- I had such an exhausting yet fun week full of planty things! @unplantparenthood and I did our first ever live on the Palm Street app (formerly known as PlantStory) which was incredibly nerve wracking but also such an amazing experience to see so many people show up 🥹 we did some anthurium repotting and chopping in her plant room, I show you a little wishlist plant acquisition, and then spend the last day visiting our friends at Vandula Farms for the Ecuagenera pop up and visited another local garden centre for plant and plant pot shopping 🖤

LAVENDER LEMONADE RECIPE
Ingredients:
Lemon juice 1 cup / 250g
Water 1 cup / 250g
Sugar 1 cup / 200g
Lavender 2 tbsp
Butterfly pea flower powder 1 tsp (optional)
1. In a small sauce pan, add water, sugar, and lavender. Bring to a simmer while mixing; once almost boiling, turn off heat and let syrup cool down to room temperature before straining
2. To make lemonade concentrate, combine 250g lemon juice with 250g lavender syrup
3. OPTIONAL: in a separate container, mix 1 tsp butterfly pea flower powder with a splash (~1-2 tsp) of warm or hot water until all of the powder has dissolved
4. Drink building: in a glass with ice, add a ratio of 1:2 lemonade concentrate to water. E.g. for 200g of lemonade concentrate, add 400g of water. Mix. Top with a splash of butterfly pea solution to desired intensity of purple colour. Enjoy!
**you'll have lavender syrup left over after making this recipe because I didn't bother calculating a recipe that perfectly matches the syrup usage to the lemon juice because I sometimes use gravimetric measurements and sometimes volumetric but the important thing is now you have lavender syrup

I’ve been watching things on Britbox. It’s all shows from the UK. Great shows. I’ve been watching cop shows so far. But it’s great. There are so many to choose from. It’s screaming show. I get it through prime. It’s the only way to get to the channel.

Can confirm. Euphorbia and Cacti work in tree fern soil with a ton of extra perlite in it. Ran out of cactus mix, so I had to dig into my anthurium mix. 😅

My dog is very barky. At EVERYTHING!! But he’s anxiety ridden with separation anxiety. He snarks, snaps, growl s as s barks at other dogs and people. He’s 15 lbs and thinks he a full sized dog. I keep him on a short tight leash around anyone else. Sometimes makes for a tense walk for me
the "fern" is actually an asparagus Fern and it is not nearly as finicky as any other real fern

Hey Alice! Is tree fern fibre/tree fern soil your preferred substrate for your anthuriums now? Do you still grow any in pon? TIA
Can you put them under dimmer bulbs move all your plants that need a dimmer light onto the same shelf with a dimmer bulb. Would that help?
You’ll have no problem at all rooting your monkey tail babies when you propagate them in the future. Definitely let them get at least 4-5” (sorry, American) before you cut 😉 Just make sure they have ample light!

Your collection is majority Anthuriums now. So i am enjoying the mix and match vlogs now more. I totally agree House of Dragon was so disappointing i was expecting it to be better than Game of Thrones. Not sure if you watch The Witcher unfortunately they’re changing the actor. So i won’t be continuing watching it. The Wolf in Me is good season 2 just finished. I am loving The American Horror Stories aswell. If you like suspense, thriller and a bit of gore. Compared to horror movies which i find them not great anymore only the classics.

I have downloaded and uninstalled and reinstalled the app about 10 times now including today but the app doesn't work for me.
