service body and single cab long bed 1500s.
My Turo verdict after renting a well maintained 120,000 mile Giulia Ti with body damage all over the place but zero mechanical issues versus a 45,000 mile 4-series on crappy tires from the same exact guy: I would sooner buy two $20,000 used Giulia's than one $30,000 4-series every single time. Multiple reasons for this, but the most important is that listening to how the Alfa's infotainment pronounces city names is absolutely hysterical! Seriously, have it read out loud an address in San Antonio. It has a stroke half way through reading it 🤣 Also there's a reason a 2014 F-150 is reasonably priced: Those engines are flaming gutter trash.
@@lucasokeefe7935 lol I use carplay on everything that has it so OEM navigation system pronunciation is almost irrelevant imo. But trim for trim, you really would take a giulia over a 3/4 series?
@@Vincetagram For the model years that I drove, I honestly would. They were 2016 for the BMW and 2018 for the Giulia. Something about the interior aesthetic on the Giulia seems nicer to me, I really didn't like how the BMW would chirp its tires when I wasn't even trying to get it to (probably due to crappy tires, but still). Brakes seem a to have a lot more initial bite than the BMW, which I liked. I'm not one to really use or even look at infotainment while I'm moving, so the UI interface doesn't matter as much to me, and I just feel like the Giulia has a nicer mix of road feel and comfort. Fun "drivers car" versus OCD businessmobile. My one complaint was that it is soooo hard to figure out where that front panel is going end up, which probably explains all the body damage on the one I rented.
@ that's honestly a fair take. I think the dashboard and center console were laid out much better in the giulia. I think the e9x 3 series interior was a better design than the f3x 3/4 series, and I was about to say that the e90 might have had a better interior than the alfa 159(giulia predecessor) but I just googled the alfa 159 interior and realized that it also had a nicer interior(or at least a better looking one). Damn alfa's interior guys were on it for sure!
@ and maybe you'll agree with me on this, but I think the bmws most definitely had better infotainment though. I think the mid-late 2010s bmw iDrive was the best infotainment of any car of that era.
@ Oh for sure the BMW infotainment is/was better, but like you said when everything is controlled by apples and robots these days the OEM design is moot. In the used market tt's also a choice between great infotainment with a leaky powertrain or a crap infotainment with arguably the best powertrain Alfa has ever produced.
I feel that, personally I wouldn't spend that much on an e92 either, but if you want something that's gonna be as clean as most of these M3 GTS are, that 60-70k range is gonna give you a pretty low mileage car that reflects the condition of most of these e92 GTS cars.
Having a Alfa Romeo Giulia, it’s a nice sporty car. But the QV version and even the GTAM are like the worse of the sports sedans. Like the M cars just are made specifically for performance, unlike the Giulia. The Alfa is fun but is definitely the underdog or worst of the batch of luxury sports sedans
@ don’t get me wrong the QV stock vs stock most German cars would beat it, but a decently modified QV can hold its own. It’s just an alternative to having a M or AMG, but stock for stock, Ms are likely faster. A QV Giulia is a lot of fun, definitely worth 50-60k or less. But paying 70k+ for one would be a waste at that point.

@@keyser_söze23 their designer has worked for maserati in the past as well as lancia but at the time that the giulia was being developed, pininfarina was still designing cars for ferrari.
@Vincetagram Pininfarina left Ferrari in 2012, the F12Belinetta was the last car. The Alfa was unveiled in 2015, released in 2016. The car had a very, very short development period.
@ oh dang, totally forgot. Even still, Marco Tencone, the lead designer who worked on the Giulia has never designed a Ferrari. You can certainly see the maserati alfieri influence in his early giulia drawings though.
@Vincetagram I agree about Marco....but he wasn't alone, people who had just left or were about to leave Ferrari, worked on the Giulia. A basic search reveals this.
The Alfa Romeo GTAm is definitely overpriced as a MF. But that is my dream car, imo it’s the most beautiful sports sedan EVER made (the GTAm, not the regular Giulia), even if it’s severely underpowered.
So gtam is a straight competition to m4csl and its basically better at many things, if you want to pay less you can buy a standard one for 80k. The problem with these videos is that the guy talks very much but didnt actually drive any of those cars so really doesent have clue of what these cars really drive. If he just compares base data a modded 340 can be faster than a bugatti but whats the point. Im not gonna talk bout his taste for me the alfa is way nicer than the gt3 and the m4csl. Also to prove my point hes making a point how a 911 gt3 is the holy grail and should be at the alfa price, well the 911 has a whole chasis to compensate for the bad engine placement and a gt4 rs is better balanced but if he just compares cars from videos he might not know that.
so the thing is I literally said I've driven every car in this video except the GTA and GTAm. Then here you go taking words out of my mouth and missing the entire point. I used the 911 gt3 solely as a price competitor, if the GTA and GTAm are an M4 CSL competitor(which they're really a straight competitor to the older M4 GTS like I said) and in reality, they're more or less an FBO giulia, then they certainly don't hold a candle to a gt3 which I have driven and no way you're trying to compare any version of a giulia to that, which is why I said they shouldn't cost more than a GT3 did new at the time. But if you didn't pay attention literally at all you might not know that/
@@Vincetagram Sure, my point was mostly to say that youre saying you would choose lets say an m8 over a gtam and thats why i siad you dont drive cars, bcs its like someone would say why buy an small rs3 whem you can get a s5 maybe even s6 in a similar price. And yes you can but the rs3 is a whole better drivers car. My reference to the csl was bcs of you saying its too expensive when the csl costs basically the same( and no gtam is definitely in csl space, it came out earlier but its a level above the gts), so its not really anything special its just priced as its competitor. Also comparing used cars to new cars misses the whole point. They are cheaper not only because of depreciation, but when someone uses these cars your brakes, tires, clutch and other components are closer to replacement which also costs a lot. And its just no a new car, its like buying a used hoodie its not the same. So comparing this doesent make much sense sure you can buy a used beat aventador cheaper than a brand new evo not its not like you can buy a used evo even cheaper.
@@AMNEZ6 ok, well then take the M8 out of the comparison, actually, scrap the entire comparison, my point still stands lol. An FBO giulia is not worth even $150k. Majority of people out there shopping in the 200k budget, or even the 170k price range where these cars are probably sitting right now, are not thinking about a GTAm or GTA and the people shopping for a giulia are not trying to spend that much money. I think with the 500 made they've reached the entire market of people who would want a car like that and are willing to pay that kind of money for it and that niche market that actually knows that these exists are maintaining the value of it, whereas the M4 GTS was much more aggressively marketed to the masses who knew it wasn't worth that much, which is why we've seen the value drop as hard as it has.
@@Vincetagram sure man i also wouldnt pay that bcs i would take a regualr qv, rs3 and stil had 100k left, but i also wouldnt pay that for the csl which is in its price category and thats my point that the category of the csl doesent make much sense bcs if you want a hardcore car you can get a gt4rs new for less but still this category exists and gtam is priced as the competitor

Back in my day GTA meant Grand Turismo Alleggerita
I mean my dad has a 2017 Tundra but we don't go offroad all that much but we do go to hardware stores sometimes so in situations like those I'd say it's fine to have a truck
But ppl are out here paying 150k for a truck that will never see the light of day that's wild to me 💀💀💀
@@kb0x haha my dad has a 1500 limited and he used the height adjustable suspension for the first time ever this past summer to raise the truck and get through high waters when it flooded and we were so geeked lol.
Same with the range rovers over here ain't none doing off road😂
And g wagons. And it’s crazy because g wagons and RR sports are low key more capable than a lot of half ton pickups off road.
I mean most of the NA cars still have the wings on backwards like they had to for delivery purposes in NA (the technical guide suggests you need the racing risers and endplates but it wasn't legal to be sold like that)
Also the msrp really isnt that insane, my daily loaded m4 zcp has a sticker of 90 something.
I seriously thought the most outlandish list price on one of these was 150k and I still had no clue if it actually sold for that. Honestly an m4 gts vs gt3rs comparison would be a video I'd watch, do it!

The Giulia GTAM is pretty. It needed only one thing to make it worth it. A Ferrari V8 and if it had a V8 it would be worth 500k.
You’re not lying. That would have been the first non-bespoke car with a ferrari motor. I don’t think that would have been true to alfa though. I think it would have needed a stroked or bored out engine that revs higher and sounds better, and 2 less doors.

Feel thet truck rant. The dudes who actually need the trucks for work are getting the lower end F250 and 350/2500 and 3500 cause it gets the job done and is gonna be thrashed at 120k.
It has a stroke half way through reading it 🤣
Also there's a reason a 2014 F-150 is reasonably priced: Those engines are flaming gutter trash.

@@Vincetagram sure man i also wouldnt pay that bcs i would take a regualr qv, rs3 and stil had 100k left, but i also wouldnt pay that for the csl which is in its price category and thats my point that the category of the csl doesent make much sense bcs if you want a hardcore car you can get a gt4rs new for less but still this category exists and gtam is priced as the competitor

nah I've driven the m8, it most definitely feels a bit more numb, it's more of a soft GT car that happens to be fast, but it's a better performer with a nicer interior and somebody might find more value in that. I certainly think it's worth more of it's price than the GTA and GTAm are. My whole point with that was that there are just nicer options at that price point.
